Poor Hermione doesn't know if she's in or out. Long term goals are fine in the abstract, but when you know the "casualties" it's a lot more difficult to be detached. Excellent characterization and obfuscation. I'm looking forward to more.

I know Ron has to have some intelligence, otherwise he wouldn't be such a chess whiz. Why is it that it all flies out the window the second you push any one of his anger buttons?

I hadn't even thought of Lucius and Narcissa insisting that Severus is really working for Voldie.  Of course, their memories are only their perceptions, but they could still appear quite damning.

this is indeed an amazing story. my loyalties are shifting back and forth faster than i can put them into writing. I especially like how you succesfully put Ron and Hermione into an impossible lose-lose situation. although in the long term he may have been a more natural match for Hermione they has now crossed a line where they will have trouble rebuilding their trust. Severus is also in a bit of a bind but if he is careful he may be able to come out a winner

Very touching when he was cradling her.  Poor Ron.  Though, poor Draco more like. This is when I hope Rabastan changes sides, but alas, I don't see that happening. 

Talk about being between a rock and a hard place for all parties concerned!  I know Ron brought this on himself for not thinking (once again) and not trusting Harry enough to yell at him first before making the biggest blunder of his life, but now he is really in for it.  And what will this do to Hermione's future mental and emotional well being if Ron (and/or Draco) is killed because of her.  Not to mention her budding relationship with Severus.  Add in Rabastan, the Dark Lord and a possible impending visit by several Order members and you have major problems ahead.  You have written me into a frenzy just anticipating where you will lead next.  Thanks for sharing such a complex and interesting story.  I can't wait until next time.  Thanks, JoAnne

What an evil cliffie! I can't wait to see what happens next (well, I can wait, if I have to ;-) but I really am looking forward to the next chapter).

Ron's so stupid sometimes... and I do hope Hermione won't feel guilty about choosing Snape over Ron, at least, considering Ron's not exactly been terribly faithful to her in the meantime. As much as I dislike Ron sometimes, I do hope that Harry and the Order people will get there in time to save him and Draco. I guess I'll see what happens though! :-)

Ron's an idiot.  I don't know what is going to go on, but I really don't think he is Hermione's equal.  I kind of hope the Snape thing works out for her.

And poor Draco, who was just (bored and) wanting to help her. 

This is not going to help Severus out in his relationship with her, and it might make Voldemort want to see her even sooner.
