Reviews for At the Beach
This is one of the best stories I've read so far (and those are quite a lot) and I am so in love with it. The end came way too fast, but I still have lots of your other stories to look forward so I won't complain :) (btw I'm from Germany so I hope you don't mind if I made mistakes... I read that you're living in Germany as well but as this is an English website and I'm quite new to this site, I didn't dare to review in German ^^)

This story is beautiful. I cried at several points and I'm crying now after finishing it. Your story contains so many things that I avoid when looking for stories (epilogue compliant, married to Ron, leading a double life, etc.) but everything is just so perfect. I'm so glad that I took a chance on a story that didn't really fit my usual reading list because I am so touched by this tale. Thank you so much for writing this!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I must admit, I wrote this story because I wanted to sth different. Usually, I avoid the epilogue, and never put Ron and Hermione together. But well, a challenge was what I needed, and I am glad you liked the outcome.
A very wonderful story. I enjoyed it very much. Both the beginning where Severus was sure he knew Hermione and the ending where she came home to him to stay.

Thank you so very much for reading and reviewing this story - I know it was OOC in a way, so I am glad it got read nevertheless.
ABSOLUTELY SMASHING!!!!! This is such a beautiful love story. I've enjoyed reading it so very much. Thank you bunches for gifting us all with it.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Frankly, it was my pleasure writing it and my betas' horrid duty to correct my mistakes ;-) Thanks so much for reading, liking, and reviewing!
Perfect ending to a perfect story!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you, dear!

Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Let's say, I gave up television for being able to write ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing - and I am affraid this won't be the last story I have in store.
Response from kimjo2 (Reviewer)
all I can say to that is YAY!!!
This was a great story!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Oh how wonderful, heatbreaking and wonderful again. I love that they have found love and can finally enjoy it to its fullest.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
It was about time - the most it has taken me so far to bring them together for good was three years, but here, as I wanted it canon compliant, it was necessary to let them suffer a bit longer ;-)Thanks so much for reading and reviewing
I really enjoyed this story. It is one of the most original ideas for getting Serverus and Hermione together that I have ever read. And it was written so beautifully. Thank you.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you for reading it! Of course it was based on a challenge prompt, so the idea is not entirely mine. I did enjoy writing it a lot, and I am grateful that I didn's scare readers off with their appearances.
*sigh* I'm rather sad to see this story end. I must say I'm a bit surprised that things didn't manage to go completely pear-shaped for Hermione, especially after her pregnancy. And I suppose I'll always wonder what Ron's reaction was to the divorce petition. :)Well done. It's lovely to see the entire family together at last.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I would say his mouth sagged open and he demanded to know why she had done it, not understanding at all that no woman willingly lives with a man who cheats on her ;-)Pear-shaped - could you explain what you mean with this? She's got her man, she's got her children all around her, she can be happy now.Anyway - Thanks for reading and reviewing
Awwwww I am glad we got to the happily ever after!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Nearly always in my stories, dear. And if I didn't manage it in the first place, I will write a sequel ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing
10 points to me because I totally caught the reference to Home Fries!ZOMG I dont know how Hermione can leave her daughter. I hope she gets a time turner. OHNO next chapter is the last.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Congrats for catching the reference - I loved that story, although I am a Snupin shipper. Hermione doesn't have a choice, but I promise, all will turn out well.
Hermione is going to end up having more than one Snape child if her spell doesnt work. Please tell me you didnt name the babe Sunflower?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*snigger* Didn't even think of it - wouldn't it have been a nice connection??I have no idea if those two will have more children, but if yes, then willingly - now that she knows why her spell doesn't work, she can prevent another pregnancy.
I was going to ask you how the kids held the secret. OMG I cannot beleive they didnt use birth control. This is going to be tricky
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
You know, it is quite fascinating to read reviews backwards - I started with your last and now work my way through ;-) No use telling you what you know already, so just thanks for reviewing!
Awwwwwww I liked this chapter so much!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you, dear!
Oh I like that Carlo's wine is known the world over. I am glad will be her ally. Clearly she needs one in the Weasley family.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I always liked George and consider it a pity that his brother was killed off in the books. Well. I might write a story about that one day ;-)
Well thank heavens you didnt end the story here. Why is she so sure Ron would get custody? he is cheating on her too. )))wonders off happily in search of the pain and suffering chapter
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I think in this story there isn't that much pain and suffering; you'd need to read other fics of mine to get that ;-)Couldn't end it here, of course - I like happy endings!
When Tessa said the wine was magical I thought she was saying it really was magical!!! I wonder how long it will take her to discover carlos's identity? I expect the bracelet anchors the glamour or something like that?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I didn't really give the wine that much thought, so I can't tell you in which way it is magical, just that no one else but Carlos can make it. How wonderful that you caught the tiny hints concerning bracelet and sunflower!
This was an excellent story. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for writing it.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Picture me jumping up and down with giddy impatience for the nakkid parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I truly hope you enjoyed them - there aren't many more in this story!
For a second there I thought maybe Tessa had married Harry. But no the interfereing mother in law sounds like Molly.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Definitely. Come to think of it - your penname indicates you like Molly? I do, too, usually, but here, she needed to be a bitch ;-)
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
Molly was my nickname in college. I had very short very red hair at the time. Think Molly Ringwald. I did like Molly Weasley when I read the books. However the longer I live in fandom the less I appreciate her. I am happy with any and all Molly bashing as long as its not moi.
I am glad Carlos was honest and told Tessa exactly what he wanted. I feel that she really couldnt do with anymore lies. Has Hermione changed herself to be more attractive to Ron? Is she a battered wife?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
He got her only because of her honesty - Ron cheats on her, so no, she couldn't go with anymore lies. Battered as in beaten? No, she isn't, just generally unhappy.
I am just full of questions. Are they both wear glamours? Why hasnt Ron attempted to find his family? Why did SS leave England? I'll just shut up and go to the next chapter like a good fan girl.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
As I know you have, I won't answer your questions ;-)
Now that this is finished I am here to dive in! I like your island Snape very much. He maybe a winegrower but he is still a predator. Grrrrrrr
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hehehe, quite cheeky to read it all in one go - takes half the fun away if you simply can click on the next chapter. Anyway, thank you a lot fore reading and reviewing each single chapter - hugs, dear!
I loved this story. Though Hermione/Tessa's pregnancy cogitations bothered me- adoption is not a horrible option! Kids who are adopted grow up to be well-adjusted adults, and it's hardly horrid like H/T thought.I doubt Snape really had a tannable complexion, or the inclination to run off and grow grapes, but I really enjoyed reading nonetheless. Thanks for a good tale!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I have absolutely nothing against adoption and go with you in every point, but obviously, it is a horrible thought for Tessa because she doesn't want to give the baby away! She already loves the child, she wants to raise it, and under these conditions, everything that means the baby is raised elsewhere is simply the worst option ever. I needed Snape to change tremendously, and had he been pale and long-haired, she would have recognised him immediatly. Besides, I like him tanned, and as he is black-haired and eyed, he would certainly get brown over the years ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing
