Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Lucius doesn't really know what he wants, now does he? And I wonder who Draco has chosen to court.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
No, he doesn't, the poor conflicted thing.Draco's choice will be revealed in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing!

I don't recall if I've said it before, but I love this sentimental, all too human Lucius. He's still a sneaky bastich, but it's tempered really well.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm glad you do! I hope it makes sense that there is more to him than there seems to be in the books.

Great chapter. I love your multi-layered Lucius.

I like the way you present Lucius. He's not perfectly rehabilitated, he is still himself, but he has a depth and humanity that is very nice. It was interesting that Severus could find some of Hermione's missing memories and reorganize them.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm glad you like my take on Lucius.Yes, due to Fawkes's song reminding Hermione of some of those lost memories... and thoroughly messing up the rest of her memories in the process.

I am trilled to see (and read) the new update. I love this story so a new chapter sure is appriciated:-)) I think the gift from Severus and Hermione was really thougthful, it showed their acceptance of Narcissa still being a vital part of Lucius. But, at the same time it also underlined that Lucius is "the fifth wheel on the wagoon", that they are not a threesome, but at pair with him as a necessary appendix. I know that it is early days and that all of them have adjustments to make, not to mention getting used to be in the same house together. I guess they first of all must be comfortable with being around each other on a daily basis before the two can become three? I would love to see them as a strong unit, closely knitted together in the end though:-))
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hope to be able to post the next chapter within a few days, as it's currently with my beta.Glad you liked Lucius's gift. It was rather double-edged, even if Hermione didn't regard it as such. I'm sure Severus did...They do have adjustments to make, yes. What happens in the end is still largely up in the air even to me, but I hope it'll satisfy when I eventually get that far!

It looks like they are making the first step toward being friends within their marriage. I love that Hermione didn't have the neat & orderly mind everyone always seems to expect of her. Though I wonder what more of Fawkes' song would have done to her.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks for reviewing! They are indeed taking those first steps.Hermione's mind is usually organised... but that's not necessarily the same thing as neat and orderly, true! It's an interesting question what more of Fawkes's song would have done to her. Perhaps irretrievably tangled her memories. Certainly nothing pleasant!

I don't know how you do it, but in this story Lucius can be such a bastard and I still want to stroke his head and tell him that everything will be alright. I was another lovely chapter, great work!!gab

I am so glad you have Fawkes in here as well, I always liked that bird's comforting presence in the stories.

Thank you! He was conspicious by his absence in DH. I missed him.

Hmmm, putting Lucius in his prized aviary seems to humanise him a little more. This is somthing he is really passionate about. So Fawkes may be the reason Severus is alive...
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I hoped it would! He really does love his birds.Part of the reason, at least!

Poor Hermione - the 2nd consummation sounded like a disaster - things cannot go on this way - I would say - cannot wait to see what happens next.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Poor Hermione indeed! Unfortunately new chapters can take a while to write... it's up now, though.

wow! very cool aviary. and I have to say, I like what you put in about the chief editor of the daily prophet. makes a lot of sense.

Another great chapter. So, Lucius has Fawkes or Severus does ... interesting. I also love the part about the Snidgets. Good storytelling.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Lucius provides the living space, Severus 'owns' him. Thanks! Couldn't resist including Snidgets.

Maybe not such a permanent loss after all! And no more posted chapters. :(Severus bottling the bathroom spider made me giggle - he would do something like that.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Maybe not... And sorry! I get chapters out as soon as I can. Usually at least one per month. Hopefully more, I'll do my best.Heh! Glad you liked that bit.

Tomorrow will be very awkward, I'm sure. At least they got everything taken care of without any more duels. I expect that there will be angry words between Severus and Lucius if Lucius decides to approach them for more. How did the Ministry really think that two wizards marrying one which would prevent fighting?Lucius' grief over Narcissa is very well done. I like that he is greiving, instead of the typical tossing aside.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Awkward is a good word to describe it... Heh! Angry words and hexes. Well, it was a committee decision...Thank you! I'm glad you think so.

Very tidy way to deal with the virginity issue - and I agree, best not to remember it with Ron. Of course, if she takes that memory potion, she'll remember it...I'm surprised that she went to Snape for contraception, though - they must have been very good friends.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! There are certainly drawbacks to getting her memory back.Indeed they were.

What an invasion of privacy! Ack! And now Hermione will feel pressured, which is not the best way to approach these consummations. I know that she was Ron's girlfriend for a number of months... but will her ink turn silver or gold? However, even if one signature turns gold, the other will have to be silver. Unless they are very creative.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very invasive, and yes, it certainly ups the pressure. They would have to be very creative to achieve that!

So, she is beginning to care for both wizards? If Ginny deduced that from the glowing of her dress, I wonder if Snape will and how he'll feel about it?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Good question! It's possible that it glows from mere friendship, though, so he might be careful not to assume too much.

perhaps those memories would be better left where they are?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Perhaps... it would certainly be less painful for Hermione!

Yeah, I can't imagine that her parents were pleased to find out that she was marrying two men. I like how you are doling out bits of her lost memories. I'm surprised that other men haven't come by to propose to Hermione, being a war hero and all.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Not at all pleased! Thanks, glad to hear it.Severus and Lucius as suitors would be put off some men...

Promised payback or not, she acquiesced pretty easily. Still confused about the claim vs her choice thing. I think I missed something somewhere. Now, I wonder what is causing her sensitivity to Dark Magic? Will they restore her memory? Questions, questions. :)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I think the duel affects Hermione's choice only in that she can't pick Ron. Sorry it was confusing! Those questions should be answered by the end of the story!
