Well I can certainly say that was just what I needed this afternoon after the day I've had!  I'm thinking I would be much the same as Hermione in that situation - any thoughts of hesitation and waiting I'd had would most definitely have gone right out the window seeing Severus the next morning, so I can't blame her in the least!BTW: I'm sure Severus would be able to tick all my boxes!  :-)
