I've just realized why this story moves me so much. It's all about rebuilt families. I got friends who were married, divorced and are now married to a person who lived through the same thing. And I must say cohabitation was difficult at the beginning. Children were bickering all the time and their repective parents didn't know what to do. Now they all live in relative peace but I know it's been a hard time. This particular subject is rarely evoked in fanfiction because Severus has rarely children on his own before going with Hermione. Nor any of the other chatacter. So I'm very you decided to browse this particular subject even if it isn't the primary theme.

You brought tears in my eyes when Severus was rekating the circumstances of Shannon's death. There was so much emotion in those few lines it was overwhelming.
