Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! More after the weekend.
Really enjoying this story, quite a different take on the Marriage Law. Can't wait for the duelling to begin.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hope it is very different to other MLC fics. Duelling next chapter!
I love this story!I'm hopeing that Hermione is to be married to booth Severus and Lucioes? There booth so strong and dark I wish I was Hermione! Please update soon!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! It's been updated today.
Wow. I cant wait to find out exactly what Hermione is missing out on in those 6 months. It must be something interesting if Snape is teasing Hermione and telling her to call him Severus!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! You'll soon find out what she missed, although no flashbacks in this story (as far as I know, it's a WIP after all, and I'm at the mercy of the plot bunny)
Can't wait for more!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! More in a couple of days.
Why do I think it's been an interesting 6 months she's missed out on? I'm looking forward to more--I have a feeling this is going to be a bumpy ride before the end.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Heh! There is that interesting implied history of some sort with Severus. Thank you! It will be a fairly bumpy ride.
Excited 'bout the potential here. Can't wait for future chapters.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! I hope this story will live up to that potential. Three more chapters will be posted over the next two weeks, with more being written.
Oh! I am SOOOOoooooo in! Loving it already - more, please! Thank you!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! More in a couple of days!
That is really an interesting premise. I can't wait to see where you take it.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'll be posting the chapters I have written so far over the next fortnight.
ack i hate cliff hangers but i like the new twist on the marriage law cool beginingi look forward to your next post
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Cliffie? What cliffie? Oh. That one. Believe me, it's a very minor one for me!Thank you! I'll be posting the next chapter soon.
YES!!!! An MLC with a very interesting twist! I'm hooked!AND: (the epilogue was spat out and savaged to pieces). Would that the editors would have stepped in and savaged it before the damn book was published. Ooopsie. Did I say that?Looking forward to more BIG TIME!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm very glad to hear it.If only the editors had stepped in!More coming soon. Within the next two days.
Interesting plot. I can't wait to read more.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks, more coming soon!
Oddly enough, I'm studying polyandry in Anthropology class right now So far, we've read an article about the prominence of polyandry in Tibet - among BROTHERS! The article is called "When Brothers Share a Wife." While a woman being married to more than one man, or a man being married to more than one woman, isn't my cup of tea, having one's spouses be SIBLINGS is somewhat disturbing. At least the children will resemble each other! Anyway, this is quite an interesting story, and I look forward to the next chapter!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Part of my uni course involved a Social Anthropology class, which did cover polyandry among other things... but it didn't occur to me as the correct term for this story until one of my betas reminded me of it. I heard about siblings marrying the same person, too... not my cup of tea either!Thank you, I'll be posting the next chapter later on this week.
Very interesting premise, with the promise of my favourite threesome as an unexpected but welcome twist. What's not to like?!Also, I love the hint of there having been some familiarity between our favourite couple before the dratted plague parted them. Makes a refreshing change from the angsty start to most MLCs, with a tearful Hermione and a cold Severus. (Or perhaps that is merely wishful thinking on my part?)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you!I assure you, it's not wishful thinking. If Severus starts becoming emotionally cold, he won't stay that way.
Wow, what a great start to a story. Really a new twist and it just makes me wanting more. So update soon, please!gabPS: Thank you very much, that was the first time since DH that I read H. JEAN Granger....
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! More coming later on this week.It is DH compliant, so I thought I might as well use her new middle name!

Oh, what a great beginning! I'm going to toy with a MLC soon, I think, I can feel it coming, and I'm glad to see the challenge is being cheerfully mutated to work after DH!
Author's Response: Thank you! Good luck with your toying around with the MLC. A MLC plot bunny has been rampaging around my imagination for a while. Then Shiv5468 had to introduce me to threesome fics. Mutated really is the word!
Love the start
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the rest of it.
Ah, I gather Snape and Hermione had a chance to develop some sort of relationship, friendship or closeness that allowed for the exchange of first names and now she no longer remembers. Time to move to plan B Severus. I guess he will have to appeal to her logic or woo her.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks for reviewing!Indeed they were close before the onset of the plague. Severus has his ways, yes!
A very entertaining story. Lucius = shark, good analogy.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! When picturing that bit of the scene, it did seem like the best metaphor to use.
bravo another wonderful chapter my dear thank you
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm glad you think so!
Very nicely written, and, while I'm not one to beg for rapid updates (my own fics languish for extended periods of time while RL kicks my backside around), I do appreciate and follow a well-told tale. The level of detail is excellent, and I cannot figure out what it is Hermione's forgotten OR exactly what or how the plague has been instituted. Kudos for piecing together a mystery that's keeping me wondering, which is not an easy thing to do. I do wonder, though, if and when HG & SS will figure out that Lucius is not simply being a (insert favourite insult here), and when LM will figure out that honesty and honour on his part will reconcile the trio as a working trio. SS/HG may be the main pairing, but keeping LM and HG as would-be lover and barely tolerant wife is almost inhumane. Ah, well, it will be as you write it, so I've no room to complain or nag, or even attempt to influence. Again, this is very well written and I look forward to more when you can get it posted!RA
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you very much! I'm very glad that you like the level of detail and that the story keeps you wondering. It's possible that Lucius's situation might improve, but it's certainly the sort of thing that takes time to change.I hope you enjoy the rest of the story as and when I can write and post it - there is an update coming as soon as my betas have finished with it.
Very good -- I hope we get a Christmas present early with the gift of another chapter or two!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I wish that had been possible! Unfortunately real life was (and is...) busy. The best I could manage was posting chapter 16 fairly soon after Christmas.
Yay! Lucius saves the day!!! Who would have thought? :) Any other steamy scenes comming? pretty please?:)lol, great chapter!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It certainly makes a change for Lucius to save the day!No other steamy scenes, no, although I'm flattered that you think there have been some.Thank you!
Grrr Slughorn. What a pompus ares! Party?! With everything going on - he's worried about his parties?I'd hoped that Mrs. Granger would have been up to see the castle. oh, well. Or she could have had tea in Hogsmeade? lolSlughorn's guilt rang a tiny bell? Why Idon't know, almost as if he'd had something to do with the plague? silly me. That old book, how sad that he didn't see the crossed out names.I wonder why the Prophet is out for Severus' blood?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Now that he knows the full details, Slughorn might forget about those parties... well, maybe! And with any luck he'll know to do his job right so that he sees things like those crossed out names.Too bad that the anti-Muggle wards meant that all Mrs Granger would see were ruins!Maybe they think that because he invented/helped invent the cure, he must be responsible for its failure? Thanks for commenting.
Oh it's bleak. Muggle-born babies? I feel like backreading to see what it was that Hermione had forgotten, that one thing that is nagging at her. I do hope her mum has a fun time seeing the castle though. lol
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Definitely bleak... Whatever it is that Hermione has forgotten, I don't think she's remembered it yet.It certainly should be an interesting sight...Thanks for reviewing.
