Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Thanks for this update! I know he is being a real jerk, but she did such a terrible thing by bonding them, and i feel he ought to be cut a little more slack for that than a normal beau deserves. It's always interesting to see how other people feel about a story. I'm glad he's suggesting they live together at Spinner's end.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are very welcome. He's actually being less of a jerk, although he's still aloof and stiff around her. He expects more than she is ready for - or willing to accept at this time. I've a few surprises for her - and an intervention. You'll see... Thank you for the review.
Poor Severus...he's trying so hard. I understand Hermione's reluctance, but at some point she's got to give him some slack. Great chapter...can't wait for more!! ~Jen
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. He is trying, but he's still a bit of a stiff shirt, as one reviewer put it. I have a few eye openers planned and a intervention you'll see really soon - that will shake things up. Thank you for the review.
It seems like every chapter SS and HG re-enact a variation of the same scene. The story is quite good (I'm still reading avidly, aren't I?) but I'm getting frustrated with the stalemate they are in... I'd love to see some forward movement in their situation.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Okay, I'll see what I can do... hang in there. Thank you for the review.
And then she panicked. Right? If he weren't as stiff as an overstarched shirt, she'd have less trouble warming up to him. Thanks for the update ~

Oh, you have got things so well sorted out! Yes!Thank you for the review - I needed this one!
sigh.... she needs to think of how much time is reasonable. right now, it could be 20 years before she gives him an answer! she spent all day working at the shop instead of "thinking", but she didn't tell Severus - he might think she's had all day to "think" and is just delaying him. and doesn't she understand that a noisy pub isn't a good place for serious conversation? I'm not happy with this Hermione! but I'm happy for the new chapter - thank you!
Response from June W (Reviewer)
ps - if she really must go to the Hogwarts library, she can ask Minerva to give her a day's pass in it before the school year starts. she'll have the place to herself and no distractions. unless, of course, she WANTS distractions and more excuses!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL I love your comments. You are very welcome for the update. Oh, gads did you see my outline? Need better firewall! Kidding... No, it won't take 20 years...Thank you for the review.
I understand where Hermione is coming from and honestly this is probably a most 'real' scenario if these events were really taking place between two people (two people somehow accidently married via magic LOL), but I can't help but feel a little of Severus' frustration. I feel like Hermione is acting like a very wishy washy little girl on a very important subject. She seems to spend most of her energy trying to avoid making decisions rather than rationalizing them out and coming to any definite conclusions. It's almost a kind of 'I don't want him but I don't want to let him go' type thing I'm seeing in her. I realize she's young and young women ARE very wishy washy, but in this particular case, with Severus point blank asking her what she wants time and time again, while she - time and time again - does everything in her power to prolong her indecision... well, I'm finding myself sympathizing greatly with Severus and I wouldn't blame him for simply saying 'to hell with her. I'll find a GROWN woman to deal with instead of this little girl.' Hopefully it doesn't come to that though. :)

, Okay I'm goign to confess here. I have a computerized daily planner that I have been using to track my story, and plan out my outline - by date! This story started sometime between May 1st and 3rd. The Moon'Song spell was done on May 11th and they consumated the spell on May 25th! See - only 25 days after the war. Kingsley's visit to the Burrow was on May 29th, four days later. Severus was arrested on June 1st, and Hermione goes to see him the first time on June 8th.Severus' trial begins July 1st (alluded to) it goes three weeks. July 1st - 17th. Severus is freed July 24th. Harry's birthday is of curse July 31st, and at this chapter we are in the first weeks of August. (the governors meeting was the first Tuesday of the month!
You are supposed to feel Severus' frustration, but considering how he treated her in the early part of the Bonding, he's being down right NICE! Still a stiff shirt - but he's getting there.
In regards to Hermione - yes, she is. She is hoping that if she can put Severus off long enough, she will be able to get to the one place she has always relied on for answers - the Hogwarts library and sort this out.
So expect for another outburst, and a frustrated Severus and a intervention from a friend and yes, a trek (dragged to) a library. I'm about to give her what she is wanting to know. Okay?
Thank you for sticking this out. Hugs for doing so. I love the review. Thank you.
Hermione needs to take responsibility for her actions. Spinner's End is a neutral place. It is not her enemy's house and it is not his enemy's house. So what if it needs everything done to it? She would have something to do while she is getting to know Severus better. However, I think she needs to stop faffing about. Is she an adult or not?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
She is just hoping that if she can put Severus off for a while longer, that once school starts she can find her answers on the Hogwarts lubrary - the one place she feels is where all the answers to everything are kept. In regards to Spinner's End - she still sees it as his house, not neutral at all. Like going to a guys dormroom on campus - his home court advantage. Besides, the wards are still on the house, she couldn't leave before, last time she there. She is only eighteen after all - not a wise woman like most of us. Like Severus, she has limited relationship experience, and thinks ... well, you'll see... Thank you very much for the review.
Response from Maddie (Reviewer)
Oh, I'll cut her some slack this time. You have some good arguments. Perhaps I am looking at her behavior with my over 50 eyes.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
and I'm trying not to use my 45! My girlfriend's daughter is 18, a bookworm, and her cousin took her to her prom even though he was three years older than she is. I suppose I'm using her 'current dating talk' as my guide.
hi, just wondering when you would be updating? I really like the story so far.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Hopefully really soon. My beta has my next chapter...

Ooh that Rita frosts my pumpkin!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
She's a gift character - and yes, lol, she frosts mine as well!
Yes, the angry sex is right, even if it is unhappy to read. I liked how he did the right thing, even if it was only towards his own interests. He could have been much more selfish, nice that he wasn't
Surely it would take more than three Aurors to
take down Sev?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I'm so sorry, but when I wrote that my (then) boyfriend told me that's how he'd have acted (and I toned it down quite a bit from what he said he'd have done in Severus' shoes!!) Well, he was caught off-guard, and didn't expect to have been caught... so the Aurors had the advantage. Too bad this won't help his attitude...oops. Thank you for the review,
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
. happy reading.
I can't wait until Severus sees what Narcissa has done to his house. I love this story. It has lots of conflict but it isn't constantly miserable. It makes for an interesting read.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL Oh, it's coming up, I promise you. Thank you, I'm thrilled that you like my story. Yes, it's got conflict, ups, downs, and back slidding, but then my goal is to have these two in a normal healthy relationship -and they are not making my job easy! But I'm working on them, really I am. lol Thank you for the review. Hugs~
So that's where all those fairytale towers come from, lol. Nice use of Imperius by Sev, it feels likely to me.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, well, thay had to come from somewhere, didn't they? That was fun typing actually, and I'm glad that you liked that little touch. Thank you. I know it's an Unforgivable, but he's rather used to bending the rules a bit. lol Thank you for reading, I really appreciate your comments.
So the owls telling Herms to stay away are from jealous witches who also wanted Sev, right ;-)
Sev is right, he was pretty much the victim here. Unusual for Hermione to be that out of tune with the consequences of her actions. Not that i'm complaining!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I dunno,
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
, were you one of those witches? I'm sure that some were warnings cuz he's a Death Eater (I mean, he killed Dumbledore and was a Death Eater) and some may have been witches who thougth she should be with Ron (nutters) But I never told you who they were, did I? lol Yes, Severus is totally the victim of this - and avery angry about it. Not a good place/way to start a relationship with someone you only knew from school -and not in a favorable way either. Yes, it was most unusual for her to act without being aware of the consequences, but then, she trusted her friends - and will do so for a while... you'll see. But things have gotten off to a rough start for this pair. Thank you for reading and for the review.
Poor Hermione. Severus just isn't making this any easier. Still, I have hopes for this "not-a-date" thing.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope he's not. lol did you expect him to at this stage of the "relationship"? Yeah, they will have to learn how to get along, and get to know one another. Thank you very much for the review. ~hugs~
Aww....great ending to the chapter. I love the conversation between Ginny and Severus too. Great job on the steady progress your creating between the couple. Can't wait for more! ~Jen
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Yes, one step forward, so to speak. I see Ginny as having gumption and can stand up for herself -(she does have seven older brothers after all) - and has been on his side. lolThank you very much. I'm treating this as a psychological piece, literally typing these two through a type of therapy - the goal = a normal healthy relationship. I still have a ways to go. lol Thank you for the review and for sticking with me. ~hugs~
I feel a bit sorry for both of them. Severus is definitely a bit off in the area of social skills. Unfortunately, Hermione is clueless about what to do with someone whose social skills are not quite right.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I know, but things can only get better, right? lol may take a while, a few up and downs, backslides and bumps, but its the road I'm taking them on. Yes, Severus is a bit antisocial and lacks social skills (unless he's 'playing the part' with his pure-blood friends) and he's not at all like Ron... So no, Hermione isn't sure just how to read him or deal with him - yet. Thank you for the review. Happy reading.
oooh noooo! I hope they work this out soon!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
In time, but you know how stuborn he can be and she's feeling hurt. But they will eventually get things worked out. in time. Thank you for the review, happy reading!
Oh dear. manure, meet ventilation device...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL that's a interesting way to put it! Thanks for the laugh! oh and for reviewing. Hugs~
Poor Sev and his laundry issues. Sounds like that may get fixed shortly?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
ohmygods! ROTFL! Oelbait - you're delightful! Thanks for the review.
Well well, imagine waking up from that sort of dream to Lucious watching you? Well, mmm, I can imagine, but I don't think it did much for Sev
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, that would be quite a unsettling thing, huh? Thank you for the review.
Bangers and mash sound good but what I really like is the Newcastle Brown! Good stuff. I am enjoying the story as well and I look forward to the next installment.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I just have to clean up the chapter and It's ready to go! Hugs~
well, i was excited to see another chapter, and i'm still enjoying this story, but i agree with those who are thinking it's about time for hermione to stop waffling and step up to the plate. maybe she didn't mean to get bonded to him, and sure he has behaved badly, but at this point i understand his frustration with her. but i guess she is behaving like a teenage girl might in such a situation.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I know there are a few of you who are anxious for Hermione to gorw up and accept things. It will be getting better. Just hang on.Thank you for the review.
You know I am beginning to side with Severus on this. She is the one that performed the spell, but he is the one having to pay for her actions. I think it is time Hermione steps up to the plate and takes responsibility for her actions.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. He is starting to bend and soften finally, but she is being stubborn. She will bend - I have the next three written and there is a big surprise coming. She will take responsibility, don't worry.Thank you for the review.
Ohhh...as a Yankee living in the UK I have to say that bangers and mash are heavenly...and yes. Only just a wee fattening. ;)Another fantastic update! Hermione is being a bit over the top - but I suppose that's to be expected. It's not OOC to me. But she's beginning to make me grouchy. ;) After all...this whole thing is her fault.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Only a wee bit fattening? Thank you for the compliment, I really appreciate it. I agree with you and you will see her sway... Hugs~
It seems that a girl who can plan out a multi-colored study schedule could be able to make time for her husband. Is she just hoping he'll go away? For something she initiated, she is acting quite childishly about seeing it through to a less than romanticized conclusion. I'm sure Severus' impatience isn't helping her but she isn't taking the time to work it out in her head, so she is unprepared. I hope when she says "let me think on it," she does.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
It's the bending of two very strong personalities, both who are still struggling with the relationship part, and yes, Hermione is still hoping for a way out of this mess. But there is a big eye opening comeing up. Thank you for the review.
