In the wake of the fall of Voldemort, a new law threatens Muggleborn women with forced marriages, including Hermione Granger who must make the best of a bad situation by marrying Severus Snape. This story is that of the long and rocky road to eventually find contentment.
Winner of the Multifaceted Award, round three, Courage category. Thanks!

damn when I first started reading this ages ago, the summary implied that they would eventually find love or at least happiness together. This is now going in a whole different direction. I can't stand Hermione in this story. I feel like the story changed mid-stream. I feel a bit betrayed
I have feeling things are going to get very bad from here. Ohhh Severus what have you done.
Ooh, new chappie! Why do I feel like Sev is only going to continue to make things worse? :pIn other words, I am eagerly anticipating more. :)
Almost thought this story was abandoned. glad to see you proved me wrong. but I've got a bad feeling about how this is going to end *another happy-ending junkie putting her $.02 in the pot* I'm hoping against hope that Severus and Hermione can get back together and work it out.
This really is a fantastic story. I hope you find your muse to continue this - I'm really curious how you see this all panning out. I know you had a huge change of heart over this story, but please consider this: feeling uncomfortable with the subject matter or the way it played out just means you've pushed yourself as a writer, not that you condone anything your characters do. Your writing, especially the dialogue, is terrific. I look forward to reading the rest of this story whenever you're ready to revisit it.

Thanks. I am working on the next chapter. I had to have a fandom hiatus for a while, and now school/family stuff is keeping me pretty busy, but the next chapter will be coming this month (April), at least.

Please, Please, Please do not leave me hanging. I love this story. I love how you have shown a vulability to Severus that still holds to his charactor. I want to believe that he is capable of much more and that Hermoine can love him in return. She needs to just love, like she is capable of doing, but She also needs to truely find herself.

Update is coming... working on it. Not too soon, but it's coming (am currently re-uploading a bunch of chapters on mage that were lost during their move... by the time that's done the next chapter should be upload ready).
I've spent most of the last week reading through this fic. I had to take a couple of breaks to think about the story as it has made quit an impression on me. I believe it has to be the most interesting response to the marriage law challenge I've read so far. The way you deal with the issues of freedom to choose your own life, to decide over your own body, to submit yourself to someone else, and what constitutes concent has been very interesting and thought provoking. Your charactarisations of both Severus and Hermione are very well crafted and it has been a pleasure to see how they have developed as characters throughout the story. You never made her older or mature than her biological age and you never made Snape any easier than JKR gives us reason to believe he is. I hope you will find the time and motivation to finish this. It truly is an amazing story.

I love your story. Please more!
Please make a happy ending for Severus and Hermione! Please, please, please? Jeez, if anyone needs counseling, it's Harry the Interfering Twerp. This story isn't my usual thing, but I got addicted and now I'll shamelessly plead for Severus and Hermione to live happily every after ... in whatever way they see fit. Please?
update, update update, update!!!!
Amazing fic! Different, but still great. I can't wait to see how you'll have Hermione process things, and Dumbledore and Harry too! Please post a new chapter soon

And just where is the next chapter?! I need more!
We neeeeed more story my husband and i have been left compleatly dispondent all we can talk about is what she should do. Oh and we firmly believe she is suffering from stockholm syndrom he was clearly using brain washing technic's no wonder she is a mess . She needs to talk to treva .This story really pulls you in every direction i had to stop at one point and take a break i was getting depressed my husband and i agree if we were her at one point we would have stoped caring if we lived or died that said awsome story we need more
Oh, thankyou for updating! So, a case of realizing what he had, only just a little too late. Dunderhead! Well I, for one, am hoping for an eventual reconciliation. I'm such an optimist that I believe there is still a chance for the couple. Besides, he finally said, "I love you" and meant it. That little sparkle of enlightenment has to have some impact. I want to know if Hermione will eventually insist on the two of them participating in some marriage/sex counseling. That would be an interesting scenario. How far is Severus willing to go to show Hermione he loves her? Ha!
I love this story. You've captured the feelings of a submissive so perfectly. Wanting to please your Master, but being terrified of loosing yourself in the process. The descriptions of Snape and Hermione's scenes are so accurate, the most accurate I've come across. Thankyou for this story; please keep writing it. I'll beg if I have to. *grin*
fantastic again, I was hoping for an update for ages.
Wow, now Hermione and Snape have a lot to talk about. There have been situations in this story I've really been unsure of, but you have andled them well and as always your style is a pleasure to read.A little friendly advice - UPDATE MORE OFTEN!
Ah, finally free--almost. I agree. I feel sorry for Lucius and hope he's not really punished (just forced to stay away). Hehe! Ha, finally someone else has seen the type of stuff Snape puts Hermione through. I'm glad that he did. Sorry, still hate submissive Hermione and hope that she'll lay down some ground rules and maybe reverse the rolls. I usually hate Hermione / Snape with others, but if you go the Harry route, that wouldn't be so bad for me. (closet hp/hg fan!)Unless Snape loves her, then I'm all for Snape in hopes of "reform."
Oh no, caught smiling, that will never do!
You can't stop there! I need to know more! Write faster!
Brava! I was completely surprised by the identity of your murderer... and, yet, you've written his identity with such plausability I wonder why it wasn't obvious before. Talk about long-term consequences... you've woven a fascinating air of karma within your murderer's movements that I find myself saddened by his eventual destiny, even if it might be justice. In addition to that, I also liked Severus' little epiphany from what he'd seen in Harry's head. Intriguing as always.
HIM?? Perfect!! Who would've guessed (not me)? This story is great fun. I've so enjoyed reading it. So far so good on keeping Severus snarky, mean, nicely evil. I'm glad he's realizing his feelings for Hermione, but I won't believe it if he turns into a cuddly kissy-poo teddy bear. PLEASE don't let that happen. Looking forward to your update.
