*NOW COMPLETE* How in the world does Hogwarts come to be doing a performance of The Phantom of the Opera? And just why is Snape so pissed about it?

I have completed my Master's of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and want to focus on serving the LGBTQIA community and the Alt/Kink/Poly communities in my work. I used to be a poker tournament director and floorperson at the world famous Binion's Gambling Hall in downtown Las Vegas. Before that, I was high school Spanish and Theatre teacher. I am happily married and (thankfully) have NO kids. I have an original short story published here: http://www.elm-books.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=R01%2DChristmasBadGirls under my penname, Jess Alynn. Thanks for taking a chance and reading my stories! :)
Oh, and check out the "trailer" for Phantom of Hogwarts that xtahsee made for me on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k63yCE9sslY
Reviews for Phantom of Hogwarts
Y'know, I might just take Sev's advice... god knows I need an early night! Thanks for another excellent batch of chapters to brighten my evening. Well, maybe brighten is the wrong word... but there is something deeply cathartic about the suffering of others. Angst, glorious angst...
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
There is something seriously wrong with me. I read "Angst, glorious angst" and heard "Cheese, glorious cheese" in my head (from the cheese commercials years ago). *facepalm* Sorry. *snerk* I'm glad you're still enjoying it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
*sniffle*

Sorry for the delay, but RL has kidnapped me hard core. I'm over 5400 words into the next chapter, and I'm planning to have some time to write tomorrow. *crosses fingers* I am glad you've enjoyed it though! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Tres cool! LOL Thanks for the heads up! I dig it... ;)
Ahhh... thank you for another delightful evening! I am really loving this fic. The twists and turns it has taken, and the way you have woven your tale into the narrative of Phantom (I noticed Colin's timing was decidedly 'unfortunate'.) I marvel at the effort you've put into this and applaud your success.
Good lemons too. ;)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
ROFLMAO Are those lemons clapping there? *wicked grin* I have spent over 3 years so far on this epic monster, and still going (I just don't have as much time to write anymore). Thanks so much for the support! :)
Whoa! This thing just gets better and better... I just want to keep reading, but if I don't get dinner on soon, my daughter might just start gnawing on the sofa. I can't wait til she's in bed! Sod the housework, as soon as her head hits the pillow I'm back here! This is one compelling fic!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
ROFL!!! Please don't neglect the children! *snerk* Um, wow... I'm so glad you're enjoying it so much. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I truly love your story. It caught my attention one after noon and I haven't been able to stop reading it since. I can not wait for the next chapter to find out what will happen between all the characters.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*blush* Aww, you're so sweet! *beams* I'm so glad you've enjoyed it so far. I hope to write more soon (I'm about 5400 words into the next chapter now). Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Damn it woman, you have a knack for keeping me up late! At least I'm not in work tomorrow! ;) I'm loving this fic! It's got everything. Nice work!
BTW... is Sev making her a personalised cameo perchance? That is so romantic! As is the chocolate mouse... for which there are several uses. *grins*
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL!!! I'm so glad you're still enjoying it. *beams* I'm not saying what he's working on, as it'll all come out soon enough. *snerk* Thanks again for reviewing! :)
Okay, I intended to read a couple of chapters of this before bed. It's now 1:45am and I have work in the morning. Curse you! Why must you combine two of my favourite works of fiction in such a beautiful and tragic way? I'm really going to bed now... I will not succumb to your evil temptations. (Well, not until later...) ;)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*claps hand over mouth to stifle giggles* Wow! I didn't mean to lure you in and ruin your sleep, honest! LOL Um, I'm sorry to keep you up so late, but I'm very glad you'e enjoying it so far. I hope you continue to do so, but manage to not deprive yoruself of needed sleep. ;) Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

This story is awesome! it took me 3 almost no sleeping days to read this!I hope you update frequently..
Response from chyara (Reviewer)
ammending review...loli started reading it over 3 days ago... relishing it. the highs and lows..how many more chapters do you think there will be?
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Unfortunately, there's no way for me to be able to guess at the number of chapters left, as I never know exactly how long it'll take to write what needs to be written to deal with a particular scene or situation. Think about it: some chapters cover a week or so, and some times it takes 5 chapters to cover one dya/night (Christmas). But, I can definitely say that we're well over half done. *cringes* At any rate, I'm so glad you've enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
excellent chapter.
thank you.
glad your back.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*blush* Awww, you're so sweet. *beams* Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
God bless Minerva. Her friendship is something Snape needs to get moving on with Hermione. I still can't help but wonder how she will react when the two comes public? This goes without saying but your story is very good, with realistic touch to the rehersals, and I'm still looking for more. Love Lucy and Edward.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
You mean he needs to apprise Hermione of his growing friendship with McG, or that he needs to start hinting at his relationship with Hermione to McG? *is confused* You're not the only one wondering about her reaction, nor are you the only one who liked Jucy and Edward. LOL Glad you're still enjoying it, and thanks for the continued support! :)
i really rather am enjoying this story. I hope you plan on updating it... I can't wait to see what happens..
Response from chyara (Reviewer)
*blush* i've been enjoying this story as well.read it in one day. didn't go to bed. read it at work...lolthe other reviewer is right...! Bluddy brilliant...lolplease update!!! as often as you can....
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Oh, I will! This monstrosity WILL be finished. *glares at Word doc with steely determination* Glad you're enjoying it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I'm so happy!!! Yay!!! Thank you for the chappy. But that last scene where he gave Minerva a "black look" - just seems a bit harsh. I mean, he's made mistakes - is this just another "Severus didn't mature emotionally enough to let this go so soon" sort of things?
Or am I reading too much into it?
Anway, I do truly love this story and am with you all the way! Your own personal cheering section!
Rah rah ree, kick 'em in the knee!!!
Rah rah ras, kick 'em in the other knee!!!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
The "black look" was his way of saying "leave it be" to McGonagall, just like AD had tried to tell her to butt out before. They're both stubborn and hurt and angry, and platitudes aren't particularly helpful when one isn't ready to hear them yet. :) As far as Snape's emotional maturity, I think it HAS been quite stunted, and he IS going through a maturing ("growing") stage finally. He's essentially getting a chance to go through what most adolescents and young adults do, even though it's almost two decades behind. The wound is too raw still, for others (McGonagall) to be poking their noses into it. Thanks for the continued support and for a great review! :)
I started reading your story three days ago as the title caught my eye, being an avid Phantom fan. I've read all the chapters that you have posted and I loved everyone of them.
I've laughed, cried, gasped and been on the edge of my seat throughout some of the chapters. Your writing is brilliant and I really can't wait for more.
There are only two words that spring to mind about your story.........................BLOODY BRILLIANT!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*blink blink, jaw dropped* Wow. Just... wow. I can't believe you made it through this monstrosity in three days! *eyes goggle* As for your exceptionally kind words--*blush* Thank you. *beams* I'm so glad you've enjoyed it so much. Thank you for reviewing! :)
I'm really enjoying Minerva and Severus' interactions! it's so heartwarming to see her reach out to him and to see him connect with her as well.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* Yeah, even though they aren't close in age, they're closer in experience, and it's an opportunity to have a peer friend. I mean, Ginny's fully willing to be his friend, and he's willing to return the sentiment, but she's even younger than Hermione, so they're nowhere near peers, you know? Glad you're still enjoying it, and thanks as always for reviewing! :)
Thank you so much for the update, I was just about to submit a message, begging you to update again, but you beat me to it:-)A great chapter, I really enjoyed it. Update again soon!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL!! Glad I could provide somewhat instant gratification (after over a month, LOL). Thanks so much for the support! :)
Great as usual, but somehow the word usage in this chapter flows better and seems more creative than in some other chapters. I sense that this was a difficult chapter to write but that you somehow were very much on your A-game with it. Much like Hogwarts' rehearsals, I think some of the "getting there" transitional chapters might have been a bit wearing but that this one was more interesting for you as an author to write, and I think it shows in the quality of it. The flow of the word usage and the plot was markedly better, and even though I've been a fan of this all through the story it just seems to have really taken a turn for the better here somehow, and I hope you know that I really mean that in a good way. I'd give this one six stars were it possible.~HR
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
I said to Lotm that Ron's comment about being bored and things getting wearing would no doubt reflect some of the readers' feelings after such a long journey so far. I do take your comments in the positive way they were intended. *hugs* This one definitely picked up the pace as far as how much time was covered, for which I was grateful, as we've already seen stuff enough that I felt I could just "gloss over things" and move on. "Progress" was an apt title, I think. Thank you so much for yet another awesome review! :)
Response from Horserider (Reviewer)
Well, I'll confess to feeling greedy about getting to the "juicy" part...that being Snape and Hermione outting their relationship and seeing what fallout ensues. But I think the buildup has been delicious and will make the juicy parts better, especially the part with her parents! I thought the scene at Spinner's End with the tenants was super and I think, though I thought Book 7 was cheesy, now that JKR has shown us how passionate Snape is (just like so many of us suspected) we now have carte blanche to show his passionate side in fanfiction, and the scene with the tenants reflects that. I've had so many scenes that I have imagined might happen yet in this story, and I'm eager to see just exactly how the story will take shape yet...wondering how and when their relationship will get leaked, and am thinking you didn't have the scene with the tenants just for show, that it's a buildup to something more. And I think the "glossing over" worked very well here because it didn't have that feel, it told us enough and then moved on. Can't wait for more!~HR
Wow! What a pleasant surprise this story has been. I stared out reading the title and thinking that I would probably give up after the first chapter but I am completely enthralled. I can't wait for the next chapter! You have manged to capture the essence of J.K. Rowling's characters so completely that it feels like a natural extension of her work. This story is sexy, funny, and heartwarming. I can't wait to read more of your work and I wish you the best of luck in your quest to publish.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*blush* Awww, you're so sweet! I know that the premise comes across as cheese-factor twelve squillion, but I have tried to make it as plausible a journey for some complex characters. It makes me all sorts of giddy that you've enjoyed it so much, and I thank you for reviewing! :)
Another wonderful chapter! Hermione is certainly having a positive effect on Severus!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Indeed. I hope that they manage to have positive effects on each other. So glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Well that was a rather melancholy chapter. As mad as I am at Dumbledore, I did feel a few pangs of sympathy for him. I loved Lucy and Edward! They were both quite delightful characters. Nice chapter.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* I'm glad folks liked Lucy and Edward, for all few pages that we saw them. I have great fun writing the "normal" folk that our couple meets in their lives. LOL The hurt goes deep in Snape, and AD is finally realizing how badly he messed up. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Yay!! Awesome new chapter! I was in a bit of a funk after reading DH because it was the last book...but updates to wonderful stories like yours reminds me that there are still so many things to look forward to. Thank you thank you, thank you! I loved seeing Severus meeting with the current tenants, especially when he takes such pleasure in speaking the words "the woman I love." How cool is that? Can't wait to read more...
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* Aww, you're so sweet! I enjoyed the chance to write that scene with the tenants, as it let me address his emotional turmoil about his past, as well as letting me address his new, hopeful view of his future. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
