A tale of set-ups, sniping and silliness in large doses. When Ginny sends in an advertisement for the 'Lonely Hearts' Section of the Daily Prophet for Hermione, neither friend really anticipates a reply--that is, until Lucius sends one behind Severus' back, neatly forcing Severus to continue the correspondence. Despite their initial arguments, Severus and Hermione soon find themselves enjoying their correspondence, though they have no idea who the other is and that they seemingly despise each other in 'real life'! How on earth will this unlikely match of mistaken identities, verbal sparring and postscripts resolve itself?

REGARDING ALL THAT'S LEFT
In case you were wondering why it vanished off the face of the earth, not to worry. It's undergoing a significant bit of revision, but it'll be back eventually. It'll probably be under a different name, too, but the premise will largely be the same. Thanks to everyone who supported me through it; I just wanted to make a few changes but it'll be back, I promise.

Hello,I'm pleased to have inspired the MJ contest. Since I read the chapter and reviews after the correct answer had been given, I'll have to think of some creative ones (but have to work now, alas). BTW, the name I am called by nearly all is "ME" (I tell people it's short for Myrtle Esmerelda), so I am fond of the MJ nickname.Very funny chapter! As much as I want to see more correspondence between MJ and Toby, weaving in others' correspondence permits you to widen the story considerably by giving others' POV. Loved the point about the Chinese phrase and the gossip round-robins.More soon!RedRooPS Interesting name for Harry and Daphne's child ...

Well, that depends on whether I could write 150 chapters! (And I'm not so sure, myself!) Maybe cut it down by two thirds? *puppy eyes*Well, if my story is the print-and-read-when-bored (or even save-on-ipod, that's what I do!) then I consider it a success. :)

I don't think 'dunderhead' was much of a givaway. After all, Snape taught many years' worth of students at Hogwarts, and if someone thought the word Dunderhead was neat, he would adopt it for his own use. This is a great chapter. so funny. glad for the warning, or i might have spit water all over my keyboard. Thanks for this gem of a tale. wow the pumpkin juice! Snape is really loosening up on paper, eh? This is all so funny, i loved the gossiping teachers.

Is 'MJ' short for 'Mione Jean or 'Mione Jane? Goodness me it would have been better if JKR didn't swap it around.Now to the review - Brilliant! Just Brilliant! 
The pumpkin juice from the nose - Excellent! It's amazing how people loosen up when writing - even to people they don't know.

Sweet bloody monkey. This is effing hilarious, start to finish (well, to the current finish); I'm delighted with the utter snark of everyone's missives, which mounts to outright bitchiness in Hermione and Snape's epistolary efforts to any and everyone. Your talent for wordplay and outrageously exaggerated pique (pique which is rendered in the precise tones of each character's most aggravating idiosyncrasies, to boot- the image of Lucius' distress over his disordered cravat is too delicious) is outstanding; this is one of the best humorous pieces I've read in this ship, and reading it is truly a treat. Well done indeed; I look forward to finding out who you are.
