Loved the character of Val--"her voice the result of a seventy a day habit"!  That was priceless!  And poor Severus, being caught in the waiting room by Hermione.  Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.  Still, he shouldn't feel terribly embarrassed--obviously she was there for the very same thing, so neither one has anything to hold over the other.  Even steven.  They should instead take the opportunity to bitch together about how they can't find anybody halfway decent, and what's wrong with everybody else anyway?  Somehow I don't think it will be quite that simple, though...  Sev has an uncanny ability to complicate matters.

Great wsay to get past all the awkwardness. Loved Hermoine's speech and eager to read the next update.

I like how you made her act the next day. I can't stand when he treats her badly in stories and she doesn't make him pay for it, and sometimes even ends up apologising herself when it's all his fault! I think this was much more believable, especially on Hermione's part.

Author's Response: lol.. Taken from real life, that one - I know how horrible I feel after an argument with mr neelix, but it doesn't mean I aoplogise if I'm not at fault! It does make me feel rubbish though, so ergo = Hermione!

I'm sure there are many people out there who just haven't worked out the obvious.  And, for two intelligent people, these two are being particularly dense!However, I have every faith in you that you'll end up pointing them in the right direction - eventually!  Look forward to more! :-)

Dumb dumbs.  LOL.  I wasn't expecting Hermione to actually SEE Severus at the Val lady's place.  Poor, embarrassed Severus.  He just needs a huggy-wuggy.  I liked Val's confidence in her abilities, and the fact that she was a soul-mate finder.  I think if someone could do that in real life, they'd be a billionaire!
