Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Still.. not one hundread percent sure as to what her powers will be. Will it change her appearance? Oh how the mind doth wonder.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
You'll see! Glad I've got you wondering.
Hmm.. I don't find that too far fetched for Albus. Now I would love to hear more about Necromancy. What has Hermione unleashed in herself?
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
You'll hear more as the story unfolds... That is a very good question.
Severus dear, you're slipping. To allow anyone to see anything but your scowl.. your poker face, tsk, tsk. Not like you at all.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Poor thing is well aware of it too!
Hmm.. what is it that has our favorite professors so worried. For her miraculous survival.. could it have been Voldemort who got to her first? Interesting.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! Read on and find out...
This was a new scene for me. I have never come across the Grangers perishing in a situation as muggle as a car accident. Thank you for the original idea.. poor 'Mione. At this point one can only hope she's strong.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! Death by car crash has happened before (or at least been mentioned in other fics), but it is more usual to have them being killed by Death Eaters.
Poor 'Mione indeed!
bloodly good thing you're doing a sequal or i might have to hurt you or at least curse all your chocolate to have raisins!! i'm starting the sequel immediately. however, it was a very well crafted story. thanks
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks, I think! (nervously glances at chocolate, then at how much is already written of the sequel and hopes what little is there will appease the mob)
Ahah! SING! Having never taken a personal defence class, I only recognise the move from Miss Congeniality. Meh, media is obviously good for something.Excellent work, btw. I'm off to read more!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
That it is. I don't know if they teach that move, having picked it up on the grapevine.Thank you! Enjoy the rest.
Great story. Very emotional. I can just see the end in my mind. Looking forward to the next part.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you! The follow up to this, Tabula Rasa (not the real sequel, that will follow in due course) is complete in five parts, or will be when chapter 5 clears the validation queue.
I never read sex scenes, because I usually find them boring, but yours was wonderful. For what it's worth, I have troubles writing them as well.
Overall, I've really been loving this story. It's excellent!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you! Whenever I get to a sex scene, the urge to fade out or refer to them in passing is overwhelming, which is why I write so few of them.
Hahaha. Hermione knows how to SING. That's amazing.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! It is a Muggle trick, after all...
Well, wasn't that quite the twist! It was a wonderful story though and I'll be faithfully waiting for that sequel. Please please say you've started writing it, I can't wait to see what happens!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you!
I'm in the process of writing the sort of sequel, Tabula Rasa. I'd be lying if I said I'm only on the planning stage of the real sequel though. I have written what probably amounts to the first chapter, but it's nowhere near ready for posting yet. I do hope to have it finished by the time book 7 comes out though.
Response from Sam (Reviewer)
Well, at least I know it will be worth the wait. =D
Oh, you ARE so evil. That was such a great story, but I was disappointed with the ending. I'm such a sucker for those happy endings, especially when it comes to Snape and Hermione. I hope your sequel brings her back.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
I'm a sucker for happy endings too. I'm glad that you thought this was a great story even with the ending. I can say that the sequel(s if Tabula Rasa counts) are SS/HG, and Snape isn't into necrophilia. Not that he has a body to do that with anyway...
Ok, there were at least two hints for your hope there. I'm not giving a third!
pish posh *giggle* always wanted to say that...but you are doing excellently with the romantic scenes. very in character severus with just enough emotion let out to believable. beautifully written. i know my own severus isn't nearly as 3D as yours. bravo!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
That's very good to know. I don't find Severus the easiest of characters to write, so it's quite the compliment to know that you think I've got him IC.
i have not yet begun to read the actual story and yet i can already tell i'm going to like this one... :D
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
That's impressive, thank you! I hope it lives up to your expectations by the time you've read all of it.
Response from sandstar08 (Reviewer)
let me put it this way... i'm on chapter 7, show no signs of stopping anytime soon, and my essay for tuesday is still waiting to be started. *grin*
*cries*Such a sad ending, but that's not a bad thing I don't think. Sappy endings sometimes give me toothache =DIt was a pleasure to read and I'm looking forward to reading the sequel!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
(I'm sure I have a box of tissues somewhere...)Sad ending though it is, at least it won't rot your teeth! I'll do my best to avoid sappy with the sequel's ending, although how easy I'll find that when aiming for a happier ending I don't know. Thanks for reviewing!
very well written story, even though I'm a big sucker for happy endings, waiting for the sequal.PS may I pretty please use the comment about the pitchfork and the horns? (a little modyfied though), I'm in the process of writing my own first fanfic though i don't know if it will ever be finished or posted, but im asking anyway. DS
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you! I'm quite flattered that you do want to use that line, as it was just something random that occurred to me to use to bolster that foul mouthed episode of Hermione's. Feel free, although please acknowledge where you got it from if you do manage to get it to the posting stage. Good luck!
I enjoyed this very much. Thanks for not candy-coating the ending.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Glad you did! While I do like happy endings myself, too sappy endings make my teeth ache... and this ending seemed to fit the story while leaving an opening for a sequel (although that probably will have a happy ending, so consider yourself warned, although I don't think I'd manage to write a truly sappy ending).
Ah you can't leave me like that you evil, evil woman. I loved every second of this story and found it surprisingly original. Well done!!! Please hurry up with that sequel and raise Hermione from the dead. Perhaps she never really died, I shall leave it up to you. Cheers, Sonia
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
It's a sorry state of affairs if it's surprising that fanfic can be original.Even I'm not that evil! Admittedly, it might be a little difficult to write the sequel from beyond the grave, but I'll do my best to get it done eventually.I'm thinking that the sequel will likely be shorter than this (and it almost definitely will be if I want to complete it before Book 7 comes out). It's no real secret that Hermione is once again resurrected, but when she atomised Voldy, she also atomised herself... so she was even deader than dead, if that's possible. Plus if she hadn't died, it would be even crueller on poor Severus- the sequel takes place 5 years after Redivivus, with no sign of her in the interval. Mmm, better seal my lips before I let any more plot details escape!
Response from sbrande (Reviewer)
Please let me know when you start posting... Or better yet, just let WIKTT ot WIKTTmisc. Cheers, Sonia
Thank you !! This story is truly a masterpiece! The way you developed the characters beyond the originals and your use of language are so outstanding in my mind -- please grant us a sequel !!!!

I'm glad you think so!As for the sequel, it's still very much in the planning stages, but it will be up one day. I'm wondering if I should try to have it completed before Book 7 comes out, just in case that kills off my muse. I hope that I can manage to write it to be as good as this...
Response from Homunculus (Reviewer)
Yes, you never know what JKR has in mind for Book 7 - I'm afraid she won't have much compassion on the Potions Master, but who knows...I like your Redivivus particularly due to the fact that you didn't try to make the characters "smoother" or more "handy" in order to serve the plot. Quite to the contrary, the story is taking the reader into the darker, rougher spheres of the protagonists's souls without ever losing the coherence and also, without taking back the tempo. The ending is rough, sad, and brilliant! Concluding, I want to remark that I'm not an English native speaker (but studying English) and that I've learned about 5 dozens of new, most useful vocabularies while reading your Redvivus... so here's another Thank You! In case you do come to write and post a sequel, I will be loving to read and review!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
AHHHH!!! That's a horrible cliffhanger, in that way that it sort of makes me want to light incense in front of whatever shrine is set up to your muse to make you start it now. I found this over on Ashwinder, and had to read it. It was definately worth it, as this is one of the more original concepts that I've seen. Did you get the idea of the book reading Hermione from Sabriel? I could be wrong, but it sounded familiar....
Anyway, keep up the writing, and I hope to see more soon!
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Still planning the sequel, I'm afraid (those snippets I've written for the prologue/first chapter don't count, as I don't intend to post until it's either complete or well on the way to being so)The Book (and its ability to read people) was indeed inspired from Sabriel, however much I tried to keep bits of Garth Nix's necromancy from appearing.I don't blame you for nipping over here from Ashwinder, as even if I had been posting both at the same time, it seems that things get updated quicker here.Maybe a shrine would improve my levels of inspiration, but short of a Time Turner, there's no way of increasing the time I have to write. Thanks for reviewing! I've written something for the Severus/Hermione gift exchange, but as I can't post that until the big reveal, the third fic I write will likely be the second posted.
I saw this on SH so I popped over here... That made me cry! I can't wait for the sequel; I know it will be equally awesome. :tosses cookies and plushie Snapes at your muse:-

You did mention that you would pop over. Unable to resist the lure of a completely posted fic, eh?While I don't like unhappy endings myself, I do seem to have managed to write one. There does seem to be high demand and expectations for the sequel, which is still very much in the planning stages. I only hope that it can live up to 'awesome' when I manage to write it.I might get a prequel done soon... Any interest in the start of Hermione and Snape's correspondence?Plushie Snape must be the only way that he can be described as cute...Thanks for reviewing!
I'm enjoying this a lot, and got a huge chuckle out of her RoR mistake.
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks! I wondered if anyone would comment on that. Be careful what you wish for and all...
GAH! Endings that aren't really endings are not my kind of endings.
I loved this entire story. The A/Ns along the way point out that this was your first time dealing with certain types of scenes. I think you carried them quite well. Sometimes they can be awkward, but you managed to avoid that.
I can't wait for the sequel...
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thank you! They're not my kind of endings either, really. Despite having written one!I'm glad you think I managed to avoid awkwardness. As for the sequel, I'd love to have the time (and inspiration) to write it right now, but I have little of either. Hopefully I'll have enough of them to write a few short fics in the interval...
Response from CharmedForce (Reviewer)
Ah, that fickle muse. I am jealous that you actually managed to finish one. I have one that I have been working on for some time. The only way I have managed to get this much done was through my friend. She is a most excellent nagger. Text messages at all hours of the day telling me to hurry up and finish the effing fic always do wonders for the muse...
I will keep an eye out for more of your stories and updates.
Excellent story!
I am all for happy endings, so naturally, I was disappointed and saddened that Hermione didn't survive...but, you're plans for a sequel make it bearable, since a happy ending is still possible.
Looking forward to reading the sequel when you start working on it :-)
Response from ayerf (Author of Redivivus)
Thanks!I, too, like happy endings. But a happy ending didn't feel right for this story. With the sequel (when I eventually manage to have time and inspiration enough to write it) it should be fine to have a happy ending.
