I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

Reviews for The Unforgiven
This is not only a very well written story, it is a meaningful one as well. Good lessons to be found here for all who pay attention. I hope you will keep writing! I am looking forward to more from you.
I am really enjoying this story. The amount of absolute detachment that Sev is going through is very well written. I wanted to share something with you: I read this chapter on the same day that I heard the new Sugarland song (Keep You). When I heard these words, I couldn't help but think of this chapter:We said goodbye. Tried her hand at magic. But we couldn't make us disappear. Not a day goes by I don't wish I had you.So run away, I'm glad you're still here. It's a bitter sweet victory.Lovin' the ghost in front of me.Now I can't laugh, can't cry.And I can't run, can't hide. What do I gotta do?What do I gotta do to keep you? What do I gotta do to keep you from doing this to me?This is the first frame and the chorus of the song. It is also about being in so much emotional turmoil that you are detached from yourself and everyone else around you.~*

This chapter was perfect, and everything I was hoping for. I loved how Severus finally went to talk to Harry and how Hermione finally got him to realize that he needed to go over there! Big plus on Severus getting his wand back too! Thanks again for this fic. Much Love ~ Brena

I'm glad! Thank you for reviewing :)
Love the message of Hope and love in Christ Jesus good job. You see the references so seldom in fandom.Laughed at the image of Hagrid as the head of Gryffindore.Could have done with out the F word so close to the message of forgiveness.
Thanks for a really interesting story, I still have to go back ad figure out where Eugene came from but I've been so busy writing Raven.
Excellent job.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you! It was a bit worrisome for me if the message of forgiveness tied to Christianity would be accepted, but I am glad I took the chance. Thanks :)
That was lovely. I'm glad they found their Hope.

Thank you :)
Glad she dumped Mr Portable Vibrator's arse - I would have given up on the story if she hadnt done so by this chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Oh, yes. Hermione just had to get her head sorted out. But she's done with being treated like that. Thanks :)
I haven't read any of your other reviews of this chapter, so I don't know what others have thought, but I wanted you to know I loved this chapter! Many folks thought JKR had gone uncharacteristically "off-course" in her many religious (and specifically, Christian) allusions in Book 7, and while I vehemently disagree with the direction she chose to take some of her characters (such as making Lily practically a 'saint' and leaving Severus to such an unjust end), I do have to say I saw that coming almost from the first book. The Christian allegory that "is" the HP series is clearly there for those who can recognize it, though not as blatant as, say, in Lewis' "Narnia" books--it is more subtle, such as in the LoTR trilogy. And JKR herself once said, that no one, knowing her staunch Presbyterian background, would have any doubt by the end of Book 7 that the books were written with a Christian viewpoint in mind. Therefore, I truly enjoyed your ending, and thank you for leaving them with hope. A name I love for God, though it's not Biblical, is "God of the Second Chance"--and I love it that in this story you gave that second chance to Severus (from his 'Creator') that his creator (author) did not.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you so much. I was touched by your words. I have always thought that Rowling had many Christian themes, and that Hermione, being raised Muggleborn-it wouldn't be a leap to conclude she might be a Christian or at least find comfort in believing in God. Yes, God is a God of many chances. His love endures forever. Thanks :)
This was a wonderfullly written story. I loved every chapter and this was the perfect way to end it. The baby's name was just the right touch that the ending needed. I loved how Harry was now a semi part of their lives and I kinda wished for a reaction from Snape when Eugene was sorted into Gryffindor but other than that it was (like I said earlier) perfect.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you. I decided the tried and true Snape reaction to his son being a Gryffindor would be more in line. Sure, he's changed a bit... but you can't take the Slytherin out of Snape! Thanks :)
The Bible reference and the idea of hope was touching. I'm glad that in the end he found forgiveness. Very nice story, thank you for writing it and sharing it with us.

Thank you :)
Well the greeting from Ginny, Molly and Arthur was warmer than I thought it would be. I'm still surprised that Hermione didn't have her friends with her at her wedding - kinda selfish, that. I mean, Ginny was at least supportive, and since it was sooo easy for Severus to turn Harry around, they could have been there - after Severus' talk. Ah, well. Loved how Severus handled Ron.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Oh, if Hermione had the Weasleys there, it would have been hijacked by Molly! This was a private family moment for the three of them. Thanks :)
Absolutely beautiful loved it! Well written loved the plot and how you wrapped everything up. The way you included Christianity in your plot was really brillant.

He certainly has been blessed and it's nice that he recongnizes it. Thank you for this story. Can't wait to find out who you are!
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you :) It will be nice to end the "Mystery Author" status.
I saw the Methodist old church in Grasmere at the weekend but not the Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic one. Isn't that a great name for a church? What a wonderful and redemptive ending for a great story. I've thoroughly enjoyed this and not only in that the setting is so familiar to me. Well done. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx. PS It was still chucking it down in Grasmere.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Well, I got that name and info from a map of Grasmere. Perhaps the catholics moved out and the methodists moved in! lol! I'm glad you could enjoy the story visually as you read it. I dearly loved Grasmere when I was there. The entire Lake District is a little heaven on earth. Thanks :)
This is an ending I can love! With the birth of Hope Anastasia Snape, Severus came to fully understand what Hermione had bee trying to tell him when she took him to Godric's Hollow. With the resurrection of hope, all things are possible.Severus and Hermione have the family that each of them has wanted for so long–people to love and who love them in return. A foundation on which to build a future. Eugene is beside himself to have a new sister and is already planning to keep her safe. I pity anyone who hurts Hope. They will have two Snape men to answer to.Severus' reaction to his son being sorted into Gryffindor House is exactly what I would have expected. LOL! I was glad that he could accept Hermione's faith for what it is and learn to embrace something new in his own life. We all need to feel there is a power greater than ourselves whatever form it takes. It brings with it a quiet heart and unflagging hope.I'm very happy that in the end, Severus can feel that he has been forgiven, and realized the wonderful blessings he has been given. Indeed, they all have been forgiven and presented with the twin gifts of hope and a solid foundation upon which to build their lives.I have enjoyed the lovely story from the very first chapter! Thank you for sharing it!Beth
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Thank you very much. I didn't know how the chapter would be received, but I've had good reviews so far. Hope is so crucial to a meaningful life. I think Severus felt his life was over and he was only going through the motions to repay his debt to DD. There was no future for him, only the past that kept on tormenting him. But now, they have all have "a little Hope" :)
Excellent chapter. Just one small thing... if they married at the old Catholic Church in Grasmere that Hermione had been attending, then the priest's wife couldn't have been the matron of honor as Catholic priests don't marry. And they couldn't have gotten married there unless Hermione and Severus were both Catholic or at least Hermione was. If it asn't the Catholic Church they married in, it would be less confusing to specify.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
Oh crap! You are right. I'll have to ammend that. I do know that sometimes they make exceptions if the couple are interested in being Catholic and attend. This is a recent development due to the drop in people remaining Catholic or even wanting to be. Thanks for pointing that out! :)
Response from Aoibheann (Reviewer)
No problem. You can get married if one person is Catholic and the other makes certain "promises," but Hermione would have had to undergo RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and all that. I absolutely LOVED this fic, by the way!
Such a great ending. It seems like Snape truly has forgiven himself, and accepted that he is worthy of the love he is receiving. Hagrid as Head of House?? Too funny.
Response from livvy6 (Author of The Unforgiven)
I couldn't resist! Some levity was needed.Thanks :)
