Right. I would like to state, for the record, that I WILL finish "She Married Her Choice". I will. Assuming I am in control of my own destiny and accomplishments, that is. ;-)
Unfortunately, real life (mainly an attention craving three-year-old) and inspiration have been keeping me from creative endeavors for a while now. I do foresee a time when that shall pass, but until then, I ask for your patience.
Thank you!
Reviews for She Married Her Choice
Arians? LOL! Clever girl! I'm proud of you for continuing, so close to the release of DH, when we're all kind of reeling about and still finding our ways clear. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to read and review.
I was surprised and pleased at your decision to imbue Lucius with such a dose of humanity, though I wonder about Draco's smug/evil looks, and am suspicious of the reason he and Severus left Hermione and Teddy alone over Butterscotch. OMG, Avery, I WANT SOME!!!!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
LOL. Subtlety is not my middle name... Thank you for reviewing at all, my dear
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
!
I'm not a big fan of unalloyed evil in characters. Even with Voldemort it was a bit off-putting. So, while Lucius is most definitely a villain in this piece (and canon), I want to try to get across he's more of a flawed human than humanoid monster. But he is very flawed. As is his son.
If I find some, I'll send it over, shall I?
(already greatly looking forward to the next chapter) Hint! Hint! Very well done, even more intriguing the second time. Posted a lengthier comment at your LJ.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Hint taken and run with. Thank you!
Jealous SS is always fun to read. Walgren is an ass. The butterscotch bit was cute.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Jealous SS is fun to write, too. And I'm glad you think Walgren's an ass. He is.
Thank you!
Three months!!! Well, I wonder how Lucius will behave after he gets out. Nice to see Teddy working on Daphne and Blaise for the sake of Hermione's reputation, and that Teddy's friendship with her is still doing well. I'm curious about Walgren, and what his story is. Glad that Hermione invited Severus in, despite the lack of cuddling and deep conversation. Thank you for this new chapter!!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yes, I know. I'm sorry. This chapter gave me hell. Good news is that I have two more chapters written, and they only have to pass through the betas, so probably by next week there should be another chapter up!
Lucius will never be the same, that's for sure. Teddy is a nice guy. A nice guy who knows whose side to take.
Thank you for the review (even after I've been so remiss)!
Response from June W (Reviewer)
I'm just so happy to see you still writing this fic, after Potterdammerung aka DH.
Well, I still think Draco is in a good mood b/c he's going to have Lucius killed, and I think Severus is worried b/c HE thinks it's a bad idea and the time for random violence has passed.
Psychologically intricate chapter, thanks...hope to see more of developing SS/HG soon.
I do like your handling of minor characters, too. You give them complexity!
(PS. I'm very glad you didn't have a house fire!)

Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Now, why would you think that?
Thank you so much! There's not so much HG/SS in the next chapter, but the one after that is all about the two of the them interacting.
(I'm glad, too. Phew.)
I'm so pleased you have updated this. Keep up the great writing.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thanks! More will be coming soon.
Thanks for the update. I especially liked Teddy's peace offerings, and Daphne's crush. I'm curious what's up with Draco.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
You are most welcome! Thanks! *smiles*
We'll find out about Draco in a bit, but not immediately.
I really enjoyed this chapter. I can't wait for the pair to get a move on and possibly move back in together. I do ponder what Draco is about though.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thanks! I just hope it was worth the loooong delay.
I feel so sorry for Lucius, seeing him like that, sadden and defeated. I hope he learns from his mistakes. It is good to see Severus and Harmione slowly coming together. Draco is still cocky and little somewhat prejudice, but I think he is trying to come out of it. Teddy is just as polite and honorable and a gentleman...I think he has feelings for Hermione. Update soon.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Oh, I'm glad someone feels sorry for the bastard! He certainly will be a changed man after all this. Draco... yeah. He's got a ways to go yet. And whyever would you think Teddy has feelings for Hermione? It certainly wouldn't be very smart of him.
Thank you, and I will update very soon.
Response from Chocolate Chip (Reviewer)
I say, I think Teddy has feelings for Hermione because of the conversation, the holding hands and the nonverbal communication that he displays with his facial expression. I know that if he did have feelings for Hermione, he wouldn't come out and tell her, I think he would keep it hidden. If Severus ever found out, I think he would do damage and make Teddy's life at Hogwarts a living hell. Yes, that's our Severus, tall, dark, handsome and broding.
Fascinating chapter and well done with the court scene! What is up with Draco?? And I felt sorry for Lucius, even though he brought it on himself. Hmmmm. What *is* up with Draco? He set off my Muggle-ish alarm bells.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Muggle-ish alarms? How so?
(Oh, and thank you!)
Response from amsev (Reviewer)
I'm going to have to go back a few chapters and read up to the present. For some reason, he struck me as plotting something evil in this chapter (taking Hermione to a Pureblood establishment, the one point where he quickly hid his facial expression) He just stood out as a plotter for me.
Glad to see the update. Wondering what Draco is up to. Looking forward to more.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yes, sorry it's been so long. We'll find out about Draco in a bit, but there's some other stuff needs to happen first. More very soon, like maybe next weekend! *gasp*
Thank you!
So very curious to learn what has Severus lost in thought and why Draco is being so snarly with Lucius for. Lots of undercurrents flowing throughout.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Oh, a few undercurrents certainly! But I'll answer the Draco bit right now (since it was mentioned in previous chapters). He thinks Lucius killed Narcissa. Evidence certainly points that way, anyway.
Cheers!
I really enjoyed this chapter. Three months in prison should give Malfoy time to think (or plot!).
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Definitely. Of course, there's more than one Malfoy in the story... Thanks!
Woohoo! An update! Great as always... Looking forward to the next chapter. Cheers!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you! More coming soon (possibly even as soon as next weekend!)
Thanks for this much awaited update. It was fantastic!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you and you're welcome! More to come soon!
Oh yay. I'm so glad you portrayed Tobias in a semi-positive light. So many people (and not without reason) portray him as a drunken wife beating child molester with a gambling addiction and a substance abuse problem that it's become cliche.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
I think he probably was all those things in JK's head, but I'm not in her head, so I don't have to play by her rules. Nya!
So, you're welcome.
Response from cmwinters (Reviewer)
Yes, he apparently was.
*sigh*
Nott's mother is dead. He was raised by his father and grandfather.
Was the rocking she felt just sleepiness, or had Snape climbed into bed with her, and it was him breathing and her laying her head on his chest?
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
*shrug* Oh well, got that wrong. Not that I expect Rowling has Nott as a the nice guy I've written him as, so... The rocking was Snape carrying her to the infirmary (it became gentle rocking motions after Snape had cleared the stairs).
Response from cmwinters (Reviewer)
Actually, she calls him a clever loner who doesn't feel the need to be a member of any gang ("including Malfoy's") so he may well be a nice, well-adjusted young man, though how he managed that being raised by a Death Eater I've no idea, but nevermind.
Awwww...Snape's a good guy under it all!
I think the lemons were quite exquisite, actually!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you!
Hi! Just found your story "marry a choice" and couldn't stop me from reading and admiring it and then I discovered this lovely sequel and just wanted to tell you how i like your soft Severus and a shy Hermione. Many thanks to you for creating such pleasure to read so..pls update very soon..... hope Lucius will rott away in Azkaban....maybe Draco should testify... and of course I hope that this trial will bring Severus and Hermione even closer togheter... can't wait for it.....
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
THank you for reading! The next chapter is looking to be a difficult one to write, so it may take a while, but I will update eventually!
I never mentioned before how sweet the thought of Severus' sunburned bottom is. Sweet.
Great story! I swear I've spent every free minute I had to read this story and can't wait to read your next chapter.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it so much! Hopefully the next chapter will be ready soon, so you won't have to wait long.
Cheers!
Brilliant as always!!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Why, thank you! *blushes*
Yay! A new chapter. I liked their discussion about wands, it was very apropos of their relationship too, wasn't it? I loved, loved, loved Severus' Aunt and Uncle. I hope they make another appearance.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yay, indeed! Yes, it is, isn't it? I am so thrilled that you liked Cora and GIl! I also hope they get another chance to show up, although I can't promise anything at this point.
Thank you for the review,
