Right. I would like to state, for the record, that I WILL finish "She Married Her Choice". I will. Assuming I am in control of my own destiny and accomplishments, that is. ;-)
Unfortunately, real life (mainly an attention craving three-year-old) and inspiration have been keeping me from creative endeavors for a while now. I do foresee a time when that shall pass, but until then, I ask for your patience.
Thank you!
Reviews for She Married Her Choice
It's only Monday morning......poor Hermione......
She will get through it....I have faith.....
I love this beginning. It makes what we read at the end of the 1st story make more sense, she married him but it is not going to be easy. Thanks for making a sequel.
I want to know what praire home episode inspired "xavier onassis".
Well done. Although I am dissappointed that the last chapter didn't yeild more time with hubby. This story is turly fantastic. I can hardly wait to read the next installment. I need to know what Snape is feeling about Hermione. Thanks for a great one!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
There will lots of time with hubby coming up. Can't guarantee it'll all be good time, but there will be time. And, if everything goes according to plan, you'll find out what Snape is/was feeling about Hermione in the next chapter. If it doesn't go according to plan, it'll be the chapter after that. Thank you!

I'm such an addict. I check back often to see if more is written! Good luck and happy (fast) writing!
Holy smokes, Avery. What a chapter! What a writer! Not only is Snape done to absolute, irrational, snarky, darlingly damaged perfection, Lucius is a completely differentiated cold bastard! Bravo! So often Snape and Lucius voices sort of run together. This was not the case here. Who are you and why can you write both Ginny Weasely and Lucius Malfoy so well?PLEASE make this gem a long story rather than a short one. I love it dearly and a quick cap up would break my heart. I am thoroughly impressed. Good show!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
I think I can promise there won't be a quick cap to this story. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm even capable of quick cap-ups! Thank you for the encouragement! *starts muse hunting*
Oh my goodness, this story is such a delight. Usually, an author has (or thinks she has) either a Snape voice or a Hermione voice. You, oh rarest of rare birds, seem to have both in spades. When Hermione sent Snape to the infirmary for a VD checkup a classic fanfic moment was born. I really love this story. I know that fanfic gets a bad rap, but I want you to know that what you have created is high quality, stand alone, wonderful stuff. You go, averygoodun.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
LOL! Thank you, oh wonderful reviewer! You have brought a smile to my face! It's reviews like yours that make me want to hunt down that muse of mine and farcefeed her chocolate until she's willing to cooperate. *goes to check chocolate stock*
You will certainly have to write more of this! It's a wonderful story with many unforseen plot twists. I'm hooked!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Well, I certainly intend to write more of it! *grumbles about wayward muses*
Thank you for the encouragement! Hopefully it'll help compel my muse intoproductivity again!
I've been neglecting everything around me to read this story in one 'go'. What an awesome story!I'm glad I didn't find it before THIS chapter was up -- I could not have stood the tension. Manipulative people are truly difficult to handle, and Hermione has a lot to do, esp since the last thing Severus wants is 'being handled'. She's doing very well but is Severus changing enough? I'm still expecting that Severus is/was impersonating Teddy with Polyjuice. To be close to her, not because he suspects that she'd cheat, but still unacceptable. What are the new powers Hermione has developed -- should we assume her training with Dumbledore to be like a jedis' apprenticeship?
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you for such a wonderful compliment! I appreciate it very much! I appreciated it when you first wrote it, too. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond.I like the Polyjuice theory, although I doubt that Severus could pull that off, what with them being in the same place at the same time every now and again. ;-)The new powers are just expantions of her old ones. It's just that she's reached a new level. And yes, her training is an awful lot like a Jedi's apprenticeship, although we won't be seeing any of that training as it isn't pertinent to this storyline. :-)
I wish she wouldn't just assume the worst about things that people say; that's more of a Harry thing. Glad she told Severus about Lucius (at least a little), hope Severus finds that room and secures it or fixes it. Poor Dobby, not getting much reward for saving her life and such a cost. Nice to see Nott again. Thank you for the new chapter!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
She only assumes the worst about Snape (well, and Lucius), but that's because he does like messing with her head ever so slightly. And once she stabilizes both physically and emotionally she won't necessarily assume the worst.
Hermione should have told Severus more than she did, but she was pissed off at him.
Severus will definitely find that room, though his intention isn't to fix it.
And DObby will get a reward of sorts. He will recover and be highly praised for his actions, even if it's only mentioned in passing.
Thank you for the review, June! I'm glad you're back on your feet again!
Glad to see the update. Confusing ending to the chapter though. More soon please.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Confusing how? I'm writing as fast as I can, so hopefully the next update won't taske too long. Thanks!
Squeeee for the update. I rushed over here as quick as my browser would let me! Excellent - Snape is here, but you summarised it well - the questions he did not ask. I want revenge on Malfoy! The scene is all there ready, I want to see it played out. Wand, shoe, robes, Malfoy, Snape. Can't wait for more. I also like the way this chapter was dialogue-driven. Nice. warty xxx
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yay! I'm glad you like my story!
Revenge on Malfoy... Why does everyone want revenge on Malfoy? It's not like he's the villian or anything. All I'll say is that I think the rules of the MLC say Snape and Lucius have to duel at some point, and I take rules very seriously. Thank you, warty!
I left a review, but when I hit submit it said this page cannot be displayed. I checked, and my review isn't up, so I'm assuming it didn't work. If it did, I'm sorry for the double review. I can't remember if on this site you can review the same chapter twice or not...I'm glad the week of hell is over. The Nott thing was definitely very interesting...The moment with Harry was touching, and poor Ginny! I have to say my favorite part was with Severus (I love Severus!).I was rather proud of Harry and Severus - they kept the antagonizing to a minimum. I wonder if that'll last, or will they stop once Hermione leaves the hospital wing? I can't wait to find out (and read more SS/HG interaction *woo*).Please update soon!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
No double review, and even if it were, no worries.
Yes, that week is over. It's not going to be sunshine and roses, but then, Hermione is married to Snape. I expect Snape is allergic to sunshine and roses! Harry and Severus will have to reach some accord considering Hermione is dear to both of them. How peaceful that accord is... that is the question. Thank you for reviewing. There'll be a lot more SS/HG interaction from now on. Cheers!
Response from Melissa_Snape (Reviewer)
Erm....this is the first time I realized I could respond, and it's the first website I ever saw I could. I just reveling in the awesomeness that is this site. But I do want to say that I'm glad there's going to be more SS/HG interaction. I love your Severus though, even if he isn't sunshine and roses. Keep up the awesome work!
I think Snape's going to the room right now to kick some Malfoy ass (so I hope). Teehee! That would prove something to Hermione. No, then she'd probably go through yet another crazy bit of thought process thinking it means something bad only to realize later that she may have jumped to conclusions and it could be a good thing instead.LOLteehee
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Now why would you think that? Hermione might surprise you. Her attitude is bound to improve (hell, it can only improve!) so she might not be quite as unreasonable.
But, of course, that's from my perspective. LOL!
Thank you, Sun!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Reviewer)
I am such a SnapeHead. Most people say it's b/c I'm just like him.I don't know that that is a compliment though. I'll have to look into that!!! Hehehe. Nah, I'm sure she'll pull through. I just like to tease a bit. *Sooper Ebil Death Eater SW*
aaahh! She wasn't supposed to be left alone! Oh, dear, I have a bad feeling about this. Can't wait for the next installment.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
No, she wasn't supposed to be left alone, but her week from hell is over, so probably nothing bad will happen to her. I'll try to get my muse into gear for the next chapter asap! Thanks!
Squee! (Can I squee again?) I was so glad that Snape finally appeared here. I love her interactions with him. Yay! The week from Hell is OVER! I know, not a smooth path, but still... hopefully a bit better! Come on, Avery, don't leave us here! Write! Write!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
You may squee all you like. Yes, the hellish week is over! Yay! Also, there should be very few chapters here on out with no Snape sightings.
Thank you, Ginny! I'm writing as fast as I can!
Oh my god... how did I not continue reading this??? I can't lost so long ago and just didn't read any updates!!! What the hell was wrong with me???
*head desk*
Fantastic update... and I really can't wait till the next... this was really a suitable sweet moment between Hermione and Severus!!!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
LOL! Thank you! I'm glad you're still enjoying the story!
I would love nothing more right now than to shower you with compliments and praise for this story, but I fear that I lack the capability (and the vocabulary). How best to articulate my feelings? I suppose the word 'speechless' will do. Truth be told, this is not my first attempt at reviewing this piece. I could finally tear my eyes away from the computer screen when I finished reading "Marry a Choice," and decided that, no matter the hour, as it was quite late when I'd finished, I needed to say something, it was just too good. I had just finished the longest review I had ever written (longer than this one, actually) when...my internet failed me. Long story (somewhat) short, I flipped out, stubbed my toe, then climbed into bed in quite a state.I would point out my favorite moments of the story (Sev's 'hot rod' hahaha) by way of copy and paste, but that would undoubtedly be far, far too long. All I can really say is that words don't often fail me, and here I am, incapable of telling you how much I loved this.Needless to say, I'm impressed.Appreciative of the time and effort put into this story,Sue:o)fuuuuck, it is so good.
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Ill admit I debated whether to respond to this review you've left or not. I was tempted to not answer it just so I could see it anytime I wanted without having to dig at all, because it makes me smile and giggle whenever I read it.
Thank you, Sue! Thank you very much! I'm tickled pink that you're enjoying this story so much, and I hope that I can continue to amuse you through the rest of it.
I really appreciate your enthusiasm!
Ah! I don't think he's OOC. He loves her and he wants to win her - and he sends her a wild rose, an ink splotch, and some doodles - who can ask for more than that?I adored their dance, kiss and hug at his favourite spot. Thanks for the update, Avery!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yes, well, you're reasonable! :-D Thank you so much!
Cool! reread the story to this point and have to say that the second read was worth the effort. They've come a long way and still have some to go, but they seem to be going in the right direction. I'm eager to see what happens at the trial. Hope to see more very soon! Cheers!
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thanks! Yes, they have come a Loooong Way, and there is plenty far to go. You'll know they're on solid ground when they can lose a bit of the politeness and still be okay with each other. Right now there's an awful lot of self-censorship still occuring.
Hopefulliy I'll be able to write the trial so it's interesting (or avoidable). Cheers!
***squee*** I just loved this chapter. The tension, the laughter, the romance, this chapter has it all!!! Whoo Hoooo!!! Love it! I really loved the dynamics between our favorite couple. I thought Teddy was a little obtuse. He is a Slytherin for goodness sakes, of course he knows they started it! Maybe he's just out to hurt her since he lost. I loved the scene at the head table and the walk was wonderful. I am eagerly awaiting more. Thank goodness your muse is back from Lalaland. Thanks, MuggleMom
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Thank you! Yes, Teddy is a little obtuse in this chapter, but he... well, he's struggling with his own problems. Besides which, he knows which side of the bread is buttered, so he has a hard time believing that his friends could be so dense as to disregard that invaluable grease.
Thank you! I'll admit I cackled while writing the head table scene. It was written before most of the chapter, actually. Now, hopefully the Muse will remain by my side as I tackle the next chapter, which is looking to be an arduous task.
Cheers!
I'm glad to see that you are updating again. I love this story. It is nice to see the evolution of a relationship. I can't wait to see what Hermione and her new wand will get up to. May the Force be With You. lol
Response from averygoodun (Author of She Married Her Choice)
Yes. I'm hoping to get this story done by July 21st, but seeing as that's creeping up pretty fast...
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you very much for finally making me smile.
I'm very happy for Hermione that Severus had taken measures to prevent an unwanted pregancy, but I'm very sorry for Ginny. I can empathize. I was married at 18 and found myself pregant at 20 though we had been using contrception. It did change everything. I didn't get to finish my secondary education because of it.
I LOVE my profession, I am the breastfeedinglady and I don't know what I would have ended up doing instead, but I still wish very much I had not had children before I finished collage. And I am certain I would have found a fulfilling career even if I hadn't ended up teaching childbirth classes, being a doula, loving my Mommy and Me groups and a practicing Lactation Consultant. I went into these professons because new motherhood had been so difficult for me and my second birth was one of the most traumatic events of my life. Bless God, my child lived and so did I, and that experience birthed a passion in me to help other women. I wouldn't do it the same way if I could go back though. I would have still waited to have children and maybe not had children at all. Poor Ginny... I'm very glad Harry can afford a nanny, and I am certain grandma Molly would be only too happy to take a turn watching the little person while mommy finishes her education. Harry could be a house dad too. Since he doesn't have to work it might be a good choice. I'm seeing more parents choosing this and it works just fine.
Yey! No overtly stupid behavior!
What's up with Vector?
I think I know what's up with Teddy. Hermione still doesn't understand that most men are not Harry and Ron. They don't go around making sisters out of girls. They become attracted. It may be a survival of the species. Girls think he's her best friend and brother then he finally starts to suduce her and she eventually see's him as marriage material or they stop being friends.
By the time we grow up and realize that men only socialize with women they find attractive, were silly enough to be flattered as the idealism of youth fades and we accept that Cinderella is just a fairytale and men are mostly asses.
Thank God that in my personal experience, in the workplace, most professional men can behave in a business like and friendly way to female colleagues that has nothing to do with sexual attraction. Am I deluded? They still don't socialize with the fat girls but are at least polite during business exchanges.
Which once again leads to, what's got Vector's nickers in a twist? Was she always cold to Severus or just since he married Hermione, or just since the love bite?
And I'm really disappointed with Draco. All of his polite behavior toward Hermione was false and just a way to further his plot. That he's still a bigot towards muggles is sad. I can't say I blame him for killing his father in revenge for his father killing his mother. It's a wonder it doesn't happen more often in real life.
Much nicer chapter! Since you set us straight regarding Severus and Professor Vector I was thinking maybe she was attracted to Hermione and was upset over Hermione rather than Severus, but then I thought she surely knew about Hermione and Ron. But maybe not. Maybe just she saw Hermione with Harry and Ron for 6 years and never seeming to have a serioius boyfriend, even though Harry and Ron dated girls, and had hoped maybe Hermione was gay.
I am really happy about the "Death Rider's" charm from Ron. I am also happy that Hermione and Severus have resumed marital relations. They are unconventional people and I've known of other unusual couples that live separately. I do think though, that both of them hope for the day when they will live together to share life as soul mates. Haven't most of the couples since the beginning of civilization have been arranged marriages or marriages of convenience? It's fairly new in the scope of the history human culture that some women on the planet are afforded the right to choose to marry for love or not at all and not have to remain with her family if she chooses not to marry. I would say most of those couples managed to find love.
Thank you for easing up on the angst this chapter. It's also a relief to see Hermione finally learning to not be offended at every little thing. I was also proud to see her set her boundries when Severus became violent. That was a womanly thing to do. She was also sorry for the right reasons afterwords and behaved maturely when Severus came to apologize. I am also pleased that Severus did make the move to appologize so quickly and it didn't drag out for 2 weeks of misunderstandings.
Please pass the Xanex. This stress in creeping into my dreams.
