Years after Voldemort is destroyed, Hermione struggles to have the life she has always wanted. **Note: This story is on haitus. It isn't abandoned; I simply have no idea when it will be continued.

Reviews for Strega Letteraria
Squee!!! Update! Draco is a right little bastard and I hope his attempt is not successful. And a smitten Severus, motherly Minerva and a still-meddling Albus! Lovely.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Squee is right. I was so incredibly happy I finished this chapter and finally have a direction. I had lost it for a while there. I think Bastard!Draco is going to ruin that character in my writing forever after this. Which is too bad since I have half a story written as a sequel to my Afternoon series. Ah, I'll just have to get over it, is all.

I disagree with the reviewer who said Albus wasn't likely to come back as a ghost. I think he would just so he could have a bit of say in life events. I found the chapter very enjoyable especially since I could just pick up where I left off and still know what was going on.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
I disagreed too, although when I mention Albus's ghost in the first chapter I did it without giving it any real thought. It was pretty gormless on my part. So I felt I had better justify it. And ... well, what is a story without old Albus Dumbledore?

What has that idiot Draco done?

I think I need to think of a proper punishment for that pillock for sure.

Hopefully if Lucius is returned to his normal state, Draco can find it in himself to forgive Hermione.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Really, I think Draco is one wave short of a shipwreck. I don't think 'forgive' is in his vocabulary.

"one wave short of a shipwreck' I love it!

Even though he is better looking as Samuel, I suspect she prefers his Severus face as much as his voice.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Oh, I definitely think so too.

Promising, very promising.:)

Especially since now she has finally met him. Took a while, didn't it?

And now , things should start heating up? Maybe?

Do I detect a hint of hopefulness? *lol*

Yup, to the rescue!

Oh dear, Draco has been lowered to the level of a petty criminal. I thought the Ministry was alerted when magic was performed when Muggle's were around?
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
You know, I've researched it a bit on sites ... and from what I remember in the books. If the Muggles notice the magic, then the Ministry gets involved. Personally, I think the Ministry should keep track of the type of spell being used.

At least she has a protector, even though she is not aware of it.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Exactly. We all should have a protector like that.

That boy is obsessed. He would be better to enlist Hermione's help to cure his father.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
You would think. But I think he's also a bit ... unstable. Obsession is simply a product of that. A bit scary, don't you think?

Is he just going to leave her with the bill for the books, or has he more nefarious deeds planned?

ARGH!!!!!!!! you better post the next chapter quick, 'cos I am hyperventilating at this newest cliffhanger. they should have KNOWN that she needed to hide per pregnancy, instead of letting her shop in broad daylight at a maternity shop and telling Minerva (who might've told someone else). ARGH!!!! sick Draco... grr....thanks for the new chapter!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
I believe I have finally managed a successful cliffhanger! Woo-hoo! You're right, I better update quick. I have a momentum going that I don't want to lose. I learned that I need to re-prioritize. That means putting aside working in the queue until I write a bit, but if I want to write, queue work will have to come second some days is all. (Trying not to feel guilty about it and apologizing to any authors who have stuff waiting in queue....)
Response from June W (Reviewer)
you have never 'hogged' the top spot on the queue for yourself. it has been months since your last chapter was posted. I think you're perfectly entitled to work on your own story!

"Help ogle the bartender" LOL. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it!

Uh oh, this doesn't look good.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Nope, it doesn't. On the bright side ... Harry and Hermione talked (a little).

They both have issues. Talk, children, talk!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
*cough* You've read on. They'll 'talk' all right.

Why is the business not successful, it sounds like a great place? I have my suspicions on the identity of the stranger, but why is he watching her?
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
LOL! I was looking at my Chapter 14 reviews and didn't notice I had a whole bunch for previous chapters unanswered (I don't have access to my email at the moment).Of course, I know that you've read on, and so any questions you've posed will be answered. The identity of the stranger ... I thought seriously of not categorizing this where I did at the beginning. But then, no one would have read it. *lol*

Wow!!! I just read through everything you've written so far and am completely in awe. Harry is being an unbelievable prat, but I love your take on Severus/Samuel and how he has been such a godsend for Hermione.
But Draco definitely needs to die.
Oh, I do hope you update this excellent story soon!!!
So Snape saves the day. Poor Hermione, her life just sucks. I think Snape also thinks aloud for me as well. Eventually, I figure HP will have to find out/know the truth.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
*cough* Who's Snape?
(Sorry, Emoticon Snape doesn't like to take points from his own house!)
Oh dear, what will Draco try next after he realizes his plot failed? Hopefully she knows enough to follow Moody's mantra. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. ~

that was a close one....thank goodness the stranger was listening. keep up the good work hun.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Definitely too close! Thanks for reading!
Nice save, Snape. Love the conflicting reactions he has.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Snape? Who's Snape? *lol* (Just playin' with ya.)
Response from firefly124 (Reviewer)
Oops! I mean Stranger!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Why does Snape need a cane? At least I assume it has to be Snape as the stranger. I am surprised that he didn’t notice her lack of customers before she mentioned she was closing the shop. Not very good surveillance Mr. Spy. Oh my Hermione really is in a pickle with Ginny. She cannot tell her about her one night stand with Harry, Ginny will despise her. I really felt Hermione’s isolation in this chapter. Thank you for the update!!!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
There is a hint in Chapter Five regarding your first question. The Stranger does in fact notice Hermione's lack of customers, but I really think only something drastic would make Hermione sell the shop. The Stranger has sort of had a lot thrown at him in the way of new information, let's just say.
Whew! That's one Avada dodged. Thanks for giving us such an exciting chapter. I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat by the end of it. I hope Ms. Hermione is going to be more careful from here on out; Draco is going to continue to be persistent. I hope Hermione gets better acquainted with The Stranger soon. I've a feeling she's going to be needing a lot more of his help before it is all over.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Yes, it's nice to get help from Strangers sometimes!
Wow, Hermione better stop worring about the whys and whos and worry for her own health. Great chapter. I'm looking forward to more.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Strega Letteraria)
Yeah, she needs less worry and more R&R!
