Believe it or not, when I wrote this story in November of 2009 (it was my NaNoWriMo entry), I didn't know what to name it. Since I was going through so much turmoil, I jokingly called it "Heaven or Hell". The name stuck and seemed apt by the time I finished the story 30 days later. Thanks for reading. ^_^

Interesting start. Of course any story that starts with Snape not having died is good. :) Can't wait to see where this goes.

I like the story, but this chapter makes absolutely no sense. MM thinks that SS/HG might be angry with her and she wants to apologize and repair whatever damage she's created. To do this, MM invades SS's privacy, makes SS/HG very uncomfortable by smirkingly butting into SS/HG's personal sex life (like a controlling, busy-body aunt who has no social sense, self-control or respect for a younger adult's personal boundaries--let alone the personal boundaries of a professional colleague and subordinate), deliberately makes a childish and disrespectful power play by sitting in SS's favorite chair, and inserts herself into their personal weekend time when it's obviously grossly unwelcome? If anything, SS/HG should be telling MM to mind her own business and get the h*ll out. By doing what she did, MM cemented just how little respect she holds for SS/HG.I don't see either SS or HG putting up with that for the simple reason that they're not children.

Yikes! Between the 'Severus War', prospective mother-in-laws (gets image of circling sharks with really big teeth), and escape routes blocked by the probation, that's quite a... situation. Sometimes 'Bloody Hell' is the only thing that can be said.

Ohhh! I get it now! That's an idea, although I don't get into it in this story. Maybe a side story--like some of my one-shots in this universe--if the right plot bunny strikes. ^_^
Hmm... Will this be the beginning of more for Hermione and Severus? I find myself quite curious to see how you finally break the ice between the two of them, since they're so comfortable here in your story as friends.

Ah, a reconciliation between Narcissa and Andromeda! I love it. I wonder, in canon, just how long it takes before the two remaining Black sisters learn to forgive and forget. (One of the many reasons I find JKR's epilogue unbelievable, since the it would make Teddy an important point of commonality between Harry and Narcissa, and thus Harry and Draco.)

Oh, I have to agree. Being Draco's 2nd cousin, Teddy would probably want to get to know him better if only to understand the division between the three sisters. Of course, he's luckier than Harry. Teddy had his grandmother and an extended family in the Weasleys if the Malfoys wanted nothing to do with him. However, I can't see that happening. JLR's epilogue didn't go far enough. It felt like she was tired and just threw all the loose ends in together and called it 'done'. ^_^
How appropriate that the motto of the Muggle University of Cambridge is Hinc lucem et pocula sacra - From here, light and sacred potions. Hermione's Muggle qualification would be a BA, not a BSc, whatever her subject of study.
