In the wake of the fall of Voldemort, a new law threatens Muggleborn women with forced marriages, including Hermione Granger who must make the best of a bad situation by marrying Severus Snape. This story is that of the long and rocky road to eventually find contentment.
Winner of the Multifaceted Award, round three, Courage category. Thanks!

all that for that sick end? god
Gods If I were in her shoes with such an uncompromising bastard I would turn into a scary animqagus and either eat him or stay in my animal form permanently! I think I'd just turn into Nagini and bite his head off! He BETTER compromise soon and more than just a little!

I was just thinking of some of the things in this story... been a while since I finished it, but at the time I wrote this I thought he was farily reasonable. Ironically enough, I'm in the middle of a divorce right now. It's interesting how much of this story ended up being unintentionally autobiographical (well, not all, but some themes).

First I would like to say that this story is amazing. Second, thank you for putting in these warnings. I myself understand the dangers inherent in such play. Many people fail to grasp the pleasure that can be found in such matters. Again thank you keep up the great writing.
I've just recently picked up on this story and i can honestly say that it was very good. Though i am one of the ones who always wants them to end up together...i never would have imagined it in that way. You are a very good writter to make me feel the way i did when i was reading parts of the story. i felt sad and even angry/ furious(lol yea i'm kinda a dork like that sometimes). The ending may not have been the one i hoped for but it did fit with the story and is def something Severus would do.

I think Severus didn't want Treva to see that Hermione was sleeping in her room and assume that there was something wrong in her marriage. Maybe I am wrong but that seem way more logical than Severus being nice.
I started reading your story at Ashwinder, then I found it here. I have to be really honest - I couldn't read some of the chapters. I was too squicked. But I feel it is unjust not to leave a review. So, I can say that your writing is amazing, because sometimes I felt so nauseous I simply couldn't read. I consider this the mark of a talented writer, one that can make her readers so immersed into the story they even feel sick, amazed or touched. Good luck on your future commitments, I wish you lots of success!
I have been a fan of this story since the first few chapters were posted. It engaged and challenged the reader unlike so many other stories. I have always felt that some of the more extreme negative comments in some of the reviews were not fair, considering that other stories are more explicit and violent - however they are a backhanded compliment to your ability as a writer - many people seemed to forget that it was fiction! I have read both endings. As a believer in free will, I do prefer the other ending - however in the context of this story and the characters you have created - this ending is more probable. - I'm sorry to hear that you're taking down your stories but - good luck with the original fiction!
Both endings are great and both can fit with the story, in one she grows into her own person and walks away from the relationship, in the other, despite being influenced by the potion she is happily unaware.
great chapter , she needs time to decide who she is and what she wants out of life, even if she loves him that is not enough by itself if she has no self identity
Poor Harry is really torn , he doesn't trust either Severus or Lucius, but Hermione is defending them both!
Severus is jealous of Harry, is it just possessiveness or does he have deeper feelings as yet unrecognised?
Poor Lucius , he really is a wreck!
Exciting chapter!
It is like they have skipped the first part of the relationship.. the heady "in love" bit , to the companionship with benefits real life sort of relationship, the love is there but they don't recognise it.
I wonder if turning the fridge off is going to get him into trouble?
Nothing like a bit of nesting, but what's a gyro?
still hopeful for a happy ending when they both come to their senses and get their act sorted out LOL!
a wonderfull story, I really felt for the charicters, you actualy made me cry not an easy thing to do and it is a sign of a wonderful auther who can make a reader care so much about the chariceters. thank you for the wonderfull story.
well that's one way of revising!
My dear Rachel, this was a wild ride indeed and I'm glad I stuck with you until the end. I still remember some years ago when I pleaded you to update, and when you even sent me a chapter before posting because I wouldn’t be around to read it. *sigh* Is such a pity you have decided to move on and delete your stories, but I can understand your decision since I have felt the need to walk away as well.
Well, I have expected for a long time for this story, controversial as it has always been, to come to the right end and give the couple the ending they truly deserve, and let me tell you, hon, that I didn’t find this version of the ending disgusting or horrible (ok, perhaps it disturbed me a little), in fact it was quite consistent with the way you managed this story. The point is that it doesn’t fit the way I see Hermione, and being her my more beloved character in the fandom I have to look for the ending that suits the way I see her and the way I want to see her after all this ordeal. Of course this means that the ending on Ashwinder is the one I prefer, the one that seems right for me.
I expect every kind of reactions for both endings since most of the fandom wants to seem them together whatever it takes, whilst the other part will be scandalised about Severus’ decision. Oh well, as much as we tend to make stories in the fandom our own and try to have a saying about what the author decided, this is still only yours and I’m glad you took the chance to experiment with two endings for your own satisfaction. I congratulate you for the endurance you showed during this long process and for finishing this story that I’m sure changed the way many readers see the couple and the fandom.
Only thing I have left to say is thank you, for this and for being a wonderful writer. *hugs*shit! ahhhh!!! this is so stressful! but so good! i really hope sev doesnt do what he's about to do. ugh.
also: you are going to finish someday right? dont want to get my hopes up... it's been a year.
I've just discovered your story and it is really great, I've spent the week-end reading it instead of working...
I liked the way you combined BDSM and psychological developement for your characters, it really shows how both Hermione and Severus struggle with their relationship (or lack of it).
I see you have not updated for quite a few months, please, continue this story; it is too good to let it be unfinished.
okay, since it's been so long, I figure you really can't be arsed revisiting this fic and hauling the characters out of their misery.But.Instead of writing the last part of the story, maybe you could just maybe possibly put a very breif summary of what *was* going to happen in the review section or something? Just so we all know and can let it all rest in peace or whatever? I'm just so curious as to what would have happened to those two.
hello: Greetings from e-nuff, (Not unfinished fanfics) we are here to remind you that this is the month of Finish your fanfic, please give us a relly happy update to this wonderful story, so we can say our mision has been acomplished!!!!!!bye!!!!!
