Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Not clumsy at all...so, no worries there
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! Judging from responses like this, it's not that I'm clumsy at romance, just that I don't feel confident or comfortable writing it.
Very amusing kissing scene!
I'm liking this story more and more as I read on...
And Kudos to Hermione for putting Harry in his place...the boy can be extremely selfish and single-minded sometimes.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Glad you thought so!As for Harry, what can I say? He's a teenage boy, and rarely thinks before he acts/speaks.
thank god you are planning more, of i would have to hurt you...lol
love it!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Er, thanks, I think...Glad you enjoyed it.
Clever way of hiding Ollivanders! And I really liked the way Hermione handled Scrimgeour ;-)
I've only read one fic that involved necromancers - and that was quite some time ago - so I am really interested in seeing what that is all about.
Just one thing - at the end, weren't the Aurors meant to be standing like lemmings instead of lemons?
I am thoroughly enjoying this fic and I cannot wait to see how Severus' whole 'seduction' goes...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Scrimgeour deserved what he got, that's true.Ah, so someone else has encountered a necromancer fic. I know they do exist.Lemmings in popular culture hurl themselves from cliffs, while lemons stay still, like the Aurors were doing. So if they'd moved to attack, it would have been lemmings. But they didn't, so it was lemons. You get to read it complete, so I hope you enjoy.

"Lemmings in popular culture hurl themselves from cliffs, while lemons stay still..."
Ahh, now I get it! Excellent analogy when looked at from the intended perspective ;-)
I plan to continue reading tonight...
These first two chapters have me hooked! Very interesting and quite unique so far...
Wonderful work...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you, read on!
I liked the story. Good writing. But feel totally jipped by the ending.
Be warned!! Matrix type ending. Sequel...maybe...if I feel like it.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
But unlike the Matrix, the sequel will have a happy ending. At least in comparison to this! I'm glad you enjoyed the story, if not the ending.
:'( *cries* OMG, that is so sad! Maybe it wasnt such a good idea to listen to brian adams - heaven whilst i read this chapter...:) Can't wait for the sequel though! :)And yes, you are very evil! How could you do that?! ~Sarah
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
You should be careful with what you listen to, that's true. Music sometimes does meddle with emotions...It would be nice to have enough time and inspiration to write the sequel now, but that is about as likely as JKR writing Hermione and Severus as a pairing in the 7th book. Fear not, this won't be the last you see of my writing. I hope to get up some unrelated fics in the meantime. How could I do that? Quite easily, although I found killing off a main character a little traumatic. That made writing the last scene a tad difficult! And evil should be my middle name, if not my first. Bear in mind that of the multiple endings I dreamt up, this wasn't the worst in terms of character death.
Response from Sorceress_Sarah (Reviewer)
Well i'm just glad you want to do a sequel. Even if it means i'll have to wait a year or so... Hmm... JKR writing a SS/HG pairing in HP7... Now, although that would be extremly nice for us HG/SS shippers, i also doubt she'll be writing that anytime soon... or ever...Well, at least you can admitt you're evil, i spose that's a good thing...I love the way you write by the way!~Sarah
Though you were evil, it was extremely brilliant. The best chapter ever! A sequel in a year or two?? I shall go crazy! I'm glad you let Severus live. In my fic, Love Does Not Stop For Death, I didn't allow him to live. Well, I anxiously wait for the sequel.
Cheers,

You make me sound like Ron's description of Hermione, with evil instead of scary. When the sequel gets written depends on the amount of free time real life leaves me and whatever crumbs my muse throws at me. Unrelated fics should be forthcoming in the interval. My beta was of the opinion that Hermione doesn't die enough in fanfic when I asked her about using my favoured ending (the one used in this, as it happens). There were other options, some even eviller. Thanks for all of your many reviews!
Oh, what a truly evil ending. The end of this story has been fast and furious. And the twist at the end with the 'untested' spell backfiring was just beautiful. I bet Severus really kicked himself over that for not thinking of there would be that sort of feedback.
Hopefully we'll see the sequel sooner rather than later, but this was wonderfully well done and so different from other stuff that I have seen.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Yup, that's me: truly evil.Spells that are recorded as untested are that for a reason, yet without it Severus might not have lived to kick himself.Thank you for your reviews and not least for being the admin for the majority of this fic! I hope my muse cooperates and allows the sequel to be written sooner rather than later as well, but that is rather out of my control. Other, unrelated stories should be up in the interval.
Response from phoenix (Reviewer)
Oh, I know the feeling of being at the mercy of the muses. Mine decided to take a late summer vacation and have abandoned me most of September. And I have so many ideas right now that I'm trying ot prioritize them to get something done. :D Take your time and I look forward to your other stories.
Oh my, you've got balls. You want to get flayed alive by your readers, don't you? Well the outlook for a sequel is somewhat pacifying, but you shouldn't have mentioned the wait of one or two years. :(I have to admit, this end seems to be the right conclusion of this story, though I would have liked a happy end better. With her powers Hermione would never have been able to live in peace. Everybody would learn of them and shun her. Imagine the outrage of Hogsmead's inhabitants - after the first euphoria of the victory - for disturbing the rest of their loved ones.Nevertheless, I still hope for a happy end for our couple in your sequel. Until then I hope Severus wears Hermione's engangement ring, as a last connection to her.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Well, being flayed alive was not really my goal here... but the ending I chose was one from several, and was not the most tragic. As for the 1-2 year wait, that was only fair to say as much as I will be pretty busy as a uni student. But I do plan to have other, unrelated fics up before then.Yup, you got the drift. Very few people would have accepted Hermione had she survived. This way, I imagine that even the Ministry would honour her.
Response from nighthawk (Reviewer)
"Well, being flayed alive was not really my goal here..." Oh well, I might restrain myself. No really, it is just a shock to see such an end. It is still a well written story and as I said, the end is fitting. I hope to read more of your stories.
Oh gods, evil, yet uplifting, ending!!! I sincerely hope it doesn't take you "a year or two" to write the sequel. .
In any case, excellent story! I look forward to reading other writings by you
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Uplifting? I knew it was bittersweet, but uplifting? Thanks! I hope it doesn't take that long for the sequel too, but I'm at the mercy of time and inspiration.Thank you! I look forward to writing them.
yay! a sequel... i can't wait.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Hold in there, as I can't promise to write it soon, as my free time is rather limited now. Studying fanfic is not an option!
*speechlesss* can't really comment except that this reader is overwhelmed by angst. WEll, she IS a true Gryffindor. *cant believe it's over*
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
It's over, in that there will be a sequel... eventually! Maybe a sequel with a happy ending if you're very lucky.
OMFG...UPDATE THIS STORY NOW...I AM IN TEARS HERE...OH PLEASE...PLEASE PLEASE...SHE CAN'T BE DEAD...I AM A MESS I AM HERE IN MY JAMMIES, SIPPING TEA AND CRYING IN MY KLEENEX BOX...OH PLEASE UPDATE...SHE CANNOT BE DEAD...SHE JUST CAN'T BE...I AM NOT GOING TO MOVE FROM MY SEAT UNTIL I GET AN UPDATE...LOL...SO PLEASE HURRY...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Sorry about your kleenex! But I'm afraid she is dead. Bear in mind that she's come back from the dead once before, and that the engagement ring doesn't glow if either of the affianced are dead. To say it for definite, and not just to hint at it: Hermione will be back... in the sequel. This story is complete, so you might want to consider moving, else you will be very stiff by the time the sequel is out!I'll be writing more upbeat things in the meantime!
Bitter-sweet ending...well, the story isn't marked as finished, so I can't help but hope for one more chapter, or an epilogue. Thanks for having shared it with us.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Um, sorry to break it to you, but I've just marked it as complete. It'll take a lot for me to be convinced to write an epilogue, as I am content with where I left this. Perhaps I'll eventually post a teaser or trailer for the sequel...
Who wants a happy ending when we can have more chaptors. That would be better. Why end it at all. I am trying to stall your evil side. Well I hope you update soon. Thanks . Bill
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Finite Incantatem = The EndSo no more chapters. Even an epilogue is unlikely, although I might be persuaded to post a teaser for the sequel long before that's done.Stories that have sequels don't exactly have ends, so please be patient!I'll have other, shorter things up in the meantime.
Response from medicdaddy (Reviewer)
See I was so caught up reading that I didnt se the ending comming. Bo hiss. lol. Well I hope to read more of your storys soon. In the mean time I hope the real world dont trap you there as I have found my self in it to much as of late. Again keep up the good work. Bill
I eagerly look forward to reading your sequel. Please write quickly! Don't leave us hanging!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I'll write as soon as I can, allowing for inspiration levels and free time, not to mention other irritating little rabid plot bunnies that may divert me temporarily.Fancy a teaser for the sequel as a sort of epilogue for this?
Response from whitesilence (Reviewer)
Yes, please! How could I not?
Be patient you say...
Oh you are truly not right. Leaving it there. Get started on the sequel.
lol
Hubby just got home from work. Told him you've updated. But I think he's not going to be very happy with you by ending it here.
Onto other things.
Thank you for a wonderful story. Very enjoyable. Waiting for more stories.
Patty
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I have some plot details worked out for the sequel, but it's not ready to write yet. What d'you say to a teaser of the sequel as an epilogue to this?Thank you for reviewing consistently! I'm glad you enjoyed my first foray into Harry Potter fanfic.I'll probably be doing some upbeat short fics before Christmas, including something for the Severus/Hermione gift exchange. So hang in there.
Response from pickles (Reviewer)
Sounds agreeable.

Well that ending makes me glad I read all the story so far today and only have to wait for tomorrow. Gives me something to look forward to! Maybe Harry will play hero (like he was meant to) and jump in front of Sevy. Don't care if he dies or Ron for that matter but I will send a lynch mob after you should you kill Severus off!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Well, read on, then decide whether or not you need to send a lynch mob!
Wow...wow. That is good, very, very, very, very good!! I am dying for the next chapter!! Cannot wait!!! Update soon!!!!
Cheers,

Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I'm glad you think so, although I'm surprised that no raging mobs are heading my way considering the chapter ended with an AK let loose at Severus.Last chappie is in the queue and should be up by Friday. Hopefully.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS SSSSSSOOOOOOOOO EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please update soon *innocent look*~Sarah
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I know. Muwhahahhahahahahahhahahaha! You ain't seen nothing yet!Next chapter is in the validation queue, just bear with the holding rules and the admin(s). It should only be a couple of days, if your nails can withstand the wait.
*runs around screaming* eeeee
Thank goodness the next chapter is already in the queue! I'm breathless here.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I know the feeling, having read fics with cliffhangers myself. And end chapter 23 is my most evil cliffie, methinks. I would apologise, but I think it serves its purpose.Hopefully the last chapter will be up by Friday.
What a very very mean and nasty way to stop a chaptor. Now I cant wait to see who did Severis Place that reversing curse on. If Herminy has one on Old Snake Face, then Severus has to also have one on someone. I know I know just wait like everyone else. Well OK until then. Bill PS Pickles didn't tell me you update. She is so mean.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
What if I told you that reversing curse is a Necromancer only special?
Evil, Evil, Evil...Still a good story.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks, I am very aware of that! But I'm not as evil as I could be- I could have left it closed, with no opening for a sequel. Glad you liked it anyway, despite the unhappy ending.
Okay, I'm keeping them back, but only because I see the next chapter is in the queue
cliffies - I can do without the stress
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Um, thanks, I think... hopefully the next chapter will be up soon. Then you can let those raging mobs loose.
