I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

Reviews for The Unforgiven
it's interesting to me that what the lack of memories would do to a person was never addressed. especially in severus' case where so much was taken. wonderful update. thanks so much
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Yes, I wondered about that as well. But it is more than only the loss of memories, as will be shown in later chapters. Thanks :)
I LOVE YOUR STORY, IS IT FINISHED OR ARE YOU STLL WORKING ON IT?
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
It is finished. I have ueet for my beta to go over it and fix my grammer errors, and I may tweak the Epilogue, however. it is done and I am very happy with the resolution.Thank you for reviewing :)
Good Lord, he is schizt!
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
ROTFLMAO!!!!! Is that Yiddish? Meshuge came to my mindThanks :)
Thank goodness Hermione went to Severus' house! The poor professor needed someone to take him in hand and get him started on the road to healing. He must have been an awful sight before she took him to her home and made him bathe and cleaned his hands and feet. Clearly he is dilutional because of his missing memories. I can only hope that she will be able to get Harry to come there and restore them to him. Without them our Severus is doomed to live in a world that no long exists.Thank you for such a wonderful update. I can see how much hard work is ahead of Hermione, Severus, Eugene, and even Harry and Ginny, but by helping Severus, they can all be healed. Fabulous writing!Beth
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Yes, it's going to be a hard road for all of them. Thanks for your review! :)
Is his mental health issues a result of living without his memories?Very thought provoking chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Mostly, but I think he has been grieving for so long and working as a spy has not allowed him to deal with his real emotions. Now that Voldemort is dead, he doesn't have that to hide behind and it has caused him to have a nervous breakdown and very possibly prompted a schizophrenic condition that would not be resolved by memory retrieval alone. So, we'll see. Thanks :)
Oh my. A mad Severus---or perhaps it's closer to the equivalent of a nervous breakdown? But very unsettling to see the always-assured Potions Master acting in this way. I do hope Hermione gets those memories back from Harry with a minimum of trouble--and quickly!
Response from countrymouse (Reviewer)
P.S.--hadn't read earleir review, nor your responses, before I penned this, so didn't see your reference to a nervous breakdown. Sorry to be repetitive! (smile)
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Don't worry. Of course it will take the maximum amount of trouble to get the memories, and not all will be resolved with Snape getting them back... more drama! Thanks :)
Poor severus, he's been through so much in his life. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Yes, he has lived through so much pain, he's basically had a nervous breakdown and has to hold on to these delusions from going completely insane. Getting the memories back will also help him since he doesn't trust anyone. Thanks :)
How odd, but then Snape was always more than a little odd. I hope getting his memories back will help. Does Snape consider himself one of Hermione's strays?
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
No, however he will come to that conclusion shortly. It's going to be hard, but Hermione dearly loves Eugene, and she won't allow him to be unmonitered with Snape, nor will she allow Snape to be a bad influence when the boy clearly looks up to him. Thanks:)
Oh dear - he really is deluded. I can't wait to see what happens!Great job!A~~
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Hermione definately has a lot to contend with now. It's going to be a hard road. Thanks :)
Now he is physically clean, hopefully she can sort his mind out. :)
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Yes, and unfortunately, getting him physically clean will prove to be far easier than to root out the demons in his head. Thanks :)
Ooh, fascinating. And I've taken a guess at your identity, Mystery Author, which I practically never do. I am greatly looking forward to your next chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Aha! Well, I'll have to mix it up a bit so you won't guess too far in advance! lol! Thanks :)
Great chapter, I'm wondering how Hermione is consolidating a religious life with her magical abilities. Didn't the Church of England prosecute witches?
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Well didn't they have an Angelican wedding for Bill and Fluer? The prosecution of the witches was a long time ago. Hermione just trying to find some peace. Thanks :)
The Unforgiven is one of the most original stories I've seen, and you're telling it beautifully. I have fallen in love with the characters, and delight in imagining the various outcomes you might write.Hermine and Eugene are perfect for each other, filling a void in each of their lives and making each other happy.Mr. Black is the, so far, elusive "known yet unknown" element in the equation, but I have a feeling he is our missing Potions Master. Wouldn't it be great if he and Hermione met, and then Harry was brought into the mix? Will Mr. Black remember Hermione or Harry? Maybe Harry has something that belongs to Mr. Black that would bring his life back into the proper focus... and he would remember that Lily has died... and that, just perhaps, Eugene is his son? Or maybe he knows that Eugene is his son? He clearly knows all about Hogwarts, and knows that he doesn't want Eugene to mention him to anyone he meets when he goes to that "posh school." Mr. Black is so sad now. He needs cheering up, but I have an idea that might take some doing!Eugene has some lovely plans for Hermione and Mr. Black, and they all include Eugene being welcomed into a loving home. The boy has already found two adults, witch and wizard, who have taken a great interest in his well being, now all he has to do is get them together. Nothing could be simpler, right?I'm just grasping at straws here, but when I read a story that interests me as much as this one does, I can't help myself. You've got a winner here!Beth
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thanks! I'm happy this has caught your eye! Eugene is a very sweet boy who, as most children do, think their are simple answers to complex problems. He'll see that's not true. But he will give a lot of hilarity to the tension that follows. Thanks!
So religion helps Hermione coping with the wounds the war left on her soul?Of course I'm curious about Eugene's heritage. The parallels to Harry's childhood are astounding.Life could be so easy, according to Eugine. "Mr. Black" would see Hermione and the food she provides, falls for her, they marry and he has a propper home. I just don't think it is going to be that easy.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Hermione is just trying to find what can help at this point. At this point she finds solace in the calmness of the worship services and the prayers said. I don't see Hermione as "religious", more of just a person who wants to have a personal relationship with God. She doesn't want to get into all that "dogma".And of course, like all children, Eugene has a perfect solution for any problem, and no it will not be that easy as Eugene will have to learn. Thanks!
I must say i was a little bit reluctant to read this after the first chappie but i'm really glad i continued thank you it is a very well written bit of work. love eugene..can't wait to meet the reclusive mr black..
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thanks for giving it a shot! Very soon Mr. Black will make his appearance. Thanks:)
So, what's keeping her from going to see him? You'd think she'd want to help! So, does the Church of England use prayer beads too? I thought they were unique to the Catholic faith.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
No, the Church of England doesn't. That was why Hermione bought some. The service is similar, but no rosary beads. Thanks:)
I have to laugh at Eugene innocently calling Severus 'Mr. Black' ... it's fitting, but I can just picture the expression on his face when the poor kid called him that. Ouch! What a rough life Eugene has though ... the way his aunt and uncle treat him is almost a carbon copy of how the Dursleys treated Harry, like a freak undeserving of normal human kindness. I'm guessing Eugene's cousin beat him, much like Dudley tried to beat on Harry. It's such a horrible thing to see such a sweet thoughtful kid treated so shabbily. But I can't wait for 'Mr. Black' and Hermione to finally come face-to-face, but, from the sound of things, the memories Severus gave to Harry could well be the reason he seems to not remember that Lily's been long dead. He seems to still think Lily is in hiding from Voldemort, but she was already married to James, wasn't she? Is it possible that Nagini's venom had some neurological side effects as well?Great update as always, can't wait for more!
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thanks. YOu have some great insights. In time things will be revealed. Thanks!
whoa...this just keeps on getting better and better. i just love eugene. great update. thanks so much
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thanks! I'm glad you are enjoying this. Eugene is a really sweet boy. He will be a very important person to Hermione. Thanks!
What a nice little plan Eugene has developed. He will have to work on it. :)
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Yes, and he is not one to give up lightly! Thanks!
Hey There! I just started reading this today, and OMG! I love it!! I'm so curious about who Eugenes parents actually are and the little humour moments when you find out that he calls the "old man" Mr Black!! Hahaha. I was very touched with the way you described Hermiones relationship with Ron because I dated someone one like that back in High School. It was comforting to hear (even if fictionally) someone dealt with the same issues. (The Pain and bleeding and just animalistic nature constantly) I can't wait to see what happens next and hope Hermione gets to adopt Eugene for reals! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Oh, yes. I had a lover who was like that. We only lasted three months. I'm glad you caught the "Mr. Black" gag. No one has really mentioned it. I'm glad you are enjoying this so much. Thanks :)
awww... he is such a sweet boy. I really want him to go live with hermione and i can't wait for Severus to come into the story fully and in person! can't wait to read more!
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
It will be soon, and Eugene truly is a sweet boy and will give a lot of tension with his opinions on what Hermione and Mr. Black need to do to be happy ;)Thanks!
I'm glad Hermione is finding her own peace of mind. Hopefully, Eugene and "Mr. Black" will find peace too. I wish Hermione would go and visit Mr. Black also. He sounds so sad.
Loved the chapter, and I'm looking forward to your next post.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Mr. Black and Hermione will be meeting soon :) I promise! Thanks!
I love this story. Love where it looks to be going. Great Job!!
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thanks! I hope you will still stick with it after the next chapter.
Response from Ourbrokenheart (Reviewer)
Looking forward to it!
I really like your story so far. Can't wait for Mr. Black to meet Hermione. You're doing a great job writing the relationship that's developing between Hermione and Eugene.Looking forward to reading more.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you! Eugene is very much a loving boy. I see him as a cross between Severus and Harry-just with Sirius' eyes and laugh. Thanks!
I really like this religious Hermione. It is a different take on her character. I like different. Especially when religion is often an issue skirted around even though it is a part of so many lives. I think its funny how so many writers can write extremely descriptive sex scenes (not that I have a problem with that) but they seem uncomfortable with anything faith based. I like keeping an open mind to all the possibilities. Fun story by the way!
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you. I really wanted to expose that angle since forgiveness is such a major part of the Christian faith. I'm glad you are liking it!
