I just love the part of the story when they suddenly realise they're a man and a woman ... no longer just a teacher and a student. Such fun!
Thank goodness he's gone to help her. Her Gryffindor pride is going to be the death of her yet... although I can see why she would not want to let Snape know of her fear of flying. But she needs help, and help is on the way.Can't wait to read how this all plays out!Beth

“Hooray for you,” she said. “Although, I hear it’s easier if you open the window first.” I laughed out loud when I read that. There is something electric happening between them–a touch of their hands, their eyes holding the gaze, his staring at her slightly opened lips. This is shaping up to be a fun tale. The give and take between Severus and Hermione is great! Now all she has to do is "prove" that she can fly, and I can't wait to see how this turns out.Beth

Lavender certainly has a mean streak! I'm surprised Hermione hasn't hexed her already.Of all the people to walk into that particular clearing at that particular moment! Professor Snape... LOL!!!What will he think of this "fungus amongus" that splattered all over his chest. Perhaps only a few words of derision, and then he will have pity on her.Interesting start to a fun sounding story. I love the title and the chapter names, BTW.Beth

Thank you so much! I think it would be absolutely amazing to accomplish flight like that - I'm quite envious of her. And I can see how it would appeal to her control-freak side, not having to rely on a broom or animal but just her own concentration and abilities. You should have seen my grin when Severus came face to face with Hermione in the dress, big grin when it was being described and a giggle to boot!! I wanted to stop reading and just review on that particular part but I stopped myself and read to the end. Then I find the back of the dress being described and I was off again giggling. Now I've got to dash taxi service tonight. But a fab chapter! And Severus hurry up and get on that sofa!!

Isn't it funny how a man's best laid plans can be utterly leveled by one killer black dress. Poor Severus, LOLBTW, just wanted to say how much I love this story...I think your characterizations are dead on, for Severus and Hermione both, which is very much appreciated. This continues to be so good. You really do write so well, with such a feel for the English language and for the characters you are portraying.I just love Severus' reaction to the dress; men really can be so predictable and transparent at such times can't they?! And Hermione was clearly aware of what effect she'd have by wearing it! (I'm sure it will prove to be worth every penny she no doubt paid for it!) Your phrase 'The ancient mysteries of woman worshipped by man' is great and just sums it up perfectly! I'm really enjoying this fic - please don't finish it too soon!! :-)

I love a chapter when it's told from Snape's POV. It's always so hard to know what he thinks. I haven't told you but I supposed you might I've guessed: I love your story.

He has impeccable timing, doesn't he?! I kind of agree with you about Lavender, but I needed a villain for this story, and she was handy. And perhaps losing Ron stung her more than we knew, and she's transferred her bitterness to Hermione. Anything's possible!
