I was looking for something new to read this morning, and I'm glad I found this story. There is so much I want to say since I read it all in one shot, but I'm having problems organizing my thoughts and actually getting them out in writing. One thing I can say now is I am absolutely in love with little Eugene. Totally arse over elbow for that boy. I'm excited to see the next chapter ^^

Eugene is a sweetie, there is so much Harry and Severus both in him. If only they both could have had a woman like Hermione to mother them. Ah, well. I'm glad you found yourself a good read. I really liked a lot about this chapter. The first thing I truly loved was the description of Severus' hand on hers and all of her impressions about his hands prior to that moment.
Then I liked Severus' hesitancy as he explained things to Hermione. His inability to forgive himself was expected, but you gave it a bit of a twist with his admission of wanting James and Harry dead. I think many authors are afraid to broach that subject. (I know I've never gone there!) It makes him look too mean and evil. But I do believe that is part of his past. A part that he probably regrets deeply.Hermione's admission that she in part,'killed' her parents was quite insightful on her part. She took away their agency, and their memories. Her use of that as a parallel to what Severus had done really opened up the door to understanding, I think.Then, of course, the end was lovely, with their getting even closer, admitting their love, and Severus being quite shy because of his lack of experience. Very nice.

Thank you. I really wanted there to be a depth that I hadn't really seen before with Severus' past. It was so important that he wasn't shunned by Hermione for admitting and facing the truth. I believe that is the only way a person can truly rid themselves of their pain, by admitting it and naming what it is.Thanks :)
I just finished reading your fic in one go and I can't wait for the next chapter! I love the relationship that's growing between all three of the characters, especially with Hermione and Severus! I'm so geeked to read the next chapter!!!!

I thought that was it from his reaction to Eugene's question in the previous chapter! You handled the question of why he's virgin nicely, plausibly, without leaving us to think 'oh, of course."I think Hermione is dealing with her demons as well in this chapter. I still have hope that Harry and Severus will be able to sit down and have closure to old wounds. I'd like to see that.

This is such a wonderful chapter! It's chock full of discovery and confession, self-revelation and hope. Very well written and a joy to read!I loved it that Severus found the courage to bear his soul to Hermione. They both have been through so much, and it can only be a good thing that they are able to talk so candidly to each other about all the regrets and sorrows they feel because of decisions each has made.I wanted to cry when Severus spoke of his dreams of finding a woman who would desire him as much as he desired her... a woman who would not treat his heart cavalierly and cast him aside when she had got what she wanted from him.I'm looking forward to the next chapter when, hopefully, we will see them learning to express their love for each other more completely. OMG! I just thought of something. What would happen if Eugene wakes up in the middle of the night and finds that Hermione and Severus are asleep in the same bed... or what if he hears them... young though he is, he will recognize a sexual situation when he sees/hears one. A few Silencing Charms, a well cast Muffliato, and a Warding Spell or two might come in handy. Or not. A curious child can be a formidable force, and Eugene is very bright and very curious.Oh I am so looking forward to the next chapter!Beth

There is so much guilt so much responsibility that he carries. While Harry feels he "owes" to save the Wizarding world forever, Severus feels he "owes" it to those who died to atone forever. That's something no one person can acheive or live with for life.Thanks :)
My air conditioning must be off, because it's a little warm here. Wait a second, that's the story. And they haven't done anything yet, I'll have to turn the settings way down for the next chapter.

definitely, but really, who better to babysit a child than jareth in the Labyrinth?and hey, his girl sarah would just adore helping watch the kid too, give mione and sev some free time and all....~shuffles Eugene on out of the house and to the park~

This was such a great chapter! I'm so happy to see that Hermione is making progress with Severus. I just wished Ginny was a bit more cooperative. I know shes all bitter and upset and stuff but seriously. Anyways, Thanks for the update! I can't wait to see what happens next. Much Love ~ Brena
