I'm a 30 something home-maker, writer and researcher. Harry Potter fanfiction is my passion and my great escape from everything. I am deeply in love with Severus Snape and he is the only man I would ever consider leaving my husband for. I am most fond of happy endings. Life is too full of angst and heartache, my dreams and thoughts need something more uplifting.
I was born in Sri Lanka and have lived in India, Poland and now, obviously the UK.
I love food, so many of my stories will have detailed descriptions of things I'm currently craving. I also love travelling, the arts and crafts, cooking, baking, oil painting, especially the pre-Raphaelites, literature and culture in general. My favourite colours are at present are royal purple, silver, emerald green, true red and fucshia. Colour is like music, it speaks silently to the soul when it needs it most.

you left it there????
loved it as always, but looking forward to Ginny's fall.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thanks. I must admit that I've not really figured out what's going to happen next. So the next chapter might take a while :)Ginny's fall is definitely due, I know. But I'm not sure if I'm going to make it happen any time soon :)
with allies like that how can you go wrong? terrific update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
You're welcome. Glad you're enjoying the plotting.
I'm loving the advice laden protraits! And the fact that Hermione is wlling to do the research and be mature about things, I think goes a long way in terms of convincing Severus that they ought to persue things, despite her status as a student. I feel the dark veela curse slipping away as we speak :) Looking forward to whatever comes next.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes. I think the Dark Veela curse is slipping away - the next chapter will see Narcissa talk about the cloud she sees over Severus - much like Luna does, but in a completely different way - I think it is sure to get our girl Hermione thinking further.
Love her forum of advisors. Who better than those in intimate contact with the castle ioself? :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Indeed, besides which, they have a completely different take on the acceptability of events and a whole other agenda for the future Granger-Snape union.
Go Hermione! lol I think Severus's Slytherin tactics have rubbed off onto her then again she was always cunning when there was something she wanted.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Indeed. Hermione's got plenty of Slytherin in her long before Severus came along.

great great chapter,thanks for posting
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes, the portraits are fab aren't they. I did so enjoy writing them. Glad you liked Phineas Nigellus. I think he's utterly charming in a sardonic way.
We'll see what he says.... I think he'll be quite shocked.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
True, I agree, but I think he might be shocked in a good way. Not what he expects after all.
wonderful update. i love how you've written luna...true to her character but with more depth. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
You're welcome. I am starting to enjoy Luna even more now than I ever did before. So I'm glad you're finding that enjoyable too.
Loved the way the story is progressing. So detailed.

So happy to read your review. Glad you're enjoying the story thus far.
Well, things are going along rather famously. I hope they both can find real love.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes, I hope so too. They both deserve it after the tragedies in their lives.
what a lovely and idylic day...and deliciously heated at the end. "come see my orchids" is that like "come see my etchings"? faboo update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes, I think come see my orchids is indeed like come see my etchings :) Classier though.

Wow that was good
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you so much. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
I think Severus is definitely well on his way to finding love. Hermione obviously cares very much for Severus, but is still so new to real relationships, that she's not sure of her feelings. I think Narcissa will definitely be of help on that part, since Hermione's separated from her own mother.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes, I agree on all counts. Narcissa is going to be a real influence for their future happiness. They are both lucky the Malfoys are all for their relationship. I think though that Hermione is more likely to take risks with Severus - he is far too cautious.
He''s showing admirable restraint. :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes, well he knows what he wants, and I think a part of him is afraid of losing her before he's convinced her to marry him.
I tend to be very skeptical of Veela stories but I started this and literally read it through. Really well written with an interesting premise. And I also enjoy your charactarizations and the theme of how being touched by the Dark can have long term impact if you don't fight it. Can't wait for more.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Thank you so much for the stars and the review. I too am often skeptical of Veela stories, hence me wanting to explore the theme more fully along with other issues. I do hope the rest of the story continues to please.
the fact that they're using hermione but enjoying it too is certainly a bonus for plotting slytherins. i love cissy's gentle and motherly handling of her and lucius was quite a surprise. And about damn time harry stepped up to the plate!! wonderful update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you. I really want Harry to grow up. I think he's got lots of potential, especially now that the burden of Voldemort is no longer round his neck.As for the Slytherins, they are too smart to let something small like foolish prejudice get in the way of political and social standing.
LOL, it really is quite startling to see the changes between the Malfoys and her.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Yes. I wanted to explore the Malfoys if they were forced to open their eyes and see things for what they were. She's got so much of Slytherin within her that I always thought she'd fit right in to their group if it wasn't for the obvious prejudice.
Very nice progression! I loved Severus being so possessive.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello :) Thank you so much. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
