I'd just been wondering about the next update of this story; what's Hermione hiding?  Does she know about Lily?  There's so much time that's passed; anything could have happened!

Oh.  See, I'm all nervous and concerned.  Whose idea was it to leave Hermione surrounded by all that testosterone, anyway?!  (JKR's, obviously.)

I think I've aww'd over every chapter so far.  This is so cute!

Aww.  I'm loving this look into Lily's childhood.  Poor Lily.  She had a rough couple of weeks

You torture your readers with nonstop angst.  I adore you.  =)  The Hermione relationship has me a bit confused right now.  It seems too much about the sex.  But hey, just my opinion.

Great chapter! It almost makes me feel sorry for Hermione, though. It's like he wants to love her but can't because he can't let Lily go, and she doesn't have a clue. It saddens me that when he's with her, half the time he wishes she was someone else, but I can see why it's hard for him to let Lily go... 

And poor Lily! Watching it all from afar, knowing there are far greater things going on than the status of her heart.

Or perhaps Lily and Hermione will discover a love that dare not speak its name, dump Severus altogether and start up a magical asbestos removal company that specialises in the removal of WWII Anderson shelters.

I wonder what Severus' reaction will be when he discovers Lily has been alive all these years and in hiding. Something tells me it wont go down too well with him!

I can't help but feel conflicted about Lily. I feel sorry for her for the way her life turned out, but also not sorry, because it was her decisions that took her life in that direction.

Cant wait to see how this situation resolves itself.

Man - this is such a triangle - I feel if Severus were to have the choice right this second between Lily and Hermione that he would dump Hermione. Lily had her time and gave it up with him - I just don't think she should have him again.

The Severus and Hermione love scene was good ...It worries me that Severus might dump Hermione if he finds out that Lily is alive but I hope not - Hermione is a better choice for him - they have a cleaner history together and I just so hope for them in the end

I had forgot to review this chapter - it was interesting - the hex that Severus's mom put on him (just a complication but a great throw in to stir things up a bit) - I loved how you threw in DH story and then made more - you opened up their world more - conversations unknown that so easily could have happened - good writing

Great chapter - you really portrait the misery that Severus went through with James and Sirus and why as an adult that he hated them so much. Loved the scenes

I loved this chapter - Rose is always up to no good - I loved how Petuna was fixed by Mrs Snape. It was a great first kiss between Severus and Lily but he took her giggles the wrong way and now is hiding from her - poor Severus

I reread the chapter so that I would not miss anything... I had forgotten how evil Rose had acted as soon as she got to school. Lily's first days were so tragic - this is really good work

Read it but forgot to review it - so now I play catch up... I loved how you incorporated the scene from DH in the first part and then added Rose in as well. It was good.

I like the relationship with Hermione, but the whole Lily thing is a bit mystifying. 

I don't like Severus' pining for Lily while with Hermione, but as shown in DH, she's quite embedded in his psyche. I can't wait for him to find out about her existence, and be confronted with a choice between the two women.

oh dear. why do I feel like this is going to end so badly? oh well. I think that Hermione could kick Lily's ass any day, so maybe it'll be fun.

also, on a side note, I am wondering whether Snape will realize once Lily shows up that she is not the idealized person he's obsessed over for years.

Hmm, first of all thank you for the update, it was brilliantly written as usual:-) Seccond, I honestly whish Severus could get over his obsession of Lily, I know he won't do so, not yet anyway, but I hate the thougth of him hurting the one truly good thing that ever happen to him for the sake of a memory of something that never was. Yes, this Lily got betrayed by James Potter and regret her decission of leaving Severus for James, but that doesn't change the fact that she did just that. She refused to forgive Severus when he begged her forgiveness and she went to the one she knew had been his worst enemy for all the years at school. "My" Severus deserves someone who loves him unconditionally, who will stand by him no matter what, and that person is Hermione, not Lily!!!! I will hate Severus if he betrays Hermione, if he does, he sure deserves living with the knowlegde that he did to Hermione what Lily once did to him; the utmost betrayal of trust. I don't care if Lily loves him, she had her chance and blew it, and when she discovered what a bad choice she had done, she wanted him back. I know that at some level I should feel sorry for her, but I am unable to do so when Lily's happiness means Severus betrayal of Hermione. I don't know what a happy ending will be for you, but I whish you would tell if your final pairing would be Severus/Lily or Severus/Hermione. I must admit that if this is supposed to be a Severus/Lily story were they live happily ever after, I will stop reading as that would have almost as little attraction to me as a Hermione/Ron story (and I never read those, based on a terrible allergy to said pairing:-)). Don't get me wrong, your story is brilliantly written, that is the one reason I continue to read even if I am nor sure what pairing would make a happy ending in your mind. I just don't think I would like a simpering Severus who ditch Hermione like yesterdays garbage when Lily shows up again. I want him to grow up I guess, letting the past be the past, aknowlegde that  yes, he did love Lily one time, but life has gone on and as an adult his love belongs to Hermione. Update again soon,

Well done on an excellent story so far. I do take issue with the word fuck. It's so dirty. Wicked dirty. Raunchy. Rude dirty. Like paper plates smeared with BBQ sauce and the remains of last night's burger.

I had a fic with a chapter fourteen once. Plaugerist! LOL!

The torment is terrible. It seems whenever Severus has made his mind up that he can put the past behind him something comes up to bring it all up again. Why doesn't he just ask Hermione not to call him Sev? And what is the deal with Lily? What was Dumbledore's plan for her as it appears even she does not know what to do with herself? The million dollar/pound question is if Lily shows herself to Severus will he drop Hermione like a stone?

Okay, I wish I knew who you are, becasue this is down-right scary. There was a line in your chapter that Severus says to himself that I wrote three weeks ago for a fic I'm not going to post for another couple of months!

So, to whom it may concern, I'm finishing a fic, actually it's finished, just being beta'd. and I got the idea from the song "Hurt" that Johnny Cash sang before he died, that he got from Nine Inch Nails. So I hope you know that if you read it, I'm not stealing from you. Anf three people have already read it. I can even send it to you through someone else, because I do take plagarism seriously.

OKAY! Now to the matter at hand! This, children, is the reason we don't have SEX with people when we're not over hte last person we had sex with. And we have a very stupid Hermione or a very forgiving one and I don't know yet which one she is, but. at any rate, Severus nearly screwed the pooch on that one. That was a good save with the Leave instead of Lily.

I've a sneaky suspicion this is all going to end up in tears before we see some happy! Still great work!

Ah, Severus. After reading his obession with these two the song "two ladies" from cabaret comes into my head lol.

but i love that this story is treating serously the obession he had with Lily, and making him come to terms with that along with his budding love for hermione.   Most stories gloss over it or make it tragic, but rather shallow. Can't wait for the next chapter!!

Severus needs to let go of Lily. He has Hermione, standing there willingly, and yet it is only Lily he can think of. He isn't being fair to Hermione... stringing her along the way Lily did for Severus.
