Although on different sides of the war, Severus and Hermione work together, each for their own reasons. This is my take on the events following HBP and will lead up to the Dark Lord's demise.

I adore the world of HP.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to stir my cauldron.

Ooh I've just found this story and I love it! I'm completely hooked. When the next chapter coming?!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks. The next chapter is with my beta, so I'd guess in a day or two. :)
Poor Hermione! I felt so sorry for her... I hope in the next encounter with Ron, he has his Sex-God abilities once more :)
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks so much for reading! They'll get better (their coupling), but we'll never see it. The next thing we'll see is a heated run in with Snape. Whoops! :)
Wow you got quite a little mystery going on here. I am glade you aren't portraying Snape as a bad guy. I do believe we will find much more went on that night in the tower than anyone realised.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
I think there was way more going on in the tower than Harry saw. I just hope it's something we'll approve of.
wow you got quite a mystery going. I'm glad you aren't portryaing Snape as a evil git. I do believe we will find out in the end , in Deathly Hallows there was much more going on.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks! I'm with you there, too. I hope he's not an evil git after all that. :) More up soon.
Well, a short chapter, maybe, but really good. Poor Ron. His love affair with Hermione is not for long, the writing is on the wall!
And the photo of Snape with Dumbledore is actually haunting, when I think about it: Severus Snape looking happy and relaxed. I can picture Alan Rickman that way, but Snape... Haven't seen him in that mood. But I want to.
Good job.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
I'd like to think it was taken from his earlier years after the Dark Lord had finally "fallen" and life had a little more appeal and hope for him. I'll try to explain more about the picture later. :)Ron and Hermione won't have long at all. :) Thank you
Oh, poor Ron! You can't help but feel a little bad for him, ya know? And Hermione too for that matter. I wonder what will happen if she ever finds out it was really Snape and not Ron!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Yeah, he didn't realize he did anything wrong (like most young boys anyway on their first trysts). She finds out in the next chapter!
Response from cocoachristy (Reviewer)
**Rubs hands together** It's getting juicy!
Not exactly what she was expecting, I think. Maybe she'll try to liqour him up?
Is the book Harry's reading the one that Snape needs?
I'm looking forward to seeing what Draco's plans are.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Heh, maybe there's something to getting sauced up at that. :) Harry is indeed reading what Snape needs. :)
Yeah for Snape/Hermione interaction in the next chapter!!This chapter.... Ron was a total let-down for Hermione, not even bothering to see if she had felt anything else but pain. The git! Hope she gets to slap his ungrateful face across the room. The boorish brute!*takes a cleansing breath* I'm hopeful that Hermione will find some solace with someone else than RON. Great story, as all your stories are. Looking forward to the next installement. Cheers!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Ah, I think all young boys are too eager and not really experienced enough to know what a girl needs. Or at least my young boyfriend wasn't all that back in the day. :) hermione will definitely find something better. Teehee. Thanks!
Ah well you know, gotta have those transitional chapters. Good writing as usual, even though Ron and Hermione are utterly squicky to me. Draco is getting sneaky, I like sneaky Draco. *pets Draco* On with the plot development! Write faster and feed my addiction, purdy please.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks! Yeah, I'm not much on Ron/Hermione either. Luckily, that's all about to go down south. The man with the plan sees to that. Muahahaha
Bit of a bummer, that Ron/Hermione encounter, but about what you'd expect it to be with the real Ron. I love all the wild cards floating around this story -- the trio going off on the hunt, Draco forming his own plans, and Narcissa still hovering around there in the background.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Young guys don't really know all the right spots and are just way too eager. Things will shape up soon. :)
I bet she'll know what's different with Ron next time Severus and she get close again. It seemed logical that she lost her virginity to him. I wonder if Severus will be disappointed in it, or if he will really prefer things to be that way.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
She finds out in the very next chapter! :) I think he'll be glad that she's not a virgin.
Love it, love it, lovely! Tee hee...poor Hermione though having Ron clobbering over her, while she really needs the "smooth" attentions of...who else but Severus! Go Severus, go! *brings out the pom-poms to root for him*...can't wait to see where Hermione's suspicions and the trio's plans take them next! Excellent!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Here's our cheerleader! LOL She'll eventually be glad to know the difference between the two. Teehee
Oh, man... I had to laugh at this part-- “Yeah, yeah… me too. Ooh, Hermione,” *shakes head*
Poor Hermione.
Well, at least we know it won't be hard to top...
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
~snerk~Not hard to top at all. LOL
[I'm such a smut puppy! I read this line, "Draco watched through narrowed eyes as his mother stirred Snape’s cauldron," and my brain went to a naughty place!]
A very believable first time for Hermione and Ron (loved his slip of the tongue). I love the impact of the last line.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
lol! I hadn't even thought about that. Muahaha... Yep, I wondered if anyone noticed Ron's tongue slip. Teehee
The scene between Hermione and Ron was delicately done. He didn't seem like a complete and utter oaf, just young and inexperienced. I loved the line where Ron asked Harry how he looked.
Looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thank you. That's exactly how I wanted to portray Ron and their coupling. Teehee. Thanks! I thought that would be something a boy might wonder about. Hehehe
“I’m going to fuck you until you beg me again.” Oh. My. God! Whew! I cannot wait to see what happens when Ron wakes! Or, when she wants to do that again! No smoothe slow moves for Ron. Loving this! so so much!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks so much. Yeah, she definitely notices that something's off right away.
Muahaha! I do love when Severus plans... Can't wait to see what happens once he gets there. Poor Narcissa!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks, Christy! Yeah, poor Cissy. She'll fare much better soon.
No, no, I promise you: I don't have any inkling of what's coming up! ;D
Good chapter!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
*grin*
“Do not try to deny that you’d rather be anywhere else other than in Severusss’ bed, Narcissa...
Severus closed his mouth and went over this tidbit of information. She wanted to be in his bed.
Severus would naturally infer that she wanted to be in his bed if Riddle told her not to try to pretend she'd rather be anywhere else. But by saying "Don't try to deny it" Riddle implies that he thinks she really would rather be anywhere else. Or is Severus making up his own mind about Narcissa's feelings, and is Riddle in fact pairing them up to reward Severus and to punish Narcissa at the same time, because he thinks she'll be unhappy sharing a bed with Snape? (I'll do it - pick me, pick me!)
“I will strive to grant you this one request, as it’s where I have failed you in the past.
Tom Riddle thinks he's far superior to everyone else, if not perfect - would he ever admit to having failed Severus? Unless this is just more of his sociopathic manipulation - trying to make Severus think he's grateful for all Snape's sacrifices made supposedly on Riddle's behalf.
The interplay of the Golden Trio hits just the right note, and I like especially your portrayal of Ron - not stupid, just young. So many fanfics make him out to be obnoxious and dumb, but here he's merely naïve, and rather touchingly sweet. Good job. Good chapter, sets things up nicely for the promised developments!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
This Tom Riddle is quite smooth. He does have his moments, but as he is in canon, the parts where he was talking to Dumbledore in the memories, I'd like to think he's a master manipulator. The best way to keep his "best follower" is to seemingly cater to him at times. The failure he's referring to is having to kill Lily (when for this story, it'll be that he was going to keep her alive as a gift for Severus back then). Glad you like the trio.
He simply had to make certain that it never happened again.
...That's all very well, but Severus Snape isn't writing this story, is he? Heh!
A very good tease, Southern, and another good chapter.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks for reading. I appreciate that!
True, I don't like Narcissa getting to have 'a go' with Severus, but I understand exactly how he must feel. He wanted to revenge himself for the way she used him.
Ron and Hermione's interlude seems quite sweet and sad, because I like Ron, and it appears you do too - clueless teenage boy that he is, he's got a good heart and is full of potential. But Severus Snape just seems to share so much more in common with Hermione.
Good beginning.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
I try to be fair with Ron in this story. I hope that I can keep it up till the end. :)
Teehee! I wonder how the talk between Hermione and Ron will go! Looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Thanks for reading, doll!
“I’m going to fuck you until you beg me again.”
(fans self) Whew - I wonder if Hermione will realize that that doesn't sound like Ron!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Teehee. I love Snape at times. I have some good parts written with him for other chapters. You'll see what I mean when I get to him. Snerk
Hmm, Snape appears to be softening up. Or, this might be the real him and the crueler Snape was how he reacted to the extreme pressure of having to kill Dumbledore. I love the way you're keeping it ambiguous as to what his loyalties are.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Yeah, he's a bit more easy going with his peers, as I've seen him be in canon. In the beginning, he was just so wound up over what he'd done, and now, he's trying to concentrate on doing his own thing. :)
"He needs to be comfortable and to think he’s sneaking about. It’s the only way to catch the slimy git at his own game." Too true!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Flight of the Prince)
Uhhuh. Harry's got a good plan here. It will definitely end up "busting" Snape.
