A tale of set-ups, sniping and silliness in large doses. When Ginny sends in an advertisement for the 'Lonely Hearts' Section of the Daily Prophet for Hermione, neither friend really anticipates a reply--that is, until Lucius sends one behind Severus' back, neatly forcing Severus to continue the correspondence. Despite their initial arguments, Severus and Hermione soon find themselves enjoying their correspondence, though they have no idea who the other is and that they seemingly despise each other in 'real life'! How on earth will this unlikely match of mistaken identities, verbal sparring and postscripts resolve itself?

REGARDING ALL THAT'S LEFT
In case you were wondering why it vanished off the face of the earth, not to worry. It's undergoing a significant bit of revision, but it'll be back eventually. It'll probably be under a different name, too, but the premise will largely be the same. Thanks to everyone who supported me through it; I just wanted to make a few changes but it'll be back, I promise.

This is so clever! I haven't seen "You've got Mail," But I have seen "The Shop Around the Corner" (starring Jimmy Stewart) from 1940. (Superior to a musical version with Judy Garland, although I love Judy.)You've taken this premise and added to it. a regular novel of letters (I hope! I could enjoy many chapters as amusing as this one!) So much fun to have letters flying to and from so many characters. Thank you for writing and sharing this.

As it happens, neither have I. But I was scanning through the list of prompts really quickly, and the minute I saw that, the idea for this story just popped up. And I read through the other prompts, but I just couldn't get it out of my head. I'd like to see 'Shop Around the Corner', as it probably matches the tone for this one much more than 'You've Got Mail' does. Hmm... video rental store, here I come.It definitely will be all letters, except possibly one scene which I'm still wondering whether I can do it through letters. But I'll figure something out! Yeah, I really like the similarity to emails, even if owls aren't nearly as fast. I haven't done this before, but I'm really enjoying it; it's crazy fun, figuring out how characters would communicate through written word. Snarkiness all around! Thanks for reviewing,

'The shop around the corner' is well worth seeing if you like old movies. and it has a number of sub plots which enrich the story. I think you're doing a great job setting things up. I love your sense of humour.

I love this story-.Normally the format would bother me, but for this tale, it's perfect. I'm working my way through the other works of my favorites among the challenge fics, when I realized that I had missed a chapter of this story.

--Bite me.-- great last line. Ah love is definitely in the air between Severus and Hermione. How will they keep their hands off of each other? Hopefully they won't hex each other to death before they truly start corresponding.
