Years after Voldemort is destroyed, Hermione struggles to have the life she has always wanted. **Note: This story is on haitus. It isn't abandoned; I simply have no idea when it will be continued.

Reviews for Strega Letteraria
The action here is playing out at an excellent (torturous) pace. I don't think I could bear sitting by idly with Hermione in danger either. Fortunately our 'Stranger' seems to be better suited to the task...
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Yup. Nothing like a man with a wand to defend a girl in danger. *smirk*
Another great chapter. I am rather quickly becomming adiccted to this story, it is so well written and the plot is so intriguing. I look forward for the next update!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Thank you very much!
Ah Severus, our dashing knight in black. yep, wait till he figures out that Hermione is preggers.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
*lol* We'll see!
OK, I'm more sure than ever that the Stranger is Snape. Why does he recognize those books in particular, I wonder? As opposed to what must be any number of other Dark Arts books? Hmmm. I love when you keep me guessing!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
If you are still guessing, then I'm doing my job! *grin*
What a striking looking man you described.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Rather striking, I agree. Now you know where my tastes run around this fandom. *snicker* I suppose I could have been more original.
ah... I used to think the stranger was Snape who was hiding out in the muggle world and incognito in the wizard world. Now he's buying books for the new potions master at Hogwarts. You are a tricksy author. And I'm also a little stressed at what Harry will be like when he finds out. I"m almost afraid for her.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
I try my best to be tricksy, to keep you guessing at all times.
Alright! I bet 'the stranger' is Severus, which I've expected pretty much all along. I can't wait till he finds out she's pregnant. He's so protective now he'll be busting bricks when he learns that tidbit. Excellent chapter.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
I thought the chapter on the Stranger would be welcome. ;) Thanks for the review!!
Hmm, a bit of déja-vu is always intriguing, isn't it? Makes one wonder what those hands could do in certain circumstances. *evil grin* Nice chapter, hoping to see more soon. Cheers!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Indeed. *smirk*
Wow. A very addictive story and work got really delayed. lol. Can't wait to see what Hermione's devious little plot turns out to be and exactly how it spells trouble for the Malfoys.
Harry is a total prat, which really isn't too much surprise, though I look forward to seeing him eaten up with guilt or jealousy sometime in the future when he sees Snape raising his daughter!
And what about Ron? This story is just so nicely weaved that I can't help but to think up scenarios for each of the characters. Just really loved it and will be looking forward to the next chapter.
For now, there's work to be done...
Well Draco cannot have known who is the father of Hermione's baby. Wonder what he has planned...I assume Snape is the stranger staying under cover? But why is he still undercover? And he does not know of the pregnancy...The fact that Hermione continues to live on the financial edge makes me nervous to say the least. Good job on rising the tension slowly!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Tension is definitely the underlying theme of this story!
Rut Row the pregnancy is slowing making itself known. I expect there was an incident where Lucius attacked Hermione and she hexed him into his current state? Perhaps Draco or Mrs. Malfoy could get themselves a job? That might help their cash flow? Thank you for the chapter
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Oh, the Malfoys will end up making a living somehow, that's for sure. ;)
You have painted an interesting portrait of Lucius, but I just can't believe that the physical is all about Lucius that draws Narcissa in. (Actually, I don't know of any fanfiction that describes what the Malfoys really have in common.) What about a common passion for music - say, Liszt or Verdi - a certain genre of literature such as Romantic English poetry (Wordsworth, Keats, etc.), or art collecting? I think bringing out more common tastes between the two would add significant dimension to the characters.
As for Narcissa, you've brought out a very good point in regard to her anger and grief over Lucius, and I'm curious to see if she takes action to protect Hermione (maybe she can feel some sympathy for the young woman as a single mother), perhaps by contacting Severus Snape?
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Good point about going deeper into the relationship between Narcissa and Lucius, though that is not really what I wanted to focus on in this chapter. And I must remain silent on answering questions because I don't want to give anything away!
Thanks for the review!
ooh the plot thickens...
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
oh, yes, it does... ;)

And, oh! Things are heating up and getting rather hairy!! *squeals*
Lovely chapter - Thanks for sharing! And now I can't wait for your next installment!
Author's Response: Hahaha – I read that 'getting rather Harry'. *snicker*
Ch. 3- Oh dear. Cue ominous music of three beats - dun, dun, duuuun.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Yes, I hear the music playing in the background too. dun... dun... dun... duuuuuuuun.
Oh!!!! Poor Hermione! She's really in a pickle now, isn't she? Since this story is labelled "Potions under Duress" I assume Snape will have to help her out, but now I wonder when and in what way.... So far your writing is very atmospheric and emotional - keep on going!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Definitely a picklie. Poor Hermione is right. As if she doesn't have enough worries as it is. ;)
Ahhh, what a chapter! Well-written and thoroughly enjoyable...as always. Can't wait for more!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
More is definitely coming, and I can't wait to post it ... Thank you!
Yikes!! Young MacDougal better fix things before his father poisons other customers. I suppose Hermione won't be able to identify the potion by smell? Did she do a contraceptive spell? Does Harry really love his fiance? Scary... Thanks for the new chapter!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
The old man really needs to retire. I don't know if contraceptive potions come in different flavors. I think for sure there was one that glowed in the dark. In any case, I think it's been a looooong time since Hermione needed one of those.
And things are really getting interesting! That potion mix-up sounds potentially, erm, interesting. Eep!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Or potentially devastating, I should think. Poor Hermione. God, I'm so evil to her.
Rut Row! Is Hermione preggers?? The new Mrs. Potter will not be pleased I expect. Who is the watcher? I was thinking Snape but wouldnt he have more caustic thoughts at seeing Harry & Hermione together? And so the mystery continues...
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
And so the mystery DOES continue, indeed. *cue in soap opera intro* Will our dear Hermione find herself in a motherly way ... or will the test be negative? Either way, will the Stranger save the day? Tune in next time for another episode of ... Strega Letteraria. *lol* I think this story is beginning to have that sort of feel, don't you think?
Oh boy what a mess this is. I'm so happy you updated, I've missed you!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Thank you! It's nice to be missed. Even nicer to be able to post a chapter for the readers!
Memory Potion? What could that possibly mean at this point? Smells fishy... Hmm. ;)Good chapter, though I'm dying to see who the 'Stranger' is. (I have a feeling about it, but I'll keep it to myself) And this little drink induced/comfort seeking shag between Harry and Hermione is a whole other thing... Whoa!! o_O Looking forward to the next chapter. Cheers!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Poor Hermione. Victim of a half-blind apothecary and alcolhol-induced hormones. I'd laugh, but it's not funny. Poor Hermione.
Bwahahahaha... poor old sod should do a spell to make his glasses work better. LOLMan, I'd like to order a Harry on toast please. *leers at text again*
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Yeah, or use a spell that reads labels out loud. Those are nifty.
