Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Chapter 6 is in queue, and I'm in the process of writing Chapter 12. I can't see being able to finish the story before Chapter 20, either, so you've quite a few more yet to come.
love your story. please update soon!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you, glad you do. Chapter 6 is in the validation queue.
Thinking that this chapter is starting to flush out the story.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Aye, that it does. Any self respecting Dark Lord would want their own pet necromancer.
A Necromancer...that's scary! At first I thought she was saved by the Muggles and CPR, but this turn is very interesting.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Scary and Hermione seem to go together well.If she had been saved by the Muggles, this story would be a lot shorter.
EXCELLENT CHAPTER. I can't wait till Hermione is back at Hogwarts.
Response from loony_old_fan (Reviewer)
Dang I forgot to put my rating for this five stars.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Oh good. I'm forgiven for chapter 3 then?Hermione will be back at Hogwarts at the end of the next chapter, which is currently lurking at the back of the validation queue.Thank you! Don't worry about it- I don't want one of my loyal reviewers to get a headache, even metaphorically.
WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!Where's the next chapter????? Cheers,

I'm glad that you like this so much.Next chapter is in the queue (I am attempting not to catch up with my writing until it's complete, so it's only one chapter at a time in the queue.)
LOL, I would have cheered if Nagini had eaten Wormtail! And Bella's insult towards Snape ('even a hag would turn him down!') had me in stitches. Poor man, he just don't get no respect. Clever of Snape to get himself out of doing the bidding of the Unbreakable Vow. I wonder what will happen next...?
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I was tempted to let Nagini eat him, but I'd hate to give the poor snake indigestion. Cruelty to animals and all.Just as well for poor old Snape that Bella obviously knows next to nothing about necromancers, eh.As to what next, it's hardly a secret that Hogwarts will house a necromancer.
WOW! That was a quick update! A necromancer? This is getting more and more interesting by the chapter! I can't wait to see what our dear professor says and how he reacts! Update soon! I know, I'm greedy, I just can't get enough of this story! Cheers,

I'm happy that you like my ickle story(or not so ickle; currently on 21, 651 words, and quite possibly not even half way through.)As for what Snape (I assume you meant him, not Dumbledore...) he'll soon have more than just necromancer!Hermione on his plate.
This is a wonderful story with an interesting plot, but I have a question about something that was written in the 3rd chapter: when you wrote that "Any Minister for Magic is duty bound to execute anyone suspected of being in contact to necromancy as a precaution," did you any Minister elected in Britian or all minister around thw world?
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I meant it as the British Minister, but any Ministry not corrupted by dark magic would have the same requirement.I'm glad you like this story, I just hope I can keep it interesting.
Could you please give more detail about the necromancy. More info on this would help with the build up for the suspence. Or even little side note with definition as referenced by this story.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I thought building up the suspense could go either way. The 'less is more' approach, you know. Less information now means that there will be more surprises later.Rest assured that there will be further details later. At the moment Hermione can't control her new powers, so must learn how first. If the demand is high enough, I'll include more information as an author's note.
Response from ccrawley10 (Reviewer)
Okay, thank you.
What about CPR? I know it can't bring back dead-dead people but depending on how fast the ambulance was there...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
She was dead-dead.But funny that you should mention this, my beta brought it up too as an option for a parody of this story, where everyone thinks that Hermione is a necromancer because the Magical world has out of date knowledge concerning Muggle technology like defibrillators. Not that I'll do anything with the concept, at least not before finishing this story first.
Response from whitesilence (Reviewer)
It's probably too late but maybe you should have a line where Hermione's freaking out and asks if they used CPR on her...
"Its always about POTTER!!!!! ALWAYS POTTER!" he is such a dumb ass and i always notice this to be always true, Oh it makes me want to hit him in the face..damn it always about the potter kid!..
Anyway great chapter and it does explain somewhat..right now i see Dumbledore EVIL!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Well, always Potter except with this story. I may use his perspective, but he's not really a main character.Dumbledore is scared, not evil. Honest. He's just had experiences with another necromancer before.
Ouch. Poor Hermione. Hopefully, she'll get through it.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
She's a tough one. I assure you, she will survive with mental facilities intact until the end of the story.
This is getting quite interesting. I've been reading since the first post. Love it so far. I can't wait to see how ol' Snape reacts to this. Or what Snape knows...hmmm...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I'm glad you like this so much! The next question to be asked is not what Snape knows but what Voldemort knows...
These first few chapters are very intriguing and I'm hooked. Want to see where you are taking this . . . and them!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks. I find that the story is almost growing by itself. It's already longer than I'd originally intended (not the chapters posted, but the chapters written)
Very, very, very brilliant!!!! Absolutely cannot wait for the next chapter, which I hope will be up very soon, right??? Love it! Cheers,

Glad you liked it! Er, define 'very soon'. It is written, betaed and in the validation queue.
Response from DeathSong (Reviewer)
That counts as being 'very soon'! Cheers,Deathsong
Great start; I have to agree that the Krum cover was a good plot device. There was a bit of a slipup in this chapter--you have Hermione crashing on her way to St. Mungo's, not King's Cross. Beware of making your Snape too soft and sloppy--while the situation is stressful, the man has been a spy since before Hermione was born. The detention would be a good place to make up for it. Looking forward to the next!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Agh! Both me, my beta and the admin missed that. As a new author, I'm not sure if I can correct that without knocking the chapter out of place. Anyhow, thanks for pointing that out.I am endeavouring to keep Snape in character- just don't judge him too much by his interactions with Hermione on her own in forthcoming chapters.Yes, Snape has a lot of experience spying, but just to be pedantic: Hermione was born in 1979, Snape is thought to have become a Death Eater the same year. Precisely when he turned spy for Dumbledore is not known, but is thought to have been in 1980, after he overheard part of the prophecy. (Full details on the Harry Potter Lexicon). As for Harry's detention, that will be mentioned in Chapter 8, but not in much detail- Harry is not the focus of this story, however amusing it may be to see him suffer through detention.
Response from enchanter (Reviewer)
Haha, I had a feeling when I wrote that that I should maybe do the math but went ahead and said it anyway... glad this is in your hands and not mine! :D
That's one question answered, only the rest left for me to ponder...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
And that's if I don't raise more than I answer...
That bit about Krum's letters is a great plot device. I look forward to reading the next chapter.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! It suddenly dawned on me as a method for bringing Snape and Hermione closer. In the books she's only seen replying to them, and the boys don't see what she writes.Chapter 3 coming soon.
Now I'm very curious! Very well written!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you. I hope I can satisfy your curiosity by the end of the story. Although it is tempting to have an ending that will raise more questions...
Keep the chapters coming.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Will do. Chapter 3 is in the validation queue.
Another brill chapter! I hope the next one gets validated soon.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! I must be doing something right as you're not the only one to express similar hopes.
Evil cliffhanger, but again, a wonderful installment. Please don't keep us in suspense too long before the next crumb.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Chapter 2 is in the validation queue, and I have almost finished writing Chapter 9. The only delays are the waiting periods for the admins to validate the chapters as I post them.Cliffhangers are a strange thing. As an author, I barely notice that they are there, but when I'm reading someone elses story, they are torture. Sorry!Glad you liked it, despite the cliffie.
An auspicious beginning. Can't wait to see where you're going with this.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you! I hope to have at least one chapter up per week, so bear with me.
Evil little cliffy again. I wish I would only find these stories after they are finished. So you must update soon.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
My sentiments exactly! And then the author abandons the story... If I do that, you have my full permission to set Fluffy on me.I'm intending to remain several chapters ahead of what has been submitted; Chapter 2 is waiting to be validated and I'm in the process of writing Chapter 9.
