Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov

Reviews for The Plight-Trothed Bride
Lucius wasn't really using any different arguments than Sev did, was he? And he was using food instead of kisses ;)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope. I think he was trying to demonstrate his change of attitude with food, but providing the best his kitchens could produce, and lend her books in good faith. Thank you for the support, I appreciate your reviews very much.
Mmmmmm. Severus should argue less and kiss more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL That would have been good advice for him. Thank you for the review.
High school would have been so much easier to take if I could have gone home to a tower room with a fireplace and a tall, dark wizard. Who does she need to think about anyway ;^)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL well, yes, but some girls don't want to be married before they finish school. Besides, he was fairly rotten to her and is now wanting to have a relarionship with her. Don't worry, things will get better, bumpier for a while but better. Thank you for the review.
I'm feeling the urge to pull wings off beetles...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I'm sure Severus would appreciate teh help. lol
Love this fic!Think the meeting with the school board went rather well.Severus and Hermione both need lessons in communication.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Yes, considering everything, the board wasn't too harsh on Severus. Of course, besides the living arrangements, Severus was saying what they wanted to hear. That may have helped things.Yep, Hermione and Severus need to sit down and talk - I mean really talk. You're right. I hope you like what I've planned for the next chapter.
poor snape! he's definitely starting to get his relationship skills together.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, he's trying. lol Thank you for the review.
Good for Ginny for standing up to Severus. There is no way that he can possibly understand the bond between good girlfriends, but he really ought to know her need to confide in someone she trusts. He has to be having the same needs. I think she gave him some food for thought, maybe set them on their way to furthering the relationship between her best friend and that friend's bonded mate, and also extablished her place in their lives making it clear that she can be trusted and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Her talk with him can only be a good thing, I think. The scene at Severus' great-grandfather's house was intense. Hermione is so brave and quick on her feet, although I don't think she has had a chance to even think, she is just doing right now. I was so relieved when the good guys arrived. Once Severus is done feeling relieved that she is ok, he is going to kill her for sure :) Another fantastic chapter!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Ginny really has gumption standing up to him like she did. The relationships Severus has with his friends (malfoy for one) is so different than Hermione's and Ginny's or for that matter Hermione and Harry/Ron/George... so it's tough for him to deal with it. But yes, I think Ginny's words sunk in. Yes, Hermione was acting 'on-the-spot'. But yes, when the relief is over, he's going to have a say! lol Thank you very much, and thank you for the review. hugs~
oh that was going so well for them! Stupid death eater jerks!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes it was. Well, ebil pops up in unexpected places and always at the worst times. lol Thank you for the review.
very good. I'm glad they had a nice day together!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you.
I see Ginny agrees with me re Ron's gitness. It's about time Severus kissed Herms properly. Give her something to think about.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, Ginny knows her brother well. lol Yep, a proper kiss! Thank you for reading and for the review.
Ron is such a wanker, it would never have worked out with him. Canon just bites. Oops indeed.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, that's how I see it too. What was JKR thinking Hermione + Ron = divorse! lol Plus, I haven't painted Ron well in this either. lol Thak you for reading and for the review. Hugs~
You didn't mention Miss Priswell as part of the captured at Mr. Prince's house ... did she escape? I know there has to be more to this part of the story. Love all the action! [Your family tree sure helped me keep everyone straight this time - thanks again.] Good thing Sev wasn't the one to try to run up the stairs to save his lady in distress!Eh hem - in the part where Ginny has just gone to the Auror's offices, you wrote - 'she spotted Harry's messy brown hair'... must not have been Harry then, eh?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Next chapter you will have the Auror 'interrogation' where the full story of 'what happened' is covered, in brief reports, and will see what Severus, Ron and Harry did. Also who was caught and who was hurt. Glad that the family tree helped. Severus was the only one ot run (well fly) up the stairs to save his lady - the other two were the bad mens! lol Oh, well, Harry's hair is a really dark brown, as oposed to Severus' black hair. lol okay, oops. I guess I have to fix that.
Thank you for the update! Glad to see when all the dust settled they still reach for each other. Hopefully Hermione's realising that she's warming up to Severus for his own merits. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are most welcome. Yep, he flew up to get her and she rushed into his arms - that bodes well, especially for what comes next. Thank you very much for the review.
Burger King was fun. I don't know exactly what Hermione expects in terms of him opening up. I think he's opened up quite a bit given that this is Snape we're talking about. But she's young. I think you've done a great job of showing that she really is quite young and in some respects immature. So is Severus but for different reasons.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Sev drinking Hi-C was fun to type. I'm not sure what she expects either. You're right, he is trying to open up, as best as he can, but it's never enough for her. I am trying to keep her as 18 for this story, and she is a bit immature in some ways, stubborn and insecure in the relationships department, and not really giving in. Her priority, is school first - future second. Unfortunately, he's not very suave in the relationships department, either. This is really a struggle to get them to develope a normal healthy relationship, believe me! Thank you very much for the review.
Agg. LOL. She didn't even address the fact that she might have hurt his feelings when she refused to go to his house. She's going to have to give a little. So is he, but I think he's really really trying. I love it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are sooo right!! On both accounts. Thank you for the review, doll. Happy reading.
oooh crap...Snape is gonna LOVE this! Ugh, that Maggie is so annoying.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL yep! And yes, maggie is really quite a pill. Thank you for reading and for the review.
I think she should go to Malfoy manner. If she trusts him so much she should trust him to protect her there. I can understand her trepidation, though.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I can see it form her perspective - she was tortured there and dosen't trust the Malfoys. They always hated her, well sneered at her. Its not that Severus can't protect her, it's not wanting to face uncomfortable comments, sneeres, and being called a Mudblood. (Even though the Malfoys wouldn't due to the Bonding, but she doesn't know that) Thank you very much for the review.
Now that they are arguing it is starting to look like a relationship. Should be an interesting year at hogwarts.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I agree fully! Thank you for the review. Hugs~
That was great. I'm so glad Severus caught the death eaters.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you - wasn't that a awesome birthday weekend? Yep, he caught a few - but there are more out there. (my premisis - the Deather Eater's ran, okay Apparated away as soon as Voldemort fell like snakes in the grass.) So there are more out there to deal with. Thank you for the review, I'm gla dyou're enjoying my story. Hugs~
Frankly, the sex from the last few sections has been horrifying. Not because you wrote it badly, but because it has not been consensual! Snape never made sure that Hermione was willing, and even continued when it was clear that she was not- it was very difficult to read, especially because Snape is usually one of my favorite characters. Seeing him rape Hermione makes me really, REALLY uncomfortable. Also, Ron pushing himself on her- the amount of semi-to non-con is weirding me out. Then again, when it is fully-consensual, I love your smut.
Ron turning in Snape does seem in-character. Hell hath no fury like an ex-boyfriend scorned, right?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
This part of the story I had a bit of help with - my boyfriend, who's been reading this all along. This is how he said he'd act under the same circumstances if I'd (or any one/female. It's grudge sex - payback for trapping me) and no, I admit, it's not pretty. Things will happen to change him, and he will start to come around, but his sactions now will have a price he will have to deal iwth as well. Hope you stick it out. Thank you for the review. Things will work out in the end.
gosh, i just want to knock their heads together! great update. thanks so much
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
They are being difficult on this end too!Thank you for following along and the nice review.
Will they ever make it?? It is getting tiring to see them continually misunderstanding each other. They are incapable of communicating reasonably and something just needs to happen to make them see reason. gab
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Don't worry, doll, things are about to shift. Thank you for following along.
Well, they are not really making progress, are they...?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Not too much, yet. Thank you for the review.
Noisy pub that. Rowers are noisy buggers, my son rowed until recently, and he is STILL noisy!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL I hope his boat crew did well. Thank you for the review.
Great chapter. Hope to see another one soon.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
