Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

I hope Hermione hexes Ron to Bits when she finds Out! He deserves it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL Yeah he does. Thank you for the review.
I was wondering how angry Snape was going to be and how long it would take him to realize just how lucky he is to be bonded with Hermione. I guess I'll have to wait and see, I don't think he is quite over thr shock.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well... yeah he is a bit put out, isn't he? lol sorry, couln't help myself there. Yeah, he's angry, and unfortunately he's not gonna be nice about it at first. Please keep in mind - this is a psychological piece, and my goal is to have these two in a normal healthy relationship. It's not going to be easy getting these two there, is it? Thank you very much for the review. Happy reading.
I have a feeling, Ron is not going to let this go easily.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope. He's not. Thank you for reading my story and thank you for the review.
I am so in love with this story, and I can't wait to read more.

Thank you very much. Oh there's more, loads more. Thank you for the review. Hugs
I am completely in awe!!! This story is one of the best stories I have read. The characters are sooo good. The way you make them truely come to life in my mind. They are perfect!! And the plot is sooo good, too! I am literally holding my breath here. I have been reading this story non stop since I found it. And I can't wait to read more. Thank you soo much for sharing your talent!!!

Tiz, I'm warm-fuzzy struck! Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad that you like my story so much and that my characterizations are spot on to you. I'm really trying to keep them 'real' and yet grow in - well, into a healthy normal relationship. More is coming. if you bookmark it you'll get a email when I update. Thank you for giving my story a try and your encouraging words.
Fab story! So many layers and subplots to this make such a wonderful read.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

You can count on it - all the way to it's conclusion. Thank you for the review.
I like this setup very much, looking forward to the story
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. i hop eyou enjoy the rest of the story. Just FYI - this is a psychological piece,a nd things don't go smoothly considering jsut who I have to work with. but the goal is to make these two have a normal healthy relationship. Wish me luck!
oooh that Rita skeeter! great story, I will continue!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, well, she is a delightful pill, isn't she? I love her! well as an antagonist.Thank you very much -so will I, until I finally get these two into a normal healthy relatioship! So help me! Thank you for the review.
Yeay! Another chapter from Bea!I'm glad things finally came to a head with these nasty people trying to poison the old man. I hope they get what's coming to them, and I'm sure they will if Severus has any say in the matter. And he has to be so proud of his brave wife! I wanted to smack him earlier when he didn't even thank her for solving the delema about who was responsible. When will that man stop being so stubborn?Hopefully never, since he wouldn't be the Severus we all love if he was nice and easy to get along with... ;)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are most welcome, Clay. Oh you’ll see what happens to them in the next chapter. There is going to be an inquiry and you may be surprised to see who the one in charge is. (Yep, someone grows up a bit – and about time too!) I think he was just perturbed that Ginny was let in on the secret, but as for his reaction to Hermione – coming up in the next chapter (or two) as well. Yes, he’s right stubborn and obstinate and at times a bit surly, but he is coming around a bit. But you’re right, he should have thanked her. Stubborn git. lol Thank you very much for sticking with me and for the review. ~hugs~
Yea another chapter. This was great and full of action.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Yep, and all resolved well... possibly. Thank you for the review. Happy reading!
very good! I think I must have forgotten to make an update bookmark so it's been ages since I read this story. I'm glad I found it again!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
So am I. Thank you for coming back and sticking with me on this one. ~Hugs~
Lots of action in that chapter! Love the way Ginny called Snape by his first name. :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, I like doing action scenes. lol And yes, Ginny sure showed gumption standing up to Severus. Thank you for the review and for sticking with me on this one. ~hugs~
EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! She did it! She found the connections! Severus showed the info to Kingsley and the gang, Pepper got Hermione, Hermione held down the fort while Ginny fetched the gang (even Ron and Harry), and Severus listened to Ginny without getting angry -- everything was PERFECT. I am so excited and happy! At last... THANK YOU!!! Now if Severus can hold out until Hermione stops being absorbed in her exam revision.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, sometimes guys just won’t read the gossip columns! Besides, this type of sleuthing really is a woman’s thing. lol Yep, funny how things can go so well when Severus keeps his temper. Oh he’ll – er – won’t. lol He’ll take a bit more affirmative action. But you have that to look forward to. Thank you for sticking with me on this one and for the review. Happy reading!
I'm glad Ginny was at least brave enough to tell Severus what for.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, she has spunk that girl. But then she has six older brothers. One would think she learned to stand up for herself. lol Thank you for the review.
Oh, awesome so far. Please, please update again soon.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh yes, I am working on it diligently! Thank you for the encouragement, and I hope to get it cleaned up for posting really soon!
This is really very good. I love the subplots. That's always the part I have the worst part writing!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Sometimes the subplots are the best way to move two people forward in a relationship, especially ones as difficult to get into a relationship as these two. I appreciate the compliment. Thank you for the review.
Either Narcissa needs to step in and have a woman-to-woman with Hermione, or someone needs to tell Severus to BE NICE. (Or both...)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I couldn't agree more! Oh, and someone will, a few someones actually... but I don't want to give too much away. Thank you so much for reading and for the review.
Well by gods, it's about time he finally tried to be NICE to her. I mean, I know "nice" isn't in his vocabulary but he's obviously perfectly capable of being *civilized*, which he certainly hasn't been to Hermione!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope, well up till now he certainly hasn't been, has he. But then he had he warped reasons for his actions, which will come back to haunt him later. Thank you for reading and for the review.
I'll tell you why this is so bloody difficult you great prat; you're treating her like pond scum and she doesn't appreciate being treated as a doormat. And when Severus goes back to Spinner's End, he's going to have one hell of a surprise!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL You tell him! Oh just wait til later, you'll be screaming at her next... Ugh, its so hard trying to make these two diversely emotionally (him dysfunctional - her inexperienced and trusting/naive, young) people to have a normal healthy relationship when they are both so difficult to get to co-operate with me! But read on, I am getting somewhere and making some progress... I hope. lol Oh yes, they will both be surprised. lol Happy holidays and thank you for the review. I'll pass along your message to my Severus muse.
OMG! I hope Hermione will be all right after her Potions have had a chance to heal her. Holding a shield charm against the Bedydrian Curse is a dangerous undertaking. I think Mr Blume will be very sorry when Severus finds him and gives him three months of Detentions with his Potions master. *shakes head*I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the next chapter. I'm loving this story to pieces!Beth

I found a riddle similar to the one you wrote in this chapter in Presents and Promises by Archangel BloodravenYou can find it hear at this link.http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/raincoat/1507/misc/promises.htm*Hugs you*Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Trying to break the curse is really dangerous, that's why someone has to cast the shield. Holding the shield is only dangerous if your protecting Hermione and you fail - then yes, Severus is a huge threat. lol Thank you so much for the review. I'm thrilled that you love this story and I hope you like what comes. Happy Holidays, Beth. ps I haven't read the story you gave me the link to, the riddle I think came from my search when I was writing Murder, Magic, Mayhem, and Madness, which isn't posted on this site. (SH) but I can't remember where I found it. But thanks for the link.
This chapter is chocked full of Princes and Osgoods and all kinds of tangled connections! I had to read this several times so I could make a chart. I think I'll need it in the coming chapters, otherwise I'm sure I'd get lost in all the family relationships.I'm still very interested in how Miss Prisswell fits into this mystery and wondering if she knows that she is being used as an accomplice to attempted. The name you chose for the textile company Talfryn founded with Jonathan Tweedle is great. Pepperell makes great linens... though they aren't magical. How did Talfryn come to go into business with a Muggle? Like Hermione, I want to know more about Severus' great-grandfather.A real nifty chapter you've got here.Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I have the chart if you want to see it, but really, the only significance is why these wizards and Miss Priswell want to kill Talfryn. It's not that integral to the overall story. What is, is what Hermione does in chapter 38. (They have been trying to kill Talfryn since Sept, and he's not dying....and they are impatient...) Oh you'll see how she fits in... Talfryn came into business with a Muggle-born, (Jonathan Tweedle went to Hogwarts in Talfryn's year), and they produced magical textiles. I wanted to use a real company name and have their company be an offshoot of that company. Oh you'll learn more about Talfryn! Thank you very much, Beth, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. Hugs and as always, thank you for your review.
Thank you for the update! They're well worth the wait, but I have to ask - more before Christmas?? I love all the tangents, subplots and machinations to this story and how they all work to bring Hermione and Severus together and get to know more about Severus. It's funny how much we're finding about Severus's family, yet hardly anything more has been revealed about Hermione's. (Before you ask - no, I'm not complaining.) He is the more complex of the two and it's only fitting that he would have an equally complex family (conundrum) to present her with. She still harbours resentment for his earlier treatment of him and is still somewhat afraid to let him in fully. I'm glad that Ginny and the other girls have brought this to her attention. If it would be anyone else she would've just dismissed them. I think, perhaps this accident with the Rune translation will finally help bring them closer together, as she'll see he cares even deeper for her than he sometimes lets on.Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

, I have two things in queue. Dunno when they will post, but they are submitted. Well, it's good to learn about Severus' family, and you will learn more about Hermione's family in a bit... later. Until it's safe, Mr and Mrs Granger will remain in Aus, where it's safe for them. But Hermione will tell more about her family to ___. And you'll see some more about Severus'. Yes, but in time this too will ... c'mon, you know me, he will tell her - ---- --- soon and she willrealize that he ----- her and they will have --- again! Would I let you down? Oh, you'll love how he makes her understand his feelings - I so giggled while typing it, I hope you smile while reading it. Narcissa's ------ really helps! and yes, the girls, especially Alestra and Ginny are being pushy, in a good way. teehehehe As soon as I can I'll update this story too. Hugs, and thank you for the review.
Oh, goody! Christmas has come early this year! Just had to say thank you before digging into the treat.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL Well, hang on, if all goes well, I have more to follow and there will be enough lemons to make lemonade soon... real soon. Next chapter - What Severus will do with Hermione's information then the chapter after that, he's going to take action and win his witch... And then if you first don't succeed, well, succeed enough to get what you want...Push harder. lol It certainly helps that he knows the castle well. teehehehe
Just want to say thanks for the Christmas gift of this chapter. Always enjoy an update to one of your stories. And this one is getting more interesting as it goes along. Really looking forward to the 'family' dynamics (aliases, indeed) and Hermione's own revelation to her place in Severus' life. Hopefully, that brilliant mind of hers will straighten herself out soon. Thanks again for the chapter. Merry Christmas
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are very welcome. I hope to have another one up soon, it's with my beta now.... I'm flattered that you enjoy my stories, I enjoy sharing them with you. Oh, well, I think Severus will be a bit more 'direct' in regards to his reaction, but hen he was a Death Eater and all. lol What I hope you find fun is Hermione's reaction in the next chapter. Actually, it's quite telling...And after that you'll see Ron in action (get your mind out of the gutter eww )Then I can finally say that Severus has had enough - he's going to take charge and follow some advice and ... well, lemons will be coming up in a few... teehehehe Please keep in mind that she is 18 and he's nearly 40! She's putting school first, marriage second... and things will change over the holidays - that's my plan! But what happens... Did you really think I'd spoil all the surprises?
Response from Sharn (Reviewer)
Oh, you haven't spoiled any surprises for me. You've given some very welcome hints of what is to come. This makes the anticipation even better. This must be your stocking stuffer. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
