Right. I would like to state, for the record, that I WILL finish "She Married Her Choice". I will. Assuming I am in control of my own destiny and accomplishments, that is. ;-)
Unfortunately, real life (mainly an attention craving three-year-old) and inspiration have been keeping me from creative endeavors for a while now. I do foresee a time when that shall pass, but until then, I ask for your patience.
Thank you!
Reviews for She Married Her Choice
I honestly thing that Hermione is taking on too much responsibilities for Severus' feelings. He's a grown man who has lied and manipulated her but gets put out when she confesses having nightmares staring him? I would have them too. He really hasn't earned her trust. Sure she knows that he will protect her but that is really for himself as well so he gets what he wants not because he actually cares about her. Or at least that is the gist I have gotten from this whole story. Kind of disappointing really seeing her feel guilty for being herself when he has shown little or no remorse for his own actions
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
I think she's responding as much to the guilt of seeing herself as the bad guy, both in her dream and in her peers' eyes, as she is to how Severus reacted. She hasn't let Severus off the hook nor will she until he shows her how he feels a little more blatantly than he has so far. It's one of the reasons she doesn't want to see him, just in case the mere sight of him reignites her anger and she accidentally decapitates him or something.
I think another reason for her guilt is that she hasn't been herself lately, and she's upset over that.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Oh, Avery! That was such a good chapter! I thoroughly enjoyed it. :) I'm so glad that Hermione seems to have made some progress in dealing with everything. Although I think that it was rotten for her to send Snape a note rather than tell him to his face. She owed him a bit more than that, I think. But I can see her being afraid as well. Young and dumb and I've always thought. ;) I look forward to more. Thank you, you made my day! ~Gin

Thank you! I was tempted to actually notify you personally, as I didn't want you to suffer any serious damage from withdrawal. ;-) Yes, Hermione does owe Snape a bit more than a note (but at least she addressed him as "Dear Severus"), just as Snape owes her more than the cold shoulder. They'll work it out. They'll have to. (mwahaha!)
And beyond being young and dumb, remember that Hermione is still a bit shellshocked. She'll get over that pretty quickly now, though.
Thank you for the review, sweetie! You've made my evening!
My goodness, but it was great to see Snape like this. It feels like he and Hermione have been knocking heads forEVER. She's still angry with him, but charmed by her husband -- until he ganged up on her with Lucius and laughed at her. She *is* just a girl, so it makes perfect sense that she would be hurt by the teasing.
It was such a lovely, short wait between your chapters; I feel guilty that I haven't turned my latest into my beta, now. I'm glad your Muse is home and cooperating.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
It was a lot of fun writing Snape like this! Hermione and Snape will still knock heads, but pretty soon the last major road block will be revealed (I'm just building up to that in the current chapter I'm writing), and, although it'll be a difficult process, they will eventually make serious progress.
Not only is she just a girl, but she's still seriously unnerved by Lucius. Scared, even. To see Snape ganging up with him (his sworn enemy!) against her... I'd be furious if I were in her place.
Hopefully the wait between this and next chapter will be short as well! The current chapter I'm working on is... intense (read: dark), and I'd like to stay a chapter ahead so that I can at least offer hope of light in the near future.
Thank you, my deay

! I always love hearing from you!
Avery, that was an excellent chapter! I just loved the way that everything played out! :D From the way that Severus put his arm around Hermione when he realized that she was listening to him when he was arguing with Lucius to when she was taking advantage of him having taken the Calming Draught to Snape royally blowing it with the SPEW comments. ROFLMAO! Oh my word... no wonder Snape isn't going to be around in the next chapter. *snerk*
Despite everything, it seems that some headway has been made here... I look forward to the next chapter, Avery! :D
~Ginny
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you, Ginny! Snape really did blow it with his SPEW comments, although she might have been willing to shrug it off (maybe even laugh it off) had he not been quite so chummy with Lucius about it.
Even though Hermione is royally pissed off, you're right, headway has been made. And chapter 11, though definitely the darkest chapter of the lot, will actually be the crucial turning point. (Yay! Progress!)
Hopefully I'll be able to update soon. I really want to get chapter 11 finished before posting 10, though (once it comes back from the beta's.)
Cheers!
i really liked this chapter at first and now I am afraid that more angst is in store. can she not just try to be more mature abou things instead of always running off to trouble? please
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yes, I'm afraid you are correct. Next chapter isn't so angsty, but the chapter after that is actually pretty dark, though I promise that's actually a good thing.
I can promise she's not running off to trouble. At least not trouble of the sort she's been having the past week or so. She's just getting away from Snape before she damages him or their relationship more than has already been done.
Thanks for reviewing!
Poor Hermione - I would've done the same thing. Although I probably would have had tears in my eyes. I wonder if Severus is going to try to make it up to her - even if he is back to normal? Will Hermione even accept his "peace offering" if he does offer one?I can't wait to find out. I want to know what happens between Severus and Hermione now, but I have to wait. Please, update again soon!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Oh, I definitely would have had tears in my eyes! She might have as well, but she isn't going to shed them, yet. Severus will be back to normal fairly quickly, and he's definitely going to try and make it up to her, though she'll have some make-up to do as well (which makes her far more likely to accept any peace offerings, should they come her way).
Chapter 10 is at the beta's, and chapter 11 is coming along, so hopefully I'll be able to update really quickly! Thanks for reviewing!
That was a wonderful chapter. I especially like the Martin the Mad Muggle line and Protective! Snape was lovely. Excellent! warty xxx
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked that line. I thought it was rather silly. =) Snape is very protective of Hermione, isn't he? Course, he better make sure he knows she can take care of herself.
Heh-heh! Loved this chapter, and the revelation about Hermione and the house-elf rebellion. Also glad that Severus finally gave Lucius the talking-to that he has needed. Nice opportunity for Hermione to eavesdrop effectively. And yay for Poppy and her attitude!! "Fear no Death Eater" is Poppy's motto. Thanks for the great fun!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Ooh, I'm glad! Yeah, The beans had to spill at some point about the rebellion... too bad (for her) Lucius was in the room when they did spill. As for Poppy, dealing with Snape for all those years, not to mention the string of Defense teachers, she's built up a resistance to the eviler-than-thou attitude. Thanks!
I'm with Hermione on this one...I'd prefer having the sharp edge out...
Now, update again...I want more!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yeah, me too. Think of the damage his backlash could wreak. *shudder* As for updating, I just sent ch. 10 off to Southern, so it won't be too long (though I want to write 11 before posting 10, I hope you understand.)
Thank you!
That was absolutely adorable. I think I'd like to borrow Severus under a Calming Draft, please. Can't wait for the next one! ~The Mistress
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Sigh... wouldn't he be fun? All the snark, none of the danger... sigh. Next chapter just went to the beta, so it shouldn't be too long (though I want to get the chapter 11 written before I post chapter 10). Yay!
Thank you!
Squeee! An update! I'm staying up way past my bedtime to read this... When I'm more awake I'll have to return and put in all of the quotes that I liked. I think most notably (b/c I already told you that I was amused with your story of the Force) is that Hermione started to quell some of her anger/frustrations with Severus... To be together here, they are both going to have to learn how to do that so that they can get along and stand being in the same room with one another. LOL!
Anyhow... loved the update. Thank you so much! I can't wait for the next bit... so glad that it's nearly done. :D
~Ginny
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you, Ginny! (I just love that sound on a computer screen!) Yes, Hermione is starting to quell some of her anger and frustration, but Snape isn't making it easy on her. Next chapter he'll get a good lesson on how to woo her, and what NOT to do. (heeheehee)
Yes, next bit will be along shortly, and I've got a decent start on the chapter after that, so hopefully there'll be updates galore in the next few weeks! =)
Glad to see the update. MOre soon please.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thanks. Very soon. Very, very soon.
Can you tell I couldn't wait until the chapters was up at Ashwinder?
I love the chapter. Althought I still don't know what to think about The Force...
Good to see that Severus and Hermione are at least in the same place. Now I hope they actually talk to each other for once.
BTW, I love the way you showed the difference of view from the first time Hermione had to endure all that trek being injured and in the dark to the easy if uncomfortable walk they did this time. Still not sure what was that place but now it sounds a lot more like some thing belonging to Hogwarts. ;)
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Hmm... the Force is just a bit of silliness, so don't put too much thought into it. I did put it in for another reason beyond being silly, an that will be revealed in a later chapter. It's not really central to the story, though, so don't worry about it.
Not only are S and H in the same place at the same time, but they WILL have a conversation, and *gasp* it won't even involve much yelling (at each other). Miracles, and all that.
Thank you so much, Maddy! I appreciate your reviews.
Ack! The room locked them all in! So what was Lucius doing in the room anyway - waiting for Severus? Does Dumbledore know nothing of the room? The house-elves? TBW, thanks for Dobby's promotion. It's natural for Hermione to still be afraid of those kitchens, but perhaps Dobby can change things for her... slowly... And nice to see Herione learning how to "manage" Severus, poor guy; not easy for him to be managed by a little thing like Hermione. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Damn room! LOL! Lucius wasn't in the room when Severus arrived. he was in the cavern. He'd been trapped in that room for more than a day, so he was getting desperate to get out.
As for Dumbledore... I think he knows of the room, but doesn't know the specifics, like the Room of Requirement. But the house-elves didn't know about it. The cover of the device wouldn't have been dusty if they had!
Hey, Dobby needed some reward! However, I don't know that even Dobby will be able to alleviate Hermione's newfound fear of house-elves. Though maybe with Itsy's help as well...
Next chapter has much more interaction between our loving couple, so hopefully you'll like it.
Thanks for the review, June! *smiles*
wonderful wonderful!please continue!!i wanna see them in love!!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thanks! I'm not abandoning this story, although RL does take presedence.
As for seeing them in love... that's going to take awhile, although you'll see a hint of how it'll be next chapter.
Cheers!
Ooh the dream was nicely done because he was out of character. I am very upset you won't be updating soon. :-( warty xxx
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thanks! I'm trying to work through the next chapter's problems as quickly as possible! Honest.
Argh...............I'll finish the review when you do another chapter.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Fair enough. =)
So where is Severus? Lucius?? Thanks for putting Dobby to bed for a rest - I was afraid Poppy had forgotten him on the floor while taking care of Hermione. Impetuous Hermione, probably going to scare Poppy when she wakes up and finds Hermy missing. Thanks for the update - chocolate Easter plot bunnies for Avery!!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
How about Harry and Ginny? The next chapter will answer some of your questions. Thanks for the chocolate. I think it might be finally hitting my system. =)
Had to read this and had no patientence to wait for the other site.NOOOO! I want more updates!!!Poor Hermione, it just keeps getting worse.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Patience... um, what's that again? I promise I'm working as fast as I can on the next chapter, but it's being a total bear. :( And as for Hermione, things will start improving very soon. :)
WoWoWoW! *wipes perspiration sheen off forehead* This is getting better by the chapter! I appreciate you are busy but *kneels in homage to the great averygoodun* PLEASE will you complete this fic and soon? *Sorry I'm watching Excalibur at the moment too*
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you! I will DEFINITELY finish this fic, it just might take awhile. I am working on it as often and as quickly as I can. I promise.
more please....as for the cliff...that's quite a cliff you have...can you please ease us down a bit...more please, soon?
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Sorry for the cliff, really I am (okay, I'm lying through my teeth), but it was the logical breaking place. Next chapter doesn't end on such a steep incline.
Response from queenp (Reviewer)
but the question becomes, when will you allow the slope of the next chapter to be read???When can you ease us from the peak of this cliff??? More, please, soon!!
The plot thickens.....Hurry and poke your muse into action. I'm gagging for the next gripping installment of....dum, dum, daaahhhhhh!...She Married Her Choice! Brilliant.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
You can stop gagging now!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Gack! Lucius!! Eeks! Can't the house-elves find Hermione if Severus asks them? Isn't anyone keeping track of where Lucius is? I do hope Hermione doesn't believe everything Lucius says, since he's obviously deluded. Can you kill off Lucius in this "short-ish" fic? And how the heck did she get out of this room....
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yep, Lucius. Gack, indeed! Well, at this point Severus doesn't really know Hermione is missing or in danger. Lucius is a slippery fellow. He "lost" his escort somewhere in the dungeons. Hermione will realize, once she's in a better frame of mind, that a lot of what Lucius said doesn't necessarily add up. He's not deluded, though. He knew exactly what he was doing and saying. Alas, I don't think I'll be killing him off, but I will take him down another notch. As for the room, it will be explored later. Thanks!
AHHH cliffie *lol*.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
LOL. Yep. Even I'll admit this was a cliffie. *wink*
I can't stop thinking about Lucius. You've captured him so perfectly in this chapter. Very well done.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you! He's such a slimy, poisonous toad that he's fun (if difficult) to write.
