Reviews for At the Beach
This is and will be one of my favourite story, one that I'll read again and again over time. I like how this last part is told from Luca's POV. And, most of all, I like that they didn't lie to her. They told her things when she was able to understand them. It is not common for parents to do so, so that's why I apreciate it immensely.Thank you so much for this fantastic fiction that you graciously shared with the rest of us, humble and avid readers.

I enjoyed writing this a lot - actually, I enjoy writing in general - and I cannot believe that there are so many people out there who read what I come up with. So my humble thanks to you and all the others who read and reviewed.Thank you!

Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
To me, it's fun. I am not so sure my poor betas agree, though ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing
It's hard to type through the tears. Great work!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I hope those tears are happy tears! Thanks for reading and reviewing
What a great story! I loved it! Thank you for sharing!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I loved writing it. Thanks for reading and reviewing
Leaving, not leaveneing, I think is what you meant. I LOVED THIS STORY!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*is ashamed* kittylefish already told me about the mistake, but I didn' manage to correct it until now. Thanks for the reminder - and thanks for reviewing!
What a wonderful ending! Although, I must admit, I was biting my nails until I was sure who had arrived - I was almost expecting some kind of horrid twist to the story... But I'm glad that it never came.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Tsk, tsk - am I nasty? Do I ruin happy endings in the last second?Hang on - maybe... sometimes...*grin*Thanks for reading and reviewing, dear!
A wonderful and satisfying end to a quite unusual SSHG story. I love that you told this last chapter from Luca's point of view, and that you gave them all a happy ending. Even Ron, I think, though he may not quite deserve it.In Tessa and Carlos you have created two people who have the familiarity of a long-ago past but the layering-in of lives that have altered them forever, damaged them both but also given them both the power to heal again.Very nicely done, my dear!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I must admit, until the very end I wasn't sure it would work out. They are OOC, in many ways, and my beta warned me this might cause strong and negative reactions, so I am very glad they never came. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
I liked the ending from Luca's POV! :)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Had to do it *g*Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Great ending. I loved seeing everything through Luca's eyes. It was nice to see that the kids were accepting of everything. I'm sure they knew that things weren't happy at home.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
They saw their mother being happy again, especially when she was with Carlos. They knew, I am certain of it.Thanks for reading and reviewing
Actually that was not as fluffy as you promised... but I still liked it! Short, sweet and to the point. It's been an awesome time, following this story. Thank you!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Alright, I confess having a thing for the bittersweet touch in a story. Complete fluffyness... I think I haven't managed it yet. But it was a happy ending! Thanks a lot for reading and reviewing!
That was a very pleasant ending. Glad that it all workedout in the end, for evrybody.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Of course it did. First, I like happy endings, and second, this was a present. I wouldn't write a nasty story for someone else ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing
Yay!! Loved it! One of my all time favorite fics!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*beams*Thank you so much, dear!

*hugs you*Thanks so much for reading my fics and reviewing and letting me know that you like what I come up with. I am sure you know how much that means to me!
Luca is so cute with her impatience. Carlos is such a loving and patient father. The reuniting of the families was just as one would expect. I love a happy ending.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
So do I, dear. And I just had to add Luca - I had no idea how to tell this from either Carlos's or Tessa's POV ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
What a lovely story. I had wondered how Hermione could leave her baby. But, of course Snape was a much better father than Ron or many others could have been. You had a great ending. I thought you did a good job with the story the entire way through.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
She had no choice, so she did what was necessary to keep the ones she loves safe - all of them. Thank you so much for reviewing!
Thank you very much for writing such a remarkable story!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
It was my pleasure, really - I love writing and get grumpy if I can't do it for more than a few days ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Did 'Carlos' do something to his nose? 'Tessa' has changed the color of her hair and cut and straigtened it and keeps her eyes hidden. How easy it seems for them to hide who the really are. Or maybe 'Tessa' is really Lavemder Brown.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I think I have never written anything about Lavender, so no, it's not her. And I think after ten years and a life lived differently from the life before, everyone changes. I wouldn't recognise half my teachers from school, and that although they just had aged. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
I loved that you told the last chapter through Luca's eyes. I do love happy endings. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story.

Thanks for reading and reviewing it, dear!
Telling the story's end through Luca's eyes was completely charming, if a little unexpected -- and since this is a story that tends to leave one expecting the unexpected, that's really fitting. Thank you for such a loving and unusual take on SS/HG.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Always expect the unexpected - now that was said by Caine in the old Kung Fu series, which I loved a lot when I was younger. I must have learned more from it than I had tought! Thanks for reading and reviewing - and thanks for liking Luca!
The brilliance is truly its realness and downtoearthness. It's life with all its trials and decisions and faults and hindrances. I very much like it. Especially the fact that there are obstacles that no matter what can not be overcome.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I can't say anything else but thank you - I am so happy you liked the story although the characters are OOC and have - both of them - matured in a way.
Luca is adorable. I'd love to have more about the divorce, and what about Rose? Will she stay with Molly or with them on the island? I've enjoyed this story. Thank you.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Currently, I don't have time to write sequels, and if I do, I have a bunch to write before thinking of one for this story, but eventually, I want to write sth about the time when Carlos has - for whatever reason - come to England and reveal his true identity. I might drop a word about the divorce then ;-)Rose and Hugo are at Hogwarts, most of the time, and in the holidays they are either with Tessa or with Ron or - occasionally - with Molly. A good solution for all of them I'd say. Thanks so much for reviewing!
What an unusual and lovely fic this has been. Thank you and thank your betas for the creative work that brought it to us!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I can't imagine how often my betas swore because of my ridiculous mistakes, and especially Dreamy has given me loads of helpful comments.
