COMPLETE! Hermione knows his secrets, his destiny unfulfilled. Snape sees only desolate dark. But in the tale of love and longing, Lily remembers everything.
All is not as it seems. The world of wizards is full of lies and half-truths.
Over twenty years ago, Severus Snape fell in love with Lily Evans, and he never stopped loving her. His every move, his every thought, is purely for her. And he has only one place, a room, hidden deep under the lake, where he can relax, not worry about whom he is spying on, what he should be saying and doing, where his loyalties lie. Somewhere he can reminisce about his childhood days there with Lily, to allow himself space to grieve.
That though, as with everything else, is about to change.

Meep! You have come up with some of the most frightening twists. I'm unsure how James thought he could convince Lily her sister's child was hers, but I guess with memory charms, anything is possible.

Oh, I just want to cry. It's one thing to know that it cannot be between them, but to witness their finally coming together knowing what's beneath that bandage was heartbreakingly beautiful. Lily's reaction was the only one she could have, but it's still so horribly sad.

Wow. This is definitely one of the best Snape/Lily fics I've read. (Frankly, I don't enjoy the pairing so much... sometimes it gets a bit sugary.) But I love this fic! And I ADORE the angst.

I don't want to be misleading in my recommendations. With Lily still being alive, even if there is SOME HG/SS, SS and LE will end together I think...?

I have a feeling Lily isn't dead... Rose's sacrifice protected her, didn't it? Oh you clever thing, now I understand the need for twins in your story. So, this is going to be snily forever now. I don't know how I feel about that, your listing HG in characters was a bit misleading! Still, I am in awe of your talent at creating such a believable way for Lily and Snape to be together, if that is indeed where this is leading ;-)I'm a die-hard fan of HG/SS so this might be goodbye. But I really liked your story, it's the angst I like about Lily, but in truth I'm not crazy about the pairing.The suspense in your story was perfect. I bit my nails, gasped and nearly had a heart attack when I learned Rose was with James. You get a 5!
