Reviews for Heaven or Hell
Liked this chapter very much, I can't remember if I reviewed before but I suppose I"m making up for that now lo. Anyways I really am glad Severus is starting to make amends with Minerva. I am wondering how she will take the news of him being alive?
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
That will be answered in Chapter 4. Glad you're enjoying my little story. ^_^
I read your story today as I am a WIP wimp (burned by too many abandoned stories). I enjoyed its light and airy feel and your choice of villains. I think you have left the door open to explore several side stories -- like how Skeeter gets her inside info or how Kingsley caught his leakers or how many more masterys Hermione ended up getting.
Thanks for keeping it clean and free of murder / mayhem!!
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
I agree with you about abandoned WiPs. That's why I asked Velvet Song if I could finish her story (and write a sequel). I am toying with one shots about Skeeter and Kingsley, but I will tell you that I think (not really sure) that Hermione only gets the two masterys. After all, she's teaching full-time now. It would be harder to study full-time and teach as well. Of course, the door is always open. ^_^I'm not a really big fan of murder / mayhem except where it is integral to the story. Even then, I prefer it done genteely (think Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, or Dorothy L. Sayers). ^_^

I guess I was kind of hoping for "I enjoy being a girl" from The Flower Drum Song. For some reason I an just imagine it...
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
I'm sorry. I didn't think of that one, but Rod Stewart's version of this song kept running through my mind while I was writing the chapter. ^_^

ya-ay! I'm alive again! And Heaven seems to have a lot of Malfoy Manor scenerie. Yay! Thanks for the post, I saw that the story is in queue, so...Yay! Yes, I did eat sugar, Yes, it was cookies, Yes, they were bunny-shaped....notice, were not are...Smile :). "Cheers",

Oh, heavens. And I thought my nieces and nephews were hyper. *grin* Thanks for the review. (And lay off the cookies for a while, okay? Severus might like some when Narcissa and Hermione allow him solid food again.) ^_^
Looks promising. I can't wait to see what happens when the world finds out he's alive. And I love your version of the Malfoys, especially Draco and his interactions with Hermione, though I confess I'm a SSHG shipper... Keep the updates coming
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Thank you for the review, but just wait until they get back to Hogwarts. ^_~
I'm enjoying this a lot! Hermione's antivenin method seems very sensible to me.
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
It's the standard treatment for snakebite so it seemed logical to use it for Nagini's poison. Thanks for writing. ^_^
Aw thanks for such an entertaining story. Sorry to see it end.

Oh, it's not over yet. *grin* I'm writing a sequel. Stay tuned. ^_^

Well, it's nice to be right for a change, and Severus and Hermione look like they should have a wonderful life together. Minerva may regret being 'buzzed' in the morning when everything looks like it may have been her imagination, but no doubt her co-conspirators will help her remember.I'm curious though, why did Ron smirk when Molly comforted him? Was it because he knew that Hermione had her heart set on someone else?
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Ron had HIS eye on someone else, but Molly was pushing for Hermione. Of course, he'd prefer Hermione marry anyone who isn't Slytherin. He's doomed to disappoint, though. *grin* The epilogue is in the queue and I'm writing a sequel right now counting down to the wedding. Imagine this: Elizabeth and Narcissa team up to plan the wedding with Molly's dubious help, while the Hogwarts gang are also getting in on the action. Can you say elopement? Severus certainly hopes so. ^_^

I tend to think there may be an engagement announcement come New Year's Day, but I don't think it's the one Molly or Narcissa are hoping for. ;)
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Probably not. At least Matthew and Elizabeth are letting Hermione make up her own mind. ^_^

About time the pair of them stopped being theoretical and decided that a ~cough~ 'hands-on' approach was far more satisfying. I wonder how long it'll take Poppy and Ginny to spread the good news? :D
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Not long. This is Hogwarts, after all. Empirical data is looked upon quite favorably in scientific circles. ^_^

It seems the triumvirate of matchmakers is in full swing already. ;)Should be interesting to see what other inducements they have up their collective sleeves, and if Hermione and Severus can sound any more like each other than they do already.

Oh, yeah. Let the games begin. ^_^

Molly needs to learn to butt out, and so does Rita. I wonder what Severus did to her to make her so vitriolic? Hermione I can understand, as it would be hard to not dig up as much dirt as possible on a woman who caught her and imprisoned her in a jam jar. I wonder if Hermione has a spare jar handy? :p
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Rita lives to spew vitrolic. It doesn't matter who, she'll wield a hatchet with easy grace. Molly? What can I say? Molly is Molly. ^_^

It's good to see Severus enjoying his reading again, but nothing beats something you've more or less picked out yourself. Poor Lucius, his fortune is depleting every time Narcissa goes within cooee of a bookshop. ;pI spent a significant amount of time and money in Blackwells the last time I was in London. ;)
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
If I ever get to London, I intend to go to Blackwell's and Waterstone's and all the other booksellers I researched for this story. They just sound so fascinating. It's too bad I can't go to Flourish and Blotts, though. ^_^

Poor Severus, a probation without books or the access to buy more of them, would be more of a punishment I would think. Thankfully it seems he's now discovered Hermione's stash. :)No wonder Poppy wanted to buy the ingredients fromt eh Apothecary in Diagon Alley. More book buying power!
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Several other reviewers made the suggestion of a Hogwarts Book Club. I think that's been covered in other writers' stories, though. *grin* However, I'm all for sharing books with others who are interested. ^_^

I've never heard of an ocicat either, but I did a spot of googling and they're gorgeous looking. :)Poor Hermione, two whole weeks with Severus, and Minerva 'chaparoning.' ;)It seems Rita has sharpened the quill shaped hatchet again and no doubt will find some more innuendo and gossip to fill the pages of her gossip column. :(
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Of course she will. It's her innuendo that sells papers, so I don't think the editor will be firing her anytime soon. ^_^

Severus' revenge was very sweet and perfectly laced for Rita Skeeter, just as it should be. Draco's teasing and the resultant curls are just gorgeous (and I can't get, 'The Good Ship Lollipop' out of my head now).Hermione's growing regard and the regard of her peers and elders is a fair reward for the vagaries fo the last few years. She and Draco do squabble like siblings, but it's the delicate dance she and Severus are engaged in that will hopefully heat up soon.
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
I believe lasting relationships are built slowly and it shows in my writing. Once she and Draco started working together, they discovered they had a lot in common and the relationship built from there. Like Draco, a relationship with Severus would take time and a lot of work, but it's worth it. ^_^

I'm sure she's in love with someone else, Draco, but the pair of them are being obtuse currently. ;)I like the fact that when Hermione goes up a notch in her Transfiguration path to a mastery, it's said that, they're 'pulling a Severus.' Filius dancing on his toes would be a sight to see, but surely the Ministry will start querying Hermione's rapid rise shortly?I still want to pin Rita to a corkboard. :p
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
*grin* So does everyone. She has that effect on people. As Minerva pointed out once before, the Ministry has no say in the matter of apprentices and their masters. All the Ministry does is file the paperwork. ^_^

I do like the fact that Minerva keeps her two accomplices stashed while she gains the payment from the Ministry. Hermione's Mastery, with Filius and Septima vying for a go at teaching Hermione are funny and I do wonder if Hermione's progression through a transfiguration apprenticeship will be just as swift as through Potions. The idea of the teachers partying isn't so hard to imagine, though no doubt Hermione has rarely seen this hidden world. And the kiss on the cheek and offer of friendship? The start of something far more satisfying I should think - for both of them. :D
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
It wouldn't do to have them in the room, but they did deserve to know what would happen with the Ministry. I think Hermione needs to make up her mind what she wants to do with the rest of her life, and in a hurry, don't you? ^_^

~giggles~ Poor Hermione, battered from all sides by students who not only remind her of Neville, Harry and Ron, but herself.Severus' laughter and levity are seemingly the only bright spots in his caged existence. I love the way Severus and Minerva banter with each other - poaching and biting back at each other, every step of the way. :)
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
And now she knows what it's like to be a teacher. The dedication most have for their profession, despite the low pay and problem students, is something I admire greatly. ^_^

Severus seems much more contented with an apprentice/Journeywoman, and it does free him up to supervise Hermione's potions. Draco as a Healer is a good choice. After all the death and despair of the Voldemort years, he too seems to relish being able to follow the career he wants to. I also like the fact that Narcissa and Elizabeth Granger get on so well.
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Hard to believe they could become best friends, isn't it? But then, they have a lot in common. ^_^

Poor Draco, must be a nasty shock to actually do some real homework for a change. :pI think Poppy's right, that was a positively good spot of privateering on Lucius - one that will pay substantial dividends. More than one way to skin the Wizengamot it seems. If only skinning Rita Skeeter was on the agenda too, though it may well be if Hermione can pin the bug to a corkboard.
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
I really think Lucius knew what he was getting into, don't you? This way he could save face and help his friend at the same time. ^_^

At the rate Minerva and Severus are going, they'll clean out the other professors quite handily. ;) I like the idea of the side bets, with Severus getting Minerva to hold the lionshare (pardon the pun) of his wager on Hermione's results.I think it would have added either some levity or a stern talking to from Minverva if Severus had said, "Boo!" I wonder what you're going to have Draco sing? I vaguely remember, but I guess I'll find out.

Oh, yeah! Inside information does help, doesn't it? ^_^

Ooops! It seems everyone is trying to poach Severus' students from under his nose. His rapid fire notes to Minerva are gorgeous, as is her threat (real or imagined) that she would be worse than both Dumbledore and Voldemort combined.Severus' acquiescence means he knows the answer to that one. ;)
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
Minerva is a force to be reckoned with, for sure. ^_^

Poor Severus, unmarried and henpecked from all sides, including the elves. :DTrust Lucius to see an advantage in intelligent grandchildren, but I rather think Hermione's interests, given her impassioned defence of a certain professor, lie in other directions. ;)
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
As you will see later on, it isn't just Lucius who's wanting intelligent grandchildren. ^_^

It makes sense that there has to be some restitution from Severus, or the Wizengamot would not be seen to be doing their jobs. As it is, five years may seem a short time relative to everything else, but it's yet another yolk for Severus to bear. Hi s one sided conversation with Minerva was just gorgeous though. He hardly got a word in edgewise. :p
Response from MsTree (Author of Heaven or Hell)
