Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Thank you.
I love love love your Lucius. The way you write his dialogue gives me the most entertaining mental pictures! "Not even sea conchtroths in a moat, surrounding flaming dragons, protecting thorn brambles on impossibly impassable cliffs, to climb a tower... Anywho, another great chapter, and i personally think your Snape is about as in character and redeemable as possible in this story. Snape has to make Hermione weep at some point because he's a snarky bastard. And that's why we love him!

Thank you and I couldn’t have explained myself and my reasons better. Thank you again.
Very much alive, indeed! Sounds like Hermione better eat lots of protien for energy! I love it when Severus calls Hermione 'witch' in stories. Another beautiful chapter!

Thank you very much. I appreciate the support.
Severus is gaining control of the situation...I wonder where he will claim her tomorrow? This is exciting and a pleasure to read.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Yes, he’s in control or at least trying to keep what he can in control. I’m glad you like this story. I hope I don’t disappoint as we go along…
At first I'm confused. I mean, we saw Snape in the orchard last night (I mean, last chapter) and he seems, well, I dunno... happy? to see Hermione. Well, maybe not happy, but he wanted her there and then. Could it be possible that he acted this way now after he found out that she had casted the charm? I mean, it came to him that there is a possibility that someone trapped them in a curse that causes them to have those dreams. But now that he knew it was her doing after all, he's angry at her. Maybe if it wasn't Hermione's doing, he would be more tolerable to her, would he?
So, they have to have sex every night, eh? Literally, every night. He's so confusing. At first, he's looking for a way to break the curse, then he take Lucius' invitation to use his east wing. Then enjoyed himself -- up to watch his penis moved in and out of her. Then refuse to return her the pleasure. Then leave her just like that, to have a drink! Argh! It seems to me that he wants her, oh, yes he does but he was simply pissed having entrap (in other words, forced) to be binded to her.
I wonder how the wizarding community is going to act now that they know Snape is alive. (Yes, he's alive! Surprise, surprise... Give the man a break, will ya? Leave him alone!! Well, maybe not alone -- alone. Alone with Hermione... heh heh heh)
Oh, and Lucius understanding on the matter was awkward though. Hehe, I can't see him being all understanding that way, but when you said he was married to Cissy because of the charm, so well, okay... I buy it this time.
Would we get to see them in threesome though? ;) LOL, just kidding! Keep on writing!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Ok let me clarify for you. In the dreams they were under the influence of the spell, just as they were the first night he came to her. The magic of the spell was enticing him, pulling him to her and luring him to her: enchanted, seduced, entrapped, allured, captivated, and beguiled. He was still under the effects of the spell up until when he came in her. Their mutual orgasms sealed the magic bond. That’s why he wanted her then and there, now and nothing was going to stop him kind of way. But if you read his dialogue, he was not all that happy about it at first – but what’s done is done, now deal with it. The next night is just that, the next night. Yes, he wants her, but he’s not happy about being trapped. Men do like having sex and she’s his now to f**k whenever he wants to. I know that’s not a happy place to begin the relationship, but the dreams will have an influence in their relationship down the line. Also, keep in mind that he feels ensnared, trapped and once again under someone’s control – Hermione’s. so no he’s going to keep the upper hand in this. You will see in the upcoming chapter how the wizarding community feels about this. And how the Ministry reacts a bit more. As for Lucius, he’s a pureblood and knows about Plight and Betrothal Charms and is somewhat sympathetic to Severus for being trapped by one. He doesn’t know who the witch is but he’s just being a supportive friend. You’ll see a bit more Slytherin Lucius before long – knowing how to use the situation for his ends. But I don’t want to say too much here. Thank you for the review. I hope I helped you understand things some.
Response from zyra (Reviewer)
So his idea of keeping an upper hand is by not giving Hermione any idea that they're romatically bonded. Just bonded. When Svape was having those dreams, and they were having sex, Hermione was at the other receiving end of those dreams, right? I mean, they're having same dreams. Poor Hermione having to face the reality Snape versus the dream Snape. So, it's the fact that he's under someone's control even after the war is over that's really got to him. Hmm, yeah, that makes it clearer now...
I was wondering if Lucius would change when he realize it was Hermione.
Thanks for your explanation!
Lucius... the sexy pervert. And the image of Severus ruffling through books in silken pajama pants is absolutely delightful.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I’m enjoying using Lucius and yes, the image of Severus in black silk pajama pants was fun to type. Glad you enjoyed it.
I really loved the sort of innocent sleep over feel I got from your work. And of course, the smut was lovely.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
I was hoping and yet NOT hoping that Lucius would come in and talk with Hermione. It would be good for her to have his encouragement, but bad if Severus felt that Lucius was interfering or something. I just hope she gets support as she figures out how to work on Severus! Oh, and that Severus gets his name cleared. Thanks for the new chapter!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh yes, Lucius having a heart-to-heart with Hermione. Yeeks! It will happen but … ooops don’t give away .She will have encouragement and support – already does have. For now, Lucius is Severus’ support and friend. All will happen if I’m to have a happily ever after… you’ll see. This is a romance, with a few rough spots.
Wow you've got the pair of them down really well. Severus's response to what has happened is, I believe, true to canon. It would never have been plain sailing between the pair of them. too much has happened with the pair of them before and during the war for it to be all sunshine and flowers. You've got me hooked and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.Savine x
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you so very much. And to think I was told earlier that I took Hermione’s backbone away! I thank you very much for your remarks, and you are dead on. I see things that way too. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story as we go along and that I don’t disappoint.
Response from savine_snape (Reviewer)
I don't think Hermione would have rallied with the way Severus treated her at the manor.......it would come as a complete shock that it wasn't like the dreams. After all Severus is quiet a formidable sight when angered.....or at least he is in my mind.......so it would be very intimitading to have him take what he wanted hence Hermione would feel very disorientated and desolate, hence the tears......I doubt our favourite Gryffindor will settle for that every time. *hugs* Savine
The small interlude between Severus and Lucius at the beginning of this chapter shows the redeeming qualities beneath the anger that you were going for. I think it works fairly well. It may have been smoother if Severus had made a few pointed comments about the anger he feels in that scene, since right now I get the impression that is more concerned that she was his student such a short time before.
It seems like people aren't all that surprised that Severus is alive as well.
I think you picked a great prompt, and I am enjoying how this story is developing. You are doing wonderfully!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, that would be one of his issues with the Bonding, she was his student, she is quite a bit younger than he is and he considers her insufferable to be around… among many other things we already know.As far as people not being all that surprised that he is alive – Maggie Whitmire certainly was when his name showed up on the registry. She sent an areoplane memo to the Aurors office as soon as she found out. No, I didn’t include the reaction of the Aurors’ when they received the memo – I left that to your imagination. As for Hermione, Ginny and Luna they may have been surprised, but if Hermione connected that meant he is alive. Both girls were still coming down from their own dreams at the time – post euphoric bliss and all. Ron was too stunned to realize he wasn’t chosen to think about Snape being alive and Harry was dealing with his own thing too. Sometimes we get self absorbed to see beyond ourselves…Thank you for the nice comments though. I’m very glad you like the story.
I'm just catching up with this story, and I am so glad I did! Very well done. I'm absolutely hooked ... big time! I can certainly understand this chapter being a difficult one, but you handled it well and it worked. Poor Hermione, and I feel for Severus, too. Looking forward to more!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I appreciate your support. Here’s a little teaser for you: My wife. My Bonded mate – my Dark Arts enchantress. He ran his finger through her folds until he found her clitoris, and began rubbing it. Hermione’s eyes opened with a start, gasping as if in shock. “Good morning,” he said softly with a smug smile. She licked her lips, inhaled sharply and her body shuddered as he watched her. “Good morning,” she answered uncertainly. His penis jerked and was so hard it was painful. So now she’s got me – and I’ll be damned if I’ll let her off easy…“Do you…?” she started to ask, before his fingers slipped into her heat, stroking her. “Did you?”“What, Miss Granger, sleep well? Well enough, yes.” He shifted over her, making his intent clear to her. “Want something? Yes.” His hand slid under her shirt to fondle her breast. “Sit up please, I’d like to remove your shirt,” he said in his silky drawl. She opened her mouth to protest and he leaned down and kissed her. “I could simply just have my way with you, but it is so much more enjoyable if you are willing.”To her credit, she sat up and removed her shirt, her eyes riveted on his. “Are you sore this morning?” he asked as his gaze traveled down her body. “A little,” she admitted as she lay back down beneath him.
Damn. “I’ll try to go slow,” he said.
Oh yes, he was harsh, but even if the spell is Dark magic, Severus didn't even stop to think about why it chooses two particular individuals to bond them.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
No, he’s not so much as harsh as angry at being trapped into a bonding without his consent. Severus spent so much of his life under someone’s else’s control and now his control is taken away again – by Hermione Granger. He was lashing back, using her. kind of like ‘well, you’re mine I can do what I want, damn you.’ things will get beeter.
It may have been difficult for you to write this, but I think that you've written Snape and Hermione in character, and sometimes characters do things that we don't like.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, that was a very nice thing to say. I really appreciate the suppport. I promise the relationship will get better...
I'm glad Snape was able to get his want shifted back to being his own again! Very good story. I'm really enjoying it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, well, the wand didn't respond as if should - so he had to do something, didn't he? However, don't froget his new wand, it's going to come up again. I'm glad that you are enjoying this story. Thank you for the review. Happy reading!
Response from mimmom (Reviewer)
I meant to say "wand" and not "want" which clearly you were able to figure out from the context but I felt I had to say something about my typo anyway. LOL.I look forward to reading more about this new wand.
This is certainly an action packed chapter! I was on the edge of my seat for much of it. From the first time Hermione saw Severus to tell him what she had discovered about the Prince and Osgood family tree to when she flew into his arms after the miscreants were taken into custody at Prince Manor.
I wonder if it is significant that Severus and Kingsley took the Binders and Hermione's revision guide with them but left the family tree on the coffee table? How ever that happened, I'm glad Hermione had left her revision guide behind because it meant that she was in the sitting room when Pepper arrived. I hate to think what might have happened if no one had been there... Talfryn might have died. As it is, I think the old gentleman will be annoyed that he slept through the whole thing. LOL!
Nifty chapter here, Bea! Thanks.
Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I'm glad I can still wite intense! lol It's only signifience was for Hermione to notice the binders were missing, nothing more. and her revision guide - an excuse to go back up to his rooms... Yes, since the potins weren't working and Talfryn was getting better not worse - they had to take action before he could go to the Aurory and report them! So yes, a good thing. Yes... well, he wakes up and his house is a mess - wrecked by Aurors. Not a pleasant thing to wake up to lol. Thank you very much for the review doll. Hugs.
ooooh nooo! I'm glad I didn't read this before the next chapter was finished!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, I know that it was a ebil cliffie, but you had to know he wasn't dead - the story would be over and I'm not done yet! Thank you for the review. Happy reading!
Oh Crap. This is going to go very badly. Severus is going to flip out if Rita puts out a story about her leaving him for Ron. I'm going to have to read the next chapter right now! I was so happy to see this story updating again. Thanks for keeping up with it. Much Love ~Brena
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well, yes he will be perturbed and annoyed, but keep in mind Rita wrote a book on him! He's been the subject of her quill, too. Yes, he will be angry, but he'll ask first. Hope that helps. Thank you for the review and for following alone. I appreciate it.
Oh no, have I actually caught up to real time? Good for Ginny, Sev needed a good talking to. I'm assuming Blume the Potions partner is the son of Blume the auror? Does Sev really want to spend that much time supervising Detentions with Blume when he could be cuddling Mrs Snape?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, you have. Have heart, I'm several chapters ahead of you and will post as soon as my betas finsih cleaning up my mistakes. I promise. Yes, Ginny really gave it to him - and I think he needed to hear it. Yes, good catch! Blake is Auror Blume's son. Oh I think he can fit the detentions in around his time with Hermione. lol Thank you very much for the review. Happy reading!
Veyr cool, I've got quite a thing for Wizard textiles myself.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Protective Threatening Snape. I'm getting shivers, oooh :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

how considerate, he's catching on :)

Raises head dejectedly to look up from the curb on which she sits, then stands and trudges slowly to the mail box.Looks inside box, numbly expecting the same as has been found for weeks: Nothing. Not a letter, note, nor a single word. The happy anticipation that carried her in the early days had gradually transitioned to mild disappointment, then concern, until near hopelessness led her to checking with listless automation. The key turns, the door opens, and the heart swells in rapture upon discovering there is a new chapter! The missive is reverently adoringly carried to a quiet place to be read with care and satisfaction. So very happy that there's an update!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh wow, this is a real treat! You wrote me a drabble?! I love it!! I'm very happy to be able to send you a update! I have the next one almost ready and several more written. I hope to get them to you soon. Hugs. Thank you so much for the support and loving review. It's sweet. Hugs~ and happy reading.
Response from snapesbeatrice (Reviewer)
I finished reading your long update last night. It certainly made up for the wait! It's good to see Snape opening up to working with others (albeit hedging his Slytherin bets) and how very clever Hermione was in using a variety of spells to protect Mr. Prince. Of course, all of that simply reflects your brilliance. Well plotted, well developed, great reading. Thanks! I'm looking forward to the rest. SnapesBeatrice
I loved the nickel tour of Slytherin, of course Hermione didn't get to see it with Harry and Ron, being all furry and all. funny she didn't mention that :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well, Harry and ROn only got to see the common room. Hermone was shown the dorms! Besides, she wanted to see where he stayed, a look into his past, sort of. Thank you very much for the review. happy reading!
