I'm a 30 something home-maker, writer and researcher. Harry Potter fanfiction is my passion and my great escape from everything. I am deeply in love with Severus Snape and he is the only man I would ever consider leaving my husband for. I am most fond of happy endings. Life is too full of angst and heartache, my dreams and thoughts need something more uplifting.
I was born in Sri Lanka and have lived in India, Poland and now, obviously the UK.
I love food, so many of my stories will have detailed descriptions of things I'm currently craving. I also love travelling, the arts and crafts, cooking, baking, oil painting, especially the pre-Raphaelites, literature and culture in general. My favourite colours are at present are royal purple, silver, emerald green, true red and fucshia. Colour is like music, it speaks silently to the soul when it needs it most.

Theo and Ginny is a good match. :)

Thank you for the review. I think so too. I think they will be good for each other.
I'm glad that Hermione's other friends are finally getting the chance to see there's more to Draco (and Slytherins in general) than meets the eye. Draco was downright cute, and Astoria is adorable. Glad to see that Ron's learning to think his way around the Darkness instead of flying off the handle every time something seems hinky. And I think the DA's plan for dealing with Ginny is a good one. At any rate, they need to find a way to put that girl on a leash of sorts before she does any more damage.

Thank you for the review and the stars.I agree with you entirely. I think Ginny being matched up with Theo is going to be interesting and good for them both. He needs someone as practical and as warm as she can be, and she needs someone who will be strong and manly, but still give her the life she thinks she wants.
Hmm, the plot thickens! I hope things will work out ultimately for Ginny, but I can't help but worry that well-intentioned matchmaking schemes rarely go the way the planners intended! Theo may be rich and willing to give Ginny the finer things in life, but will he be willing to let her do that photo spread for Witch Weekly like she wants, or pursue professional Quidditch? I can't help but think that Draco and Astoria need to be looking for available purebloods who were also part of the Slytherin Quidditch team (I don't recall reading that Theo was part of the team, but I may just be forgetting).Glad that Draco and Astoria are getting the chance to show their friendly sides to more of the other Houses, and that Ron is finally starting to really get a handle on his dark side. Now that Harry is available, maybe Luna will finally get her chance to shine in his eyes... As always, looking foward to seeing what happens next with everybody!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review and the stars. No, Theo wasn't part of the Qudditch team and I do agree that he's not going to let Ginny do all that she wants to for fame and fortune. That said, I think he will lead her to sensible social positioning. She ultimately wants in with the it crowd, to be seen as big events and glamourous parties. I think, he's more likely to buy her a Quidditch team to manage than to let her fly. But then, I don't think that's a bad thing.
Thank you so much for a wonderful update, I loved it! Exellent planning done by our friends in the room of requirement, very well done.I am as always looking forward for more:-))

Thank you for the review and the stars. I'm glad you liked the chapter. I really wanted to show the DA that all Slytherins weren't mindless bigots. I think that came across fairly well, especially via the Hermione Draco interaction.
wonderful chapter and well worth the wait. Draco is a hoot, wonderful interplay between characters
really enjoyed the machinations
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you. I wanted the others to see another side of Draco. It's time the Gryffindors realised that all Slytherins aren't replica Death Eaters.
Aww. Draco's cute. I want one of my own. :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review. Yes, he is cute. But definitely annoying. I think I'll stick to Severus :)
Wow. Good on Ron! :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review. Yes, finally. I thought it was time he got a bit of sense.
Well sure, Ron isn't perfect, but he is really making the effort to be aware of the darkness and control it as best he can. Hopefully the plan for Ginny works. I don't think anyone wants to see her unhappy. She just needs to be willing to admit she has a problem and get help. I do think a distraction is their best bet. I wish them luck.

Thank you for the stars and the review. Yes. I know a lot of people thought I had just made the Weasleys horrid for no reason, but I did want to highlight how dark magic can totally change someone. If Bella had been, for example, educated, managed before she went down the slippery slope to madness, perhaps she too could have been saved.Hence Ron, Ginny and Molly being used as good tools for bringing out my understanding of the curruption of Dark Magic. That said, now that Ron and Molly are on the way to better control, Ginny is next. Though I must admit that Theo is not going to be the man they all think he is. I think he's been hiding his inner Slytherin superbly, with a much more Hufflepuff like interior. The inner Slytherin is now going to come out and roar. { and I know, mixed metaphors - but it works }
Truly a brilliant story. Just when I think I know what the next chapter will bring, you pull another rabbit out of your hat! The characters are well- developed - not silly and the plot is just very ingenious. Great job!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you so much for the lovely review and stars. I'm so glad I'm still keeping you intested this far into the plot.
Things could have gotten very ugly there at the end. I am glad they had the sense to not cause a scene. And we seem to be making some progress where the Weasleys are concerned. Ron really seems to be able to step back and assess the situation. I hope that he really does seek out Harry soon to try and make amends. Molly, while still intent on making her point to the order, seems to have some of the fight gone out of her, especially when people are complimenting her children. Ginny is going to be the most difficult, but there is still hope. I guess their upcoming meeting will either sort lots of stuff out, of cause some spectacular fireworks.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello. Thank you for the review and the stars. You're totally right. I think Ron's finally seeing through the darkness that has clouded his vision for so long. Molly too is starting to loose some of her darkness. She was never a evil woman, just weak, and that weakness if fed by something like praise for her children will then no longer be fed by stupid blindness. That's why she was able, I think, to step back from making a scene. Ginny is the tough one - but again, if her darker tendencies are fed with what she craves, fame, prestige, she won't need to resort to the more overt displays she's been resorting too. I think the trio need to be approached from both the front, as well as sideways, so that the darkness is not given a chance to rear its ugly head and bring a cloud of irrationality to bear when things are laid out for them.
I really enjoyed this chapter and the last one. It was satisfying that Poppy Pomfrey was willing to speak plainly to Molly, and to see Ron reflect on the situation. It was also nice to know he had a clear-headed view of Lavender. I was also glad Harry had the courage and principle to end things with Ginny - I would love to be a fly on the wall at the upcoming Order meeting. And looking forward to Hermione and Severus' betrothal!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the stars and the review. Yes, indeed. The Order meeting is sure to be interesitng. I don't know how I'm going to manage to write it really. Still not sure what direction to take. I think in that regard, the betrothal contract will be much easier to handle.
Hooray for a new chapter! Today's my birthday, and this was a great present for me! And hooray for Ron! I am so glad that he's starting to make the journey out of the Darkness which has been influencing him; maybe he can help lead the way for Molly and Ginny too. I too hope that he can mend the breach between him and Hermione so that they can be friends who can count on one another again. Also, looks like Lavender will be left by the wayside soon...maybe both Ron and Ginny will be able to find partners who are better suited for them and will truly make them happy.Having Pomona and Poppy step up to the plate to help Minerva was very refreshing and fun to read. Their guilt over how they treated Severus when they thought he was a traitor, and their obvious affection for him will also hopefully be a balm to his Dark Veela curse. He may not know how to respond to it, but the people around him will care for him whether he likes it or not! As always, looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you so much for the lovely review and stars. Happy birthday. I'm glad the new installment arrived in time :)Yes on all counts really. But especially with Ron, he is going to be even more mature as the story progresses. Right now it is still hard for him to see clear of the darkness, but he's learning to fight it, which is the most important thing.
Another good chapter!Great to see Ron's eyes are opening and he sees what he needs to change and is going about changing. Nice to see Molly on the fense and on the verge of changing. Looking forward to seeing their progress!Ah, so now that Hermione's told Hannah, Susan and Neville about her betrothal will it leak out before it's finalised? Looking forward to seeing the betrothal contract put in effect!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review and the stars. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. I think Neville, Susan and Hannah are trustworthy. For one thing, Hufflepuffs are loyal, and for another, can you imagine Neville gossiping and betraying anyone, especially when he's been told to keep something quiet? Ron needed to see the light. He is such an intelligent person who has never really allowed his intelligence to shine because he allows his emotions to get the better of him.
Thank you so much for a brilliant update, it was well worth waiting for!!! I just adore how the Molly-Ron-Ginny situation was handled, it was brilliant. There seems to be hope for Ron yet, I would have said maybe even so for Molly, but Ron raised a important issue himself here: Molly allowed his less than lousy manners with regards to Hermione. Ginny will probably get the wake-up call of her life at the Order meeting, but I am not convinced she will learn anything from it.Again, brilliant, brilliant update!!!!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the thoughtful review and the pretty stars. I agree. But I think that Ron's going to be a good influence in helping Ginny see the light. He is finally learning to control his inner demons, and Molly too is slowly being given the help she needs. Arthur has finally begun to take control. I think him going to the Malfoys shows that he is learning to do what is right despite the firm hold Molly had always had on him. Now that he has learned to do what is right, even if it hurts his wife, he will be able to put his foot down more firmly at home. For too long, he's been mollycoddled :)
It sounds like Ron's head may have fully emerged from his backside if he's finally able to grasp the changes that have occurred to himself and his family since their exposure to the Dark. Even Molly seems to have improved somewhat. But Ginevra's quite another story. It seems likely that her early exposure via Tom Riddle's diary made her an especially easy target, allowing the Dark to grow even more firmly entrenched. Whatever the case, Gin's clearly extremely unstable and biggest threat facing the Order at the moment. Poor Percy's going to have his hands full keeping her from blowing up like a ruddy Howler and spilling the whole of her lies and mean-spirited suppositions to the media at large. Given the tendencies of the wizarding public to believe everything they read, I can see how things could turn very ugly, very quickly. Another fascinating and thought-provoking update, KittyP... keep 'em coming!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the wonderfully insightful review. And the pretty stars, of course.I agree totally with your analysis. I think though that when Ginny finds true love, that the fears Tom's darkness has nurtured in her mind will finally lose their stronghold.
I'm so proud of Ron right now. He knows he's been touched by the dark, but now he's thinking of what that truly means. He's finally realised what his behavior has been like, and is going to take steps to correct it.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review. Indeed, Ron's finally been able to remove his head from his arse and use his strategic capabilities. I think him seeing the light will also help Molly. Ginny though is a harder case. I think she needs real and unconditional love, which she's never really had. Harry never had enough time for her, and Tom Riddle just abused her young heart.
good to see Ron growing up and glad that Neville et al accepted Hermione into the group and could see she hadn't changed.
longing to see Molly and Ginny fall. I've always found it hard to like them
More please, I've been good
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you so much for the review and the stars. I think it is a great pity that Ginny is still so blind. But as you say, it's lovely that Ron finally got his head out of his arse :)
Finally Ron decides to grow up! Now if Molly and Ginny would at least try to control their darkness but I think it will take time.Severus is right about one thing if Ginny starts running her mouth to the press it will be a headache nobody wants. I just hope they can figure out a something to help them. Glad Ron took Lavender away from the Head Table she is a terrible gossip. I really like this chapter and look forward to reading more.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the stars and review. I thought it was about time Ron's eyes finally opened. He is not an idiot and I was getting really frustrated that he refused to see reason. I'm glad he was finally able to put the Order's needs above his own.As for Ginny, I think she will see the light when she finds true love. She's never really been loved, and that, I think is what allows the darkness to contiue to hold such a strong bond on her fears and psyche.
well, well...there's hope for won-won. what a terrific update! thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
You're welcome. Yes, I was tired of Ron bashing. I thought it was time he got his head out of his arse and saw the light :)
I have to say I still love this story. It's so well written, not once has a chapter left feeling me like something was missing. The only complant I could come up with is it takes a while for the next update.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review and the stars. Yes, I am sorry that I take so long to update, but sometimes I just don't feel like writing when there's a million other things going on with my life.
whoa! what they're up to now! great update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Glad you're still reading. It really is lovely to hear from you.
okay Those three need a huge wake up call and I hope Minvera, Poppy and Pomona give it to them in spades. I know they are still full of the Darkness but sheesh they really need to get over and quit blaming Hermione for everything that has gone wrong in their family. I mean what nerve to suggest that the Malfoys put some kind of spell on Harry and the other, I know they might have done it in the past but thats the past. I can't believe you left such an evil cliff hanger I can't wait to read more. Glad Hermione and Severus are getting along again.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you for the review and the lovely stars :) I'm evil, I know, but if I had gone on, the chapter would have been far too long, it just seemed best to cut it short at that point. More up shortly. As for the three Weasleys, this is more a cry for help really, because up to now, though the problem has been raised, they've not got enough support to deal with it. Now I guess they will have to be dealt with.
I don't envy Minerva's position at all. Will someone please get the Weasley's some help?!?! I don't like the way they are acting, but it isnt entirely their fault. So glad that Hermione and Severus have reconciled, even if the conversation was a bit stuffy and formal for awhile . It will be such a releif when things are in place and they can feel free to be more of a couple in public. Soon, I hope. I do wonder if and when he will ever tell her about the dark veela curse?
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Mmm... I think he will tell her, but not right now. He's still very insecure, hence the formal speach for the first part of their getting back together. We must not forget that this was the man that was rejected completely by Lily, he's not going to want to put his heart and his innermost confessions on the line that easily.P.S. Thank you for the review and the lovely stars.
OMG seriously!!! Molly, Ginny and Ron definitely belong in the Thickney ward in St. Mungo's. They could bunk with Lockhart. I'm so happy Severus and Hermione have worked things out. I feel really bad for Minerva; no doubt she'll have a migraine.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Migraine indeed. But I think they needed to do something so obviously foolish for them to get real help if you see what I mean.
Oh dear. Molly's on a mission. This can't end well. :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
I know. Poor Molly. She really needs help.
