Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan
Reviews for The Plight-Trothed Bride
“Maybe Severus will take Hermione on another date,” Reginald said, smirking as Hermione left to go and try to find Severus.Ha! That made me laugh.I loved the part where Severus gets in touch with his emotions. I hope it isn't the last time he is able to be so open. Maybe Hermione will get to see more of that side of him. Sensitivity certainly couldn't hurt his case with her.Loved the new phoenix, Aideen. And then the end ... well, bedroom time with these two is always satisfying. They seem to be in a pretty good place in their relationship at the moment. I hope it lasts.

I'm glad that you liked that bit. Yep, they are in a much better place in the realtionship than where they had been. Opening up isn't really Severus, but he tries. She does need to 'mature up' a bit, thoug for there to be balance. I'm delighted that you like Aideen. There are a few rough patches that come up, but there is also a chance for me to hav them actually 'talk' it out than jump to assumptions nad get all piuty about it. and Krum will be on cause. Ron another, then there is Dragen! He's a nasty - you'll see.Thank you for reading and for the review.
Wow, one ball done now... How many to go?Love the baby and her name! Very fitting and Hermione's acceptance afterward.Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

The detail you've written into this chapter boggles my mind. The amount and quality of your preparation knows no bounds. I loved the layered writing, the neurotic Muldoon, and the absolute brilliance of the birth of a Phoenix. I love everything about this chapter. Especially the lemons.I hope the new chapter posts soon!!! Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I love adding in all the tidbits and I'm delighted that you enjoy them too. Looking up phoenix lore and writing Aideen's birth was fun, especially making Severus dig deep inside himself. The next chapter is in queue. Thank you for reading and for the review.
I had a feeling that Ginny and Hermione would have to return to the matter of visiting Spinners End. They are going to get in so much trouble. *grins*The revealing spell went very well- until Hermione got hit with the backlash. For a minute I thought she was going to be blind. And then Severus was battered on his mission with the Aurors to put three more Death Eaters behind bars. You know, it occurs to me that every time Severus or Hermione gets injured, they each take very good care of the other, and then they have mind blowing sex. (If one or the other of them has to get hurt, it's not a bad risk/reward program.)And here is our dear Maggie as attentive as ever to her solemn duties: "Six months, three weeks, and six days and still the couple refuse to acknowledge the Bonding!" But who's counting? LOL!Hermione's discovery about blood being able to reveal the missing words in the Médousa Potion was bloody brilliant. I wonder what Severus, Reginald, and Ginny will say when she tells them what she discovered... except now Severus already knows. It made me a little sad, though, that he had thought she might have had a liaison. He's has to work on his self-esteem. Thanks for a great chapter!!!Beth

Ginny is just not going to let that one go. She wants to see his house. Yes, that Maldoun is a nurotic nut. nah, I'm not going to blind her, but I came close. Yep, Severus, he's a fighter that one. A protector and a fighter. I'm glad that you appreicate the closeness of taking care of each other does for them. It helps strenghten their respect for the other as well. the little things. Oh gads, Maggie. She is the thorn that won't go away (yet) You'll find out their reaction soon enough. Thank you for reading and for the lovely review.
Oh my. There are a good many things about the Wizarding world that Hermione is not familiar with. I'm glad that her friends were able to explain to her all the nuances of sponsorship and the proper way to dress for the Winter season. She is learning how to argue negotiate with Severus. Their decisions about (1)where to spend the holidays and (2) her and Ginny using his own copy of Advance Potions Making to brew their Potions for Professor Reynolds lead to a real breakthrough. She knows how much he respects her and how precious she is to him, and he knows that she wants him to be properly recognized for his brilliant work in Potions. There is a tonne of good stuff going on... and I'm glad that Hermione and Ginny didn't push their luck trying to sneak out of the castle. (Although I'm sure they'll get around to it sooner or later. LOL!)I'm really looking forward to the two of them visiting with Mr. Prince. I really like the old gentleman.Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Like any person who leaves the life they know for one they discover on the way, she relys on books and her friends for answers. It's good that the girls she's gotten to know knew what was going on. I've learned quite a bit researching and reading about the old customs of 'coming out' and elite formal parties. Yep, well, it's the best communication they've had yet, even if they were yelling at each other. Why would Seerus sulk, he actually won. Well, he won to major victories in his opinion, even if he has t spend two days with Harry Potter. She's learning still how precious she is to him, but he's still fighting me on admitting he respects her. There is a imbalance of power in this relationship, but it's beginning to work out a bit. I really liked typing early supper at Talfryn's. I hope you enjoy it as well. Thank you, Beth, for the review. I hope you have a great weekend!
This chapter has some sweet lovin' in it., Bea Combined with the amazing charms, spells, and pure magic that is your own creation, I am a very happy fangirl. The progress that Severus and Hermione have made is what I've been hoping for... it's obvious that they adore each other. He even got over their "argument" without pouting for a month. Well done.Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, Beth. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. Yes, there is progress, but I'm still working on the relationship and their communications skills, well, getting them to communicate better. lol Thank you for reading and for the review.
Thank you for updating!Interesting twists this chapter. It was a nice break to see Severus caring for Hermione. Hopefully she'll see this for more emotional investment in their relationship on his part, rather than anything else. It's moments like this that are helping to make her reassess her decision to live apart.Hermione is becoming the key to finding out the recipe. Nice tidbit on the blood revealing the new ingredients. Now, which bird will you make the Aquila (tears)? (Eagle, vulture, falcon or will you make it phoenix?) I'm intrigued to find out!Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are most welcome! I'm glad that you enjoyed the TLC on Severus' part. If his tender caring dose not consciously, then it will subconsciously, but it will have lingering effects. lol
Yes, she is, but surprisingly, it’s Ginny who will prove a huge help as well. lol So, which bird do you think it is? You’ll find out my choice soon enough. Thank you for reading and for the review.
Response from Jinxie (Reviewer)
Lasting effects in the physical or emotional department? Hmm, more inclined to say eagle, but guess I'll have to wait and see.
Aww....they're making such great progress. The scene in his office where they had a minor spat but then talked out the issues was great. Keep up the amazing work. Can't wait for more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL yes, they finally are. At least they are talking to each other, even if their communication skills need work. lol I'm delighted that you are enjoying this story. Thank you ofr reading and for the review.
Very wonderful chapter. I like the romance building between Severus and Hermione. Can't wait to see what happens next! Keep up the great work!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I'm glad your enjoying it. Thank you for reading and for the review. Next chapter's in queue.
Lovely update.I enjoyed Hermione's Slytherin tactics used to ensure she and Ginny are allowed to work on the potion. It's nice to see Severus trying to protect her in a somewhat rational way instead of acting like a caveman and locking her up in order to prevent her from taking part. Now, what will Harry think of Ginny taking part?Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much.Well, she this is learing something not taught in classes and hwo esle was she to get what she wants? Win win for her. Nope, but yes he is protective. lol Harry may never find out the risks, Ginny certainly isn't about to tell him until after the facts. lol I'm glad you liked the chapter. Thank you for the review.
How exciting! Poor Hermione and Severus, they're both pulling against and toward each other at the wrong times. This is a very enjoyable story, I like the depth of emotion and the fun twists to the plot line. Thank you for sharing, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Yes, you're exaclty right, they are. I'm so glad that you are enjoying my story. Thank you so very much for the review.
Shame on me for waiting so long to check for updates!I do have to admit to a little eye-rolling with this chapter because Snape is seeming a little Don Juan-ish. But I do understand the situation--he's actually trying to follow some of Narcissa's good advice to try to win over Hermione rather than force her to stay in the relationship or, more likely, bitterly give up and leave her to Weasel--er, Weasley. He's actually trying to give life a chance as opposed to giving the wizard world the middle finger and heading into seclusion. And, hell, yeah, I'd give Juan!Snape a chance!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You're the first person to compare him to Don Juan. I like that, but that was the farthest thing form my mind while writting this (and the next one). Yes, I had him take Narcissa's advice so he could get what he wants, and yet had him do it in as Snape'ish way as I could. He knows he's Bonded for life, and she does respond to him physically and like most guys wants sex. So you'll have one more eyerolling chapter, I'm afraid to say. Thank you for reading and for the review. btw: I remember Columbo, I used to watch him all the time and loved his dective style. Hugs, bea
Response from snapesbeatrice (Reviewer)
Be assured, I did/do like the chapter and understand Snape's behavior. He's stretching himself and probably a little bit disgusted that he has to "stoop so low" to get what he surely believes is his right, but he's too much of a gentleman to insist upon. (Unlike his fellow Death Eaters' approach would be.) There's an undertone that he feels a bit silly about it, making himself push his limits to quite uncomfortably expose himself. I mean, who else would feel practically offended to address his former students by their first names? Poor baby, ha ha. If Hermione wants to toss him over, send him my way. ~grins~
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
If she does, I'll let him know you're available. Hugs
Very sexy kiss, I love it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you.
Oh boy, this was a really exciting chapter! I love how Snape is still snarky... LOL. Can't wait for more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Yep, I love a snarky Snape too. Thank you for the review.
These two are having such a rough time, I hope they work things out soon. They will be great together once they do.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, well, first dates can be awkward, especially if you're not used to actually goin gout on a real date. lol Yes, if and when I can get them together, it will be wonderful. But this story is about the 'getting there' not a rush in and everythings happy. Hope you enjoy the ride. Thank you for the review.
I always enjoy a chapter with Luna in it, she always brings a totally different point of view to every discussion.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, she's a gem of a character. Thank you for the review.
It sounds like a wonderful birthday, except for the death eater attack.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh yes, one I'd love to have been on. I considered everything Dudley would have gotten to do - which Harry would have been dumped off at Mrs Figg instead of being allowed to go - and made it a full weekend. lol I think Harry deserved it. Thank you for the review. Happy reading!
I hope they both try to work this all out. They need to be together.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well, I'm trying to get them to... You know how stubborn they both are. lol Thank you for the review.
I hope Hermione doesn't throw in the towel too soon.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nah, then I wouldn't have a story to tell. lol Thank you for the review. Happy reading.
So glad Severus is free, can't wait for them to realize they can't live without each other.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, he's free. and in shock. lol You'll have a bit of a wait for the 'realization' to hit them I'm afraid. Hope you like the sychological journey to get these two to that point though. Thank you for the review. Happy reading.
Great chapter, so happy about the up coming wedding, I'm sure they will be very happy together.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Yes, the wedding is fun and Luna and Neville are well suited in my book. lol Thank you for the review.
Rita Skeeter is one of the characters that I love to hate. I hope her damn book doesn't cause Severus and Hermione any additional trouble.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Me too! I love to hate her as well. Thank you very much for the review.
Oh, I can't wait for them to release Severus from Azkaban so that he and Hermione can get busy working things out.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL Oh, it will happen. Thank you for the review.
I love the fact that Hermione didn't back down, even when he got angry.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. yeah, it was about time she did. lol Thank you for the review.
