I have completed my Master's of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and want to focus on serving the LGBTQIA community and the Alt/Kink/Poly communities in my work. I usually read this at Ash., but since they are being slow on the uptake... gads, the anxiety of new love! Fearing the ax, feeling like you were going to vomit... what lovely memories you've evoked;) Loved the ending with Neville finding the courage to speak up for his friend. Neville's cool. Great chapter! I could use a calming draught though. Hermione and Severus never seem to do things by halves; everything seems to be extreme while they are just trying to be normal.

You've got that right! I figure they're very intense individuals, so everything they feel is going to be intense. LOL I know people like that. (I used to be one of them. I've mellowed a bit in some areas now. *snerk*) AW isn't particularly slow, at least not this time. It took less than 2 days before they got it up (thanks to Metamuse and her promise, LOL). I can't wait till the move to Mage is finished. But, it's great to see you here too, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)

Oh good for Neville! I just love him and I'm always pleased to see him feeling good about himself.
And even if Hermione and Severus aren't happy about it, I'm glad that they're slowing down. I'd hate for their relationship to end before it really begins. And it seems like they're making such good strides towards being accepted when they finally do come out. Thank you for the lovely chapter.

ohh an absolutly fantastic chapter!! I felt so bad for Severus when HG kicked him out, Ifelt like being sick for the poor fellow. I am very impressed that you are writing her as a young woman rather than a 30 year old hehe a lot of fics have her at 17 yet behaving so much older. When in reality she is quite mature but still a young woman at heart, with the same insecurities and worries as the rest of us. I really enjoyed the way Snape seemed to be sulking hehe :D and the play rehersal was fabulous! the kisses amazing, and Colin god he is such a prat!!! although it doesmake a nice chance to have him as the prat and not Harry and Ron. Again you has mesmerised me with your writings and I can't wait to read your next chapter :D

The wait was definitely worth it!! This was an amazing chapter. I felt sorry for Hermione and Severus having to keep their distance, but enjoyed the fact that you made them come to their senses; a big contridiction, I know, but it adds a nice dramatic/angst flare. I love, love, love this story!! Patiently waiting for the next installment.

*sprawls on her side, stretches in kitty-fluffiness, yawns*Man, GW exhausted me! When I beta-read the latest chapter, I choked, gaped, and then laughed my head off for two, three minutes. Couldn't continue on to the rest of the story for a full five minutes, I was just that flummoxed, taken off-guard, and tickled in a morbid-pervy way.In fact, to quote myself in the email I sent back with the half-finished chapter she had posted to me at that point: "OMFG--You HUNG Harry! DUMBLEDORE HUNG Harry!!"...Needless to say I am purrrrrrring with wicked (literal and figurative) humor at THAT little plot-twist! (And purrrrrrring for Neville getting to be Hermione's knight-in-gryffindor-armor at the end of this scene.)Well done, my very Good_Witch! Holy moly! Poor Hermione. And especially poor Severus! I just feel so bad for what they're both going thru, I just want to hug them both. And that damn Colin! I swear, this is all his fault, and he just keeps on digging himself in deeper, every time he opens his mouth. A detention with Filch is too good for him. I do love the fact that Dumbledore has practically ordered Hermione to french-kiss Severus for that part. Totally Squee! And thank goodness Severus was there to save Harry, or else Dumbledore might have done what Voldie-butt could never do, and kill the Boy-Who-Lived. I'd think he'd be a bit more greatful, and less mouthy about Severus, but maybe he just needs to relearn how to interact with Severus. And totally love Neville in this chapter; especially how he turned to Severus to punish Colin, instead of McGonagall. Beautiful.Okay, I've squee'd long enough, so I'll just say wonderful job, and I'm dyin' for the next chapter!

Oh man I nearly fell off my chair when I saw you'd come close to finishing this chapter in your LJ, but to see if up on the site, I squee'd like a 5 year old..
had to grab a cup of tea(no lemon) and got down to some uber reading, and I love love love this story, and the way it's moving...
the mood and feeling of the whole chapter had me caught from the beginning, Poor Severus I'm sure if he was any more in control he'd pull a muscle, and Colin I hate how some people just don't get it...

Well, I've just spent the last three days reading this. It sucked me in and I couldn't stop.
I do have a few minor quibbles, though: you might want to find some new ways to indicate arousal. I can't tell you how many times you over-used the idea of "moisture pooling in her knickers." Pool and knickers were both used Every. Single. Time. It got very old and eye-rolling after a while. My husband started making jokes about poor Snape having to slosh around in the sticky puddles of Hermione's arousal and all. :)
The other thing is, they have already gone way, way, WAY too far for there to be any honour left in refraining from intercourse. I know you want to show their deepening relationship, but it would have been nicer to have them behave with just a tad more self-control... as befitting adults, rather than teenyboppers. Intelligent adults who were *acting* like intelligent adults would never behave like these two are. These two are behaving very much like teenagers. (And I'm fairly close to Snape's age, so I'm in a position to know.)
I have enjoyed all the Phantom stuff you've been able to bring in, though, and your casting was "in a word, ideal!" I also really like the idea of Snape's being such a phenomenal actor -- once he sets his mind to the idea. He would really surprise everyone, wouldn't he? And of course, to him that's the whole point. He likes disconcerting folks. :)
I look forward to your next instalment; just, please, no pools in the knickers, I beg you! :)

Re: acting like intelligent adults-- you've hit upon what I wanted to get across. They ARE acting like teenagers. Since they are both so inexperienced (as I've chosen to write, LOL), they are making the same mistakes and falling afoul of the same pitfalls that young lovers do. It's part of the whole "growing has nothing to do with age" thing. I see this as the opportunity for Snape to have a chance to slog through the usual "growing up" and "first serious relationship" angst that most people experience in their teens, but has eluded him until this late date. As far as refraining from intercourse, at this point, it's simply a matter of Snape keeping his word. Like he pointed out in this latest chapter, it's not so much about the doing or not of the act, but the breaking of his vow. We're going to be getting into the next rehearsal in the coming chapter, so more Phantom stuff to come! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
A really long chapter! Thank you!I think that sometimes you have to cruel to be kind, if you know what I mean. Colin neede to learn that a no is a no, and that you can't force someone to feel something they don't. It's a hard lesson, but it's a important one. But I do feel sorry for Hermione who had do it like that, and for both her and Severus for having this to deal with. They have a lot to deal with already.Very good chapter! I really love this story

I knew the moment he heard that she didn't want to be disturbed that some "Hermione isn't well, oh she needs me to cheer her up" action would follow. Hopefully the Obliviate stays in place and he won't remember the moment he sees the two of them kissing on stage. (Btw, I so wait for that moment *sighing*.)
