Poor guys...they want the same thing but are fighting as if they were on different sides.  Sounds like the angst was short lived though.  They (especially he) are so worried about revealing emotions and putting themselves out there which is funny because I think if you knew the person you were with was your soulmate, it would be much easier to open up withour fear of rejection.  But I forget who we are talking about...I would expect no different!  The very end seems promising.  If only she knew how far that smile would get her, she might have given it days ago.

And yay, a Barry Manilow fan!  This is really strange but, over the last few days, I've been working my way through my Barry Manilow collection (yes, sadly, I have one!) & they've even been talking about him on the radio recently & playing his stuff a lot!  Maybe he's suddenly become cool again (not sure that he ever was 'cool' come to think of it!) But I still maintain he wrote some of the most romantic stuff ever!  (I personally just love Somewhere in The Night and Weekend in New England.)Thanks for the lovely update.  Are we in for some lab sex by any chance?
