I'm a 30 something home-maker, writer and researcher. Harry Potter fanfiction is my passion and my great escape from everything. I am deeply in love with Severus Snape and he is the only man I would ever consider leaving my husband for. I am most fond of happy endings. Life is too full of angst and heartache, my dreams and thoughts need something more uplifting.
I was born in Sri Lanka and have lived in India, Poland and now, obviously the UK.
I love food, so many of my stories will have detailed descriptions of things I'm currently craving. I also love travelling, the arts and crafts, cooking, baking, oil painting, especially the pre-Raphaelites, literature and culture in general. My favourite colours are at present are royal purple, silver, emerald green, true red and fucshia. Colour is like music, it speaks silently to the soul when it needs it most.

You're welcome. Thank you so much for the review.
Go Severus! I want him on my side for sure. Poor Harry. I hope he will be able to work through all of the changes the dark magic is bringing on. As for the Weasleys, well, I have nothing nice to say so I won't say anything at all.

Hello and thank you so much for the review and the lovely stars. I agree entirely.
Ha, burn. Nice. It shouldn't matter that they are fighting the effect of the dark, Hermione and Harry are fighting the same thing without attacking friends...and Molly is grown and should not be fighting anything. Good for Severus!

Oh, yeah! That's telling 'em, Sev! :)

Hello and thank you so much for the review.
Sensible bloke, turning Bella down! :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you so much for the review. Yes, imagine him losing his virginity to Bella. What horror.
The Weasleys are being so mean, I am so mad at them. Severus defense of Hermione was great though, his remarks priceless!

Hello and thank you so much for the review and the lovely stars. I'm glad you enjoyed that.
Molly was incensed. She had not expected Severus to come to Hermione’s defence. ‘Really, Severus,’ said Molly, ‘my children would never be promiscuous. I’m sure you are mistaken.’ ‘Mistaken,’ said Severus with a smirk. ‘I could start naming names and the number of points I took off at each offence, if you feel that would be helpful. There are records of all points lost in the staff-room at Hogwarts, and Minerva will happily assert that I speak the truth. She always did make it her self-appointed task to double check every point I deducted from her precious little Gryffindors, especially when they were removed in significant quantities.’Oooh, burn! Attempting to cast aspersions on Hermione's virtue was definitely the wrong tack to take. Somehow, though, I doubt Molly, Ginny and Ron have given up trying to hurt and humiliate her, especially with the Dark influence fanning the flames of their pettiness and jealousy.

Hello and thank you so much for the review and the lovely stars. Yes, unfortunately the three Weasleys are not being rational at the moment.

go sev go! ~gestures under the table for two tiny young 8-year old gremlin kits to go nip at ginny and molly's ankles and calves and any fingers shooing them away~ my good babies! your mummy will be so proud, yes jesi will! ~cuddles them, the tiny red-panda sized kids~

Hello and thanks for the reivew. I love the pretty stars. I'm glad you're enjoying the story :) Yes, Molly, Ron and Ginny need to be attacked.
Response from keske (Reviewer)
oh my gremlins, they aren't just good at setting up electronics in magical areas, they love hermione and severus and will happily protect them! (lol think of the bed gremlins from the movie and mixed with those hairless cats...only cuter and with opposable thumbs!)
Oh, SNAP! Way to go, Severus! I wonder if it's possible for the Darkness that's now in Ron to "overflow", so to speak, out into the people around him? He may be unwittingly making things worse for his mother and Ginny just from his proximity to them. Not that I don't for a moment think that Molly and Ginny wouldn't have those feelings otherwise, but Ron's Darkness may be causing them to be more likely to act out on those feelings than they otherwise would have been. It will be interesting to see.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello again and thank you for the review. I don't think Ron's darkness is spilling over. Molly and Ginny have cast enough dark magic of their own to be so irrational. Though I do agree that the situation is compounded by them all being tainted by the dark - one egging on the other and no one willing to listen to reason. It is going to be interesting. I think Arthur will finally have to take charge of his family if he is to save them.
What a fascinating look into the ideals and rituals of pureblood society; I really enjoyed this chapter for that alone, but the interaction between Severus, Narcissa and Hermione was an added bonus. It's going to be difficult for Hermione to reconcile her treatment at the Manor with the friendship the Malfoys are offering her now, and I hope that they will realize that and take steps to ameliorate that. The total redecoration of the Manor that's already been done will help, I think, should Hermione ever be invited there in the future.I'm sorry to hear that the Weasleys are still being so thick regarding Harry's trauma in the aftermath of all this. Although I'm sure that Molly has convinced herself that all Harry really needs is the loving presence of her daughter to make everything all right again...sigh. Perhaps Severus can be convinced to come over to Grimmauld Place and have a long chat with Harry about the war and the things they had both been required to do and to see. I think as a fellow scarred veteran, Severus could do more toward letting Harry move on than many others could.Okay, I've gotta scoot to the next chapter!

Hello and thank you so much for such a well thought out review.Yes, I agree on all counts. Molly has convinced herself that all will be right with Harry if he has Ginny by his side. She is not thinking about what's best for Harry, but what's best for Ginny and her family at the moment. As for the Malfoys, I think Hermione and Narcissa are both extremely astute women, and they should be able to negotiate the minefield of their past quite well. The fact that the Malfoys are very aware of the politics involved, will make them much more willing to unbend from their rigid thinking, especially in light to their realisation that their pureblood desire for the revival of the old ways was not in any way protected or strengthened by the ideals they followed through Voldemort.I've not really envisioned Harry and Severus having a heart to heart of any sort in this story - but it is something that I shall now consider. Thank you. If you see it at some point in the story, it is due to your prompt.Do keep reading and reviewing. It means so much to hear from someone who is enjoying the story.
Gosh, I'm disappointed in Molly but not really surprised... she was quick to turn against Hermione in the past when Rita Skeeter was writing all those nasty articles about her. Ron and Ginny are reacting out of jealousy, and that doesn't bode well for either Hermione or Harry trying to have relationships with them. It will be interesting to see whether or not they're even given the opportunity to explain when they get to the Burrow...

Hello and thank you so much for the review and the stars :)Yes, the darkness has afterall not done anything more than force their hidden weaknesses out into the open.As for Molly, Ginny and Ron listening to reason, that is something that needs maturity, and that's something they don't really have at present.
Wow Molly, Ron and Ginny really need to get a grip on reality course in the essence that they are in the grips of grief true colors to tend to show. Glad Arthur and Fleur seem to be more in tune with what is going on. I have a feeling there will be one heck of a fight when Harry and them show up and it won't be pretty. Love this story.

Hello and thank you so much for the review and the lovely stars. I'm really glad you're enjoying the story. Yes, the Weasley reaction is not pretty and things are going to get worse before they get better unfortunately.
always did love arthur! so good. can't wait for more.

Hello and thank you so much for the review and stars :)
Can I just say that I am really ticked off at Molly Weasley right now? Glad you added another chapter and can't wait to read more! :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the review and pretty stars. I'm rather annoyed with Molly too but it was to be expected really.
Uh oh, dysfunction is the Weasley household? I realize they are grieving, but in times of extreme emotion, sometimes people's true colors really shine through. Good thing Arthur has a good perspective on things. Even if Fleur is his only ally. Interested to see what happens next.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the review and the pretty stars. I agree. Grief does bring out people's true natures. And unfortunately, most of the Weasleys aren't coming off very well right now.
Poor Arthur has his work cut out for him! :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the review. Indeed, a lot of work needs to be done.
Well, the selfishness of Ron, Ginny and Molly come out once again; although even worse than usual. I admire how Arthur was able to see that more is going on than what his wife and kids think, and know it was a smart move on Harry, Hermione and Luna's part. I see a huge fight in the not so distant future.
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the review. Yes, the Weasleys collective reactions kind of bring out the strengths and weaknesses of the family as a whole. Though Arthur unfortuately is not really strong enough to stand up to his wife and family. Though I think that events may push him to finally finding his voice.
oh come on aurthur! stand up a bit more! ~growls at the rest of them, her hackles rising~ bloody fame-addled miscreants! whining infantile fools! ~rants and berates the lot of them until they see sense....either that or be fed to black dragons...~great chapter!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello thank you for the review/rant and shiny stars :) I do agree with you.
Well, I couldn't very well stop and review until I had reached the end of the available chapters ;) This is a fun story. A really interesting premise, and I must say that at the very start I thought it was kind of an absurd idea, but by now I am completely sold on it. I like the Harry/Hermione/Luna combo for a change. Really can't wait to see how this all plays out!
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you so much for the review and the lovely stars. I'm glad I've sold you on the premise thus far :)

Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you so much for the review. I'm so glad you liked the update, and a plotting Severus.
Of course, Slytherins just can't be friends. LOL
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello, thank you for the review and the pretty stars,Yes, I doubt they could do anything as simple as straight forward friendship. But at least its something that works both ways, and isn't straight exploitation. They are complicated, and that's why I like writing about them so much.
I see a Narcissa makeover in the offing! :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you for the review.Well, Narcissa will try, but I don't think she's going to get very far with Severus. He's too set in his ways. Although, to make up for it, I let her loose on someone else as you shall see as the story progresses :)
Uh oh, matchmaking Narcissa is on the loose! I'm looking forward to seeing her attempt to coax Severus into something other than black...perhaps she can manage to get him to accept a dark midnight blue, at least. Baby steps, baby steps. You know Severus is serious about courting if he's considering making over Spinner's End to be more inviting. The neighborhood it resides in will continue to be a problem, though. He'll need a rather open-minded young witch who won't turn her nose up at it...hmm, who could fit that description...hmm?
Response from kittyperry (Author of Dark Veela)
Hello and thank you again for the lovely review and stars,You know, You're very good at saying just the thing to make me want to go on and explain the plot, but I shall resist and just wink at you at this stage instead. But yes, you're thinking along the correct lines, though, I've given everything a slightly different twist :)
