Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Great first chapter - interesting concept. I can say that I have read quite a few marriage law fics but never with this premise so I am excited to see where your story goes.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hoped that this premise would be unique. Hope you enjoy the rest of this story!
It sounds so more than good. Hope for more very soon.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! More will be posted soon.
I think she will regret to have asked the question. I love that beginning.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
She may well regret it, but unfortunately she does need to know.Thank you! Glad you did.
This has me wondering if perhaps there might be something viciously wrong with me. You see, I find the whole idea of two thirds of female wizarding population refreshing. Here, finally, is a Marriage Law that draws upon logical assumptions. It is devised to prevent exuberant fighting over women by promoting official sharing (ok, you say something about saving the wizarding population, but I choose to ignore that in favour of the other argument). It is flawed to the core, but hey, it has much better logic than attempts to save the population downfall. Because, let's face it, there is no need for two men to produce a baby or two. If it came down to men, their choice is billions of offspring with each coupling. Potentially, of course. Anyway, I just wanted to say 'Hey, ayerf, this is great!'
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm very glad that you do find this concept refreshing and even logical (albeit flawed, but what would be a marriage law with no flaws?).Thank you again!
Can't tell you how happy I am at a new twist at the MLC. I'm a fanatic about the Marriage Law! Love them, and this one is a brilliant turn. But -and there's always a but- when Ron and Severus step out of the ward, you wrote: 'Once out in the corridor, Severus cast Muffliato before returning his wand to the pocket in his robes.' Then, you have Hermione eavesdropping on their conversation from the other side of the door. Should she have been able to hear their conversation through the spell? The explanation of the spell at the Lex is a little confusing.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you, I'm very glad you like my twist! The Lexicon's explanation of Muffliato was a little confusing! This line in the first paragraph of Hermione's eavesdropping hopefully makes it clear how she could: So when Snape had followed Ron, Hermione had got out of bed and padded over to the closing door just in time to be included in the range of Snape's spell.
Heavens! Poor Hermione, barely awake for the first time in a while, and already, suitors are willing to duel over the right for her hand. More, soon, please?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Poor girl, it's all go for her! More will be posted on Monday.
What a ham-handed attempt at a marriage proposal. Ron is such a yutz. I'm curious as to which other witches survived. Obviously Narcissa didn't. Any of the Hogwarts girls?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Ron could have done better, yes. I do actually have a list of who died and who survived, although the full list might not be included in the story. Some of the Hogwarts girls will have survived, although others will have perished.
lovely beginning :) I hope you continue the tale. Thank you for writing and I eagerly await the next update
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I intend to complete this story. Next chapter up on Monday!
cacklecackle!!!A lovely little twist on the MLC. I am going to enjoy following this one.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm very glad that you think it is. Hope you do enjoy the rest of it!
The memory loss matter could make for lots of interesting possibilities - especially since we'll have only others' recollections of what she actually did. I'm really enjoying your story thus far!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hope you continue to enjoy it!
Still loving it! I enjoy having the Severus-Hermione relationship unfold for us much as it is unfolding for her. Nice. Ron was a little...the way Ron often is in Potions Under Duress...poor hapless Ron. But I do love the scheming Slytherins up to their no-goodnik shenanigans. Weeeee!!! Perfect situation for sexual tension, baby...THANK YOU!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! Glad you're still enjoying this. Poor hapless Ron... I almost feel guilty for the way I've treated him. Scheming Slytherins are a lot of fun!
Lucius is an idiot. But wow, Ron is really being stupid.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Yes, those were not the best ideas for either of them! But at least Ron had the excuse of acting instead of thinking.
Very interesting take on the MLC. I like it. I can't wait to see how this story develops.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! Hope you like the rest of the story.
Oi, Lucius is going to make a mess of things.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It's what Lucius does best!
Oh, I would LOVE to know what happened in that missing year. It sounds like Severus got rather close to Hermione before she fell ill. Hmm...
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
No flashbacks planned, I'm afraid! Just mentions from those who already know what happened. It does sound rather like that, yes...
lol I so can see Lucius like this. Bravo, ayerf. Another brilliant chapter. Until next chapter.Tamara aka

OH my this is brilliant. I just can't wait to see where you take this lovely piece.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the rest of it!
And so the story really begins.... Excellent so far, very exciting.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Hope you find the rest of it has the same standard.
Very creative and interesting. I adore what you have done so far and I hope this will be a fairly long story as it is so filled with promise.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! There are four chapters written and the fifth in progress, with more to come. Not sure exactly how many, though.Hope you enjoy the rest of it and that it lives up to that promise.
awesome concept, this is looking very good
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hope the rest of it will be as good.
Very interesting take on the Marriage Law. I didn't think it was possible anymore to spin anything original out of this challenge, but you certainly proved me wrong :P Can't wait to see where this goes
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you very much! Originality is what I aim for. I'll be posting more after the weekend.
duelling chum lol thayt made me giggle as for ron o well he can go marry lavander and they didnt really have a relationship they had tension but i am sure you will find away to make this storry even more intresting i cant imagine being married to a pair like serveus and lucius what a powerful team they would make and dare i say some good fun could be had by all but the weasley clan i can see id going to be a problem i am sure you will work that out too i am looking forward to your next post thank you
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I really don't like repeating words if I can help it, so it was 'duelling chum' instead of 'second'. Glad you liked it!I'm sure Ron will find someone. When he's been properly discouraged from pursuing Hermione. Thanks, I'm glad to hear it! Next post after the weekend.

Hehehe. Good old Ron, always there to be a klutz! Will there be a duel?
Author's Response: Thanks! Ron can be counted on like that, poor boy. Indeed, there will be a duel.
I like the fact that Hermione saw right through Ron's pathetic attempt at a marriage proposal.I would definately choose Severus over Ron any day!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
To give Ron the benefit of the doubt, he might not have thought his timing through properly. It was certainly a pathetic attempt!I suspect most of us would choose Severus over most people, certainly over Ron.
Interesting! I'd choose any Snape or Malfoy before any Weasley (especially Ron)... so it doesn't look too bad for her!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! I'd certainly choose Severus over any Weasley, although maybe not Lucius over some of the Weasleys. Bill, Charlie and the twins aren't so bad. But I daresay Hermione would choose the same way as you!
Response from HannahSmith (Reviewer)
You're right about some Weasleys, it's just that I'm rather partial to Lucius/Hermione. But then a nicer Lucius, of course:his looks and charm combined with Severus' brains and better character. It seems Hermione is getting the closest possible thing in your story! lucky girl...
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
A nicer Lucius, certainly! Hopefully this one will be one, he's determined not to show his true face to me unless he can possibly help it.Lucky Hermione indeed! Or is she...
