Severus said he didn't think Hermione should keep his paternity a secret.  Now that Ron knows, it's hardly likely to STAY a secret unless she obliviates him fast!  Ron probably had his head in the floo talking to the Burrow even before Snape left Hermione's.Thanks for the updates!  Bring on the battle of wills!

So Severus learned from his 'mudblood' experience with Lily that some hurts are unforgiveable- or at least unforgetable.  One may forgive and yet be unable to forget.He learned, but didn't benefit from that knowledge when it came to Hermione.  And as incredible as it always is to me, I do actually know people who will do equally stupid things and sabotage their own happiness or success. So I can't accuse you of over playing that aspect of the tale.  I hope that Snape, unlike so many people, can learn.

Some people are just deaf to the word. Great chapter, wonderfully tragic story. I won't say "Go Snape!" until he really starts pulling out the big guns... but I do hope they reconcile.

This was the perfect way to do it. I'm sooooo thankful that Hermione is making a point here to be strong. Severus needs to understand what he did to her by hurting her over and over again. I am really enjoying the direction of this fic. Well done.

Some answers finally!  YaY!  LOL.  'Course, now I really feel bad for them all--Severus, Liam, AND Hermione.  I can't wait to see what's coming next!

First let me start by apologizing for not leaving a review since chapter 4.  While I have been reading your story faithfully, I have been in a funky place personally and not been up to reviewing.  Let me make up for that by saying this is a wonderful, well written, grown-up story.  Relationships don’t always happen instantly and sometimes the time line for each partner is different, making coming together more difficult.  I have faith that they will figure things out and get together in the end.  I also like what you are doing with Ron’s character.  The way Hermione nailed him (and by proxy Molly and Lavender) for staying up to put his nose in her business where it didn’t even belong was dead on.  If he was really concerned for her welfare and that of his children there are better ways to express it.  (Boy I have heard this story in real life before as well.)  Keep up the excellent work.  As always I look forward to your updates.  Thanks for sharing, JoAnne

Thank you so much for the update! I look forward to read the battle of wills, and I will grumpingly admit that I want Severus to redeem him self at some point, I want my happy ending after all. BUT, promise me that Hermione won't make it easy for him? He treated her so badly, both in words and actions, I really don't think he understands the dept of the hurt he inflicted. For him to come along now and think that she can easily be persuaded to tie her self to him, shows more that he doesn't see and understand fully what he did, more than it shows any regret on his part. He claims that some of the reason was that he tried to protect him self since the two women he loved before both died. Well, he lost Lily a long time before she died, not only because she didn't love him the way he loved her, but most because he in words and actions treated her like worthless shit, about the same as he did Hermione. "Mudblood" and a tatoo that binds you to a maniac who wants to kill her, aint a reasonable way to show affection... The loss of Shannon was tragic, I am happy that he actually seemed to have loved and let him self be loved at some point, not to mention that his son will know that his father loved his mother. The fact remains that he never showed any respect for Hermione. They agreed upon a non-committed sexual relationship, and while most would have considered that to be an agreement to have enjoyable sex with not promises of a future, Severus considered her acceptance to said relationship as a free pass to treat her with no respect whatsoever, and in words as well as action, as less than a free whore. He can never take that back, and he should have one hell of a job to even make her consider forgiving him. Why should she belive that he wont treat her just as bad all over again as soon as she commit to him? At this point she has more reason to belive that making an agreement with him will only lead to more harthache and humiliation than any form for functional family. That said, I do so look forward to the next update;.))
