Ah finally! Nice to see the arrival of the two visitors! I was starting to wonder when you would stop concealing the fact that she was pregnant - good work though to go through half a chapter alluding to it.
Great to see that Severus is getting such exercise like jumping to conclusions and running off at the mouth!Any chance of a retrospective reflections? As I am sure that Hermione would have thought about her options when she realised she was pregnant and therefore made an active descision to keep the child regardless of Severus' wishes. I would like to know her thoughts on that - as well as how she kicked herself for forgetting that antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of the pill/potion. (Hmmm...Lack of safe sex...I am assuming they had discretely had STI checks before dispensing with the condom). I imagine it would have been 'interesting' telling the others including her children...and there will also be the article in the Prophet too...Great work. Thanks for this, I am waiting with baited breath for the next/next few installments.Cheers.

One says that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and our "dear" Severus is a brilliant example for that statement! Honestly, the man migth have had a unce of regret for how he treated Hermione, but he only have to open his mouth, and voila; insert foot!!! He could have had the most brilliant way of showing that he actually had a honorable and valuble side to his personality, but noooooo, he is just completly unable to treat Hermione as something else than dirt benit his shoes. Instead of using the child as a way to show Hermione that he is a man worth having, he just have to tell her that she will hear from his lawyer, what a brilliant way to get someones trust. She tells him over and over again that he never let her know anything about him, but does he listen and use the oppertunity to tell her that they will have to work things through, nooooo, the man is just so stupid I want to smack his head into a wall. I honestly, truly, don't want to see Hermione falling lovesickly into his arms anytime soon, the child don't deserve two idiot parents, not to mention I would like to have some respect for Hermione at least when I can't find anything respectful about Severus. Well, ok, he is obvious a caring father for Liam, and as long as they are Slytherin he can be somewhat of a friend too, but towards Hermione he is nothing but disgusting, he annoys me so much it hurts. Can he actually be a good father for Hermiones child when he regards it's mother with such contempt? It is about time the Severus took a long good look at him self and ask about his motivations for being involved with this child, hasn't his contempt and disrespect for Hermione gone far enough, is it necessary to punish a innocent child too? And, I know that I am spiteful and probably a tad unfair about Severus, but I just hate the way he behaves, not to mention that he probably will be "getting away" with it. (And I just love a story so well written that I makes me this emotional involved:-)))
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
I love it when people get emotional! Well, it had to have been a huge shock to walk in and find her pregnant--and enough to show--with what looked like to him no intentions of letting him know. She's had a long time to tell him, and right now, all he's thinking of is the baby.

ohhh, Severus is pissing me off big time! First he leaves her, with no note, no explination - then he gets mad at her for leaving...now he's going to fight her over the baby? She knows next to nothing about him, and that is his fault - stubborn, pig headed...man! grrrNow I'm sure he has his own reasons for acting the way he is, but still - he wouldn't even talk to her, just scream at her and threaten her. And after that huge fight they had, I don't blame her for leaving him in Italy at all! He needs to take a good long look at the way he's treated her and do some serious begging for forgivness...but the way he's acting atm, I doubt he'll see that...Maybe I'm just jaded, but from my experience with men who act the way you've written him, he will probably try to turn things completely around so that she feels guilty for leaving him, etc. - if he does this, will Hermione see it for what it is, or fall for it I wonder? hehe, ok I'm babbling so I'll shut up now...Great chapter, can't wait to read more!
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Thanks! Well, I agree that so far he's acted very bad, but seriously, how would you feel if you walked in and found out that she is pregnant with what looked like no intentions of telling him. He is not wanting to fight for custody, just parental rights. But you're right, she doesn't know him well...

Wonder how long it's going to take Severus to find out why she left... If he had only written her a note before he went home that night... *sighs*Wonder also if Narcissa had seen enough of Hermione to notice she was pregnant (when she ordered the book) and guessed that the baby was Severus'... Could explain the sudden need for him to run errands for her.Looking forward to the next!
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Thanks. Yes, he should have, but I think he thought he would be back before she woke up....Narcissa is no fool!

No, the tables have not turned. She is stuck. She does not have a chance against him. There was a chance with abortion, but it is too late now. You plan to change Snape? Nah, no way. Pity this can never turn out well. Not believably, that is.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Why would you say she is stuck? Why would she need to have an abortion? She can have this baby without Severus if she wants. All she would have to do is let him have visitation...
Response from lipa (Reviewer)
You've already written his response to the visitation proposition. Your Snape is quite consistent, he does what he wants and does not take no for an answer (or "yes" if he decided "no"). She would have had a hard time standing her ground even without pregnancy. You demostrated it quite clearly in their last meeting in Italy. She slipped away while he was not looking.
Pregnant with his child, with the child's well-being in mind as she (properly) is, she cannot in clear conscience run away and hide the child from him. So she must remain available. He is not satisfied with anything short of exactly what he wants and he wants to have full control over her. He wanted it while he was only sexually interested in her and he wants it much more now when the things have gone deeper. She does not stand a chance.
Without pregnancy she might have tried to shut him out of her life, but she would probably have needed to run away and hide (and suffer). With his child in her belly and later in her vicinity, she will not be able to avoid him as often and as much as he pleases.
So, what is strange about my reading of your story?=
I suppose you have a plan how to make all this work for Hermione and probably a kind of happy ending for all involved and I will read what you write. I just don't see the possibility of believing it.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
All I've written is him saying he would be a part of this child's life. He is the father, and as such has rights. He never said he would take the child. She did not slip away as you put it. She'd had enough and left. Period. She wouldn't want to run away and hide the child. She is not saying he cannot see the child, she's merely saying she wants to get to know him better. And she never said she wouldn't get her own lawyer. In past chapters, I think it was clearly stated he was more than just sexually interested in her, he just never said his feelings out loud. He thought them and tried to ignore them, but they never went away. She had every intention of telling him she was pregnant, as she'd mentioned a letter she'd written and was going to send. She simply wanted to wait until her children were gone because although she didn't know how he'd react, she did figure he would confront her.I do have a plan. Not sure if it will be believable to you, but it's something I would believe. ~shrugs~

Go and get her NOW! Silly silly man. He said those things to her, then makes love to her while while she is drunk, then leaves her? I would have thought he had realised Hermione was more imprtant than a house full of guests!

What an idiot! gets a second chance and doesn't even leave a note! Thanks for another chapter in this comedy of errors. I look forward to more about Snape's son as well as SSHG.For once even the Malfoys were giving him good advice (as opposed to "join the Dark Lord." Hermione must feel a right fool now, (and angry, I'm certain she's very angry, at herself and Severus)
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Yes! Sometimes I think men just don't have a clue! Oh yes. And she will get angrier...

After the way he treated her it serves him right! Bloody bloke! All he did was use her, and now he thinks one descent shag and everything is all right? Men!
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Exactly! Well, he didn't use her, he treated her that way to fight his feelings for her, but in her mind, because she didn't know what he was thinking/feeling, he used her.

A right bastard, indeed! This was a tough chapter, but I think we saw it coming. Lots of raw emotion. I particularly liked the line when Hermione acknowledged his 'direct hit'. At one time or another, we have all had those moments... Ouch, for certain--I ache just remembering.
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Thank you! Yes, he is. I agree. Men are so condtradicting. They want you to act a certain way, and then when you do (sometimes just to please THEM) this is what happens. I ache remembering, too.

He needs to grow up! Could you give him a good slap and tell him to get his act together?
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Thanks! LOL! Yes, he does. He does have reasons for pushing her away. NOT excuses, but his own reasons. By trying to protect himself, he's hurt her horribly. He will suffer for it.

Wow. That is extreme frog.
I don't think I want Severus to fix his mess. That type of deliberate cruelty is better to leave alone. Even if it goes underground in the guise of "good behavior," it will cuttingly resurface the next time a disagreement occurs.I hope she takes her still-packed trunk and finds happier hunting grounds. No one deserves that kind of abuse. Even reformed, he's no prize. Stand up for yourself and shake the dust from your feet Hermione. (There is no emoticon for "now you can kiss my ass good-bye" but if there were, it would be inserted here).
Response from cocoachristy (Author of From a Frog to a Prince)
Thank you! Right, no price here yet! What happened here was that in trying to protect his own heart, he ripped hers in two. NOT an excuse, just an explanation. I don't agree with his method at all. He wanted to hurt her enough so that she'd end things, and well, he did, eh? Now, all he can do is regret it and know that while hurting her, he hurt himself as well--something he didn't quite expect.Don't worry, Hermione won't stand for it!
