Hermione finds a mysterious piece of self-writing parchment in Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes that writes: Tell me your deepest desire. Thinking it’s a trick, she says, “I wish to see my soul mate?” and she suddenly finds herself at Severus’ feet.

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

i wonder why Severus didn't like Hermione putting his hair behind his ear. does he just not like it not blocking his face? does he not like her touching his hair? or was the gesture too intimate? am i reading too much into this?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
You are the second to ask that. I can't tell you why right now - but I will later... yes, not really, yes and no.
I can't imagine how boring/tedious/frustrating Cillian's assignment is! I feel sorry for him, though I'm also suspecting there's much more to him than meets the eyes and I'm also hoping he's as loyal and reliable as Severus thinks.
And I think we'll all be glad that Draco's around before long.
The Death Eaters taunting her--that was horrid. Poor Hermione.
Another strong chapter. Thank you so much for writing it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
For now yes, it's boring, tedious and frustrating. but things will change a bit as it becomes, commplicated, frustrating, dangerous and exciting as well as boring... DA. Dianne. Draco's being around will have profound effects on him... You are very welcome, I'm working on the next one.
Another fabulous chapter. Will you explain why Snape doesn't like his hair tucked back? I guess I've forgotten and will have to look back. When was Hermione attacked by Travers and Rowle?Livvy
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much. You ar the third to ask about the hair. I can't answer that yet, but it is something I didn't show before. Hermione was attacked by several Death Eaters in the first chapter, only I didnt' give the details. In the second chapter you have an idea of how badly she was abused.Rowle and Travers were there, but we've only just found that out. Severus removed some of the memories of the rape/beatings/sodimized/tortured/cursed, but not all of them. that's why she had flash backs.
The word eschewed is used incorrectly. Eschew means to shun. The term you are looking for is skewed, which means off kilter or out of focus. It changes the meaning of the sentence to nonsense the way it is now. But very good progression. Appreciate it very much. Thanks.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
I know. I already fixed this. Thanks
Another wonderful chapter. I so love the interactions between severus and hermione, incredibly hot. I also just love the premise of the story, not a mlc but similar in ways and it is awesome that it shows a (revised) DH from the perspective at hogwarts. I'm really excited for more, i just hope there's a little more sshg in the next chapter! Great work!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you. Yes, I'm changing DH and showing how Hogwarts was in the war. It's not pretty. This isn't mlc, but a forced captivity that isn't too bad. there will be loads of SS/HG moments that follow as the stroy progresses.
I never knew all that about the "Rapunzel" fairy tale. You've made interested in looking up that info.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much. Just a little extra detail for fun.
Things are getting more interesting by the chapter. It won't be easy to start the DA again without the Death Eaters noticing. How blind could Severus go before he has to punish them? Poor Cillian, he'll have his hands full.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Isn't that what happened in DH anyway? Oh once I get Hermione's mind on it - it'll work out. Severus is already ready for the DA to resurface. He expected it would. Yes, Cillian is gonna find that 'watching' Hermione is quite a chore!
Though her situation is not ideal by any means, her relationship with Severus seems rather stable and reassuring. She can obviously look to him for strength.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Yes, he's trying to be as considerate and caring as he can be toward her. She is finally beginning to lean on him for strength, if little else yet. Thank you for the reveiw.
and whatever did happen to that parchment???
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
That is the question. Guess who has it? (course I can't answer that yet... but if you look behind the scenes, it was last seen either in Grummauld Place. So if it simply sent her - it was there, or if it did act like a Portkey and take her - it was in the glade...) the answer is coming up
can't wait for the next...I love the pace you are taking with this. it feels right. something is just very right about the way you are treating the pairing here. it feels almost natural, especially with the situation you have placed the characters in. I love that, and i love canon characters in non-canon pairings. and just by the way, I completely love Cillian.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Wow, thank you for this! I really appreciate the compliments and support! *blushes* Sometimes I think I'm going to slow, and need to speed or bundle days/weeks up, but on the day by day, there are things that need to be said for the rest to make sense. I can't keep doing day by day and there will be some jumping ahead or this stroy would end up as 365 chapters! *shivers* But yes, things are currently progressing slow... I want Sev and Hermione to grow on each other and there is a huge hurtle to overcome to get them there (three actually) but when they do - the Dark Lord had better watch out! oops, shouldn't have said that...I'm glad you like Cillian. He's basically a easy going Sev, you've just seen his good side!
This was a really great chapter. It really moved the story ahead and I already can't wait for the next chapter!!Great work!gab

Thank you very much for the supportive review. Back to typing!
Another wonderful chapter - thank you.I love your OC's - Cillian is very interesting and I believe there is more to him than meets the eye at the moment. Peren is just darn adorable and I've got a feeling she will help Hermione more than any of us know for now.Looking forward to her meeting with McGonagall and how the other staff and students will react to her being Mrs Snape.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you vry much. Yes, Cillian is really a good guy under it all - kind of like Draco, caught up with the Dark Lord because his parents found out the truth a little to late. Belinda is quite a bit like Bella (without the jail time) and yes, little Peren could be a big help once Hermione gets used to the idea of using her. (It's the using part)The reactions are coming up! Well, back to typing!
Congradulations on 3rd place you earned it!Draco and Hermione have more of a brother sister thing going on at least for the time being any way.I think Draco will be protecting her alot though. She needs to let Severus know about the Dark Lord though,I think that he thinks that hes the reason shes so upset.I can't wait to see how Hermiones housemates take her though, all togeather I think its going to be a hard year for her.Hope you can update soon I love this story.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much! I was deeply honored to have won it!Yes, Hermione and Draco have more of a Harry and Hermione relationship going on. For now it's a task he's been given and he's taking it very seriously - his mum's life is on the line.Hermione does need to open up to Snape and tell him, but so far she still feels like a prisoner and isn't sure how much he can do to protect him from the Dark Lord. But very soon I plan on having him see what happened... and things will come clear for him.The reactions are coming up, and Hermione will find a housemate (or two) that is going to be closer to her than they were before, (not sexually!) and we'll see Ginny's dormmates as well as the sixth-year guys.Yes, this is going to be a hard year for many! Hogwarts is not how it's been in the past - things have changed...
Oh, so, things aren't so dreadful between them. I guess his helping the Order helps her to deal with her situation. I'm very curious about her chat to come with McGonagall and the other Gryffindors' reaction.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you. No things aren't as bad as they were and he's always been trying to help her with the situation as much as he can. The reactions are coming up!
Oooh, update! I really do love this story, I think it's very real and I think it's definitely my favourite re-telling of DH. :) Cheers!Side note... there was a little grammar mishap... "The icy blast of the water before it heated up refreshed her mind and gave her strength, but her nerves, stretched to their limits, seemed to brake as her emotions washed over her." -- "brake" should be "break".
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much.and thanks for the tip.
I love the blast ended skrewt apparel! it's great!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Well, what else was that creature/beast good for? Teehehe Besides if the shell look anything like abalone - it might be pretty as well as functional! Thanks for the reivew!
I'm so very curious how her first day of school will be like...and if/when Severus finds out her fears of the Voldy-conversation!Great story...keep it up!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Well, the next chapter is the day her friends arrive - at least those able to return! Hermione will actually have a housemate that will be friendlier to her this year. (not sexually! just a closer friend than they'd been before)
Response from remy (Reviewer)
(I know....Neville!)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
You think so? Well maybe him too, but weren't they friends already, I mean he even asked her to the Yule Ball because she'd always been so nice to her...
wow. that was another great chapter. and LONG. (that's a good thing!) poor hermione, having to deal with nightmares both sleeping and waking! with friends like that, who needs enemies, indeed. i continue to enjoy your development of your OCs, cillian and peren. i really liked that in this chapter severus was being so sensitive to her, at least as much as he could let himself, and she was trusting him, as much as she could let herself. and of course, nice sweet lemony goodness there at the end. : )
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you. Yes, these chapter are long, but so far none seems to mind too much! Yep, Hermione is starting to trust Severus and he's beginning to soften up to her. There is a planned moment when he will 'see' the memories of what the Dark Lord said and did and he'll understand - finally! It will be one more teather which will bring them closer. You'll see... Yes, Cillian is going to be developed a bit as will a few more students you'll meet later, and don't forget Belinda... I know some readers don't go for OC's, but these OC's I add in will only be 'friends and enimies...Thank you for the reveiw. I hope to get the next chapter up soon.
Yea! Im so glad to see an update! I think you are doing a great job! I really like how Hermione is starting to trust Severus. I cant wait to read more!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much. It's happening, abit slowly, but yes, she's beginning to trust him. Thank you for the reveiw!
will be interesting to read the rest of the staff's reaction to the situation
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you. Some of that is coming up in the next chapter...
That was fabulous!!!!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much!
I really like this story. I like the real interactions and the things going on around the main characters, and that sex scene was lovely.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the compliment. wow!
Love this story. Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Hermione is now 'back'. She's been missing all this time and now she's back, and with Snape no less. I can't believe Minerva wasn't completely gobsmacked by it all. And kind of, I can't believe Harry and Ron weren't contacted immediately, or Molly and Aurther or the rest of the Order for that matter... or... were they? lol Can't wait to see what you have planned next.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Since this is Hermione’s POV, you are getting only what she knows or sees, and it’s not always the whole picture. The staff is still adjusting to what they have been told would happen and tension is high… But you’ll see their reaction in the next chapter...
I’m cleaning up my typos and gram errors in my next chapter. So, I’ll hopefully have it cleaned up and ready soon. I know I keep saying that – but you should see the red when I get it back! Bless my betas – they are so awesome!
I love that he gave her the three books (hining of his choosen side) and I really love really love the last bit with then alone in their bedroom very touching! Great chapter!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Self-Writing Parchment)
Thank you very much. He's simply trying to get her to realize how much crap she will have to deal with (and I want my readers to know - Hogwarts isn't like it was in her first six years - things have really changed)Yes, Severus is still trying to keep from being just another Death Eater who will rape or take what he wants without giving her consideration in return. He wants her to want him.Thank you for the review. I'm so glad you liked this chapter.
Great chapter Bea, I loved all the emotion and the demonstration of the stress she is going through.
