I have always agreed with Luna Lovegood's assessment of Ron's cruel streak and thought that he and Lavender truly deserved each other. Hermione's not perfect, but she's anything but mean-spirited and deserves better. Anyhoo, I look forward to learning how Severus came to be in the middle of godforsaken nowhere along with Hermione, as I seriously doubt he would ever willingly get involved with the likes or cronies of Lavender Brown and their petty little games.Great beginning!

Just shows us that something very good and special can come out of something bad. Lavender was a nasty bit in this and got her come uppance from Severus at the end. Hermione is correct with her final conclusion with the best they can do to Lav is to prove herwrong and have a superb relationship.

The flying lessons were superb and the rescue was mind blowing. Lots could be done to expand this lovely fic with Lucious and the elves. Ahh off to see if you have written more.

This was too funny! I was laughing out loud as I read this and actually had to stop at one point to contain myself.Ugh! How humiliating for Hermione! And in front of Snape of all people.I have a hard time picturing Snape laughing but I can definitely see how this series of events would be a good catalyst.
