Reviews for The Way Home
I'm really liking Cassandra. She seems like an easy going person and very strong after the loss in her life. I can't wait to see how this goes!Livvy

Well written nicely paced. Characters are so believable..I totally see Snape as an anaesthesiologist. Please be encouraged and keep writing love your style. Can't wait to see who Cassandra turns out to be or not

I'm shocked at the low number of reviews. The first chapter was intriguing, this chapter now has me hooked, and I wanna read more.

Now he has said it. Hopefully, things will progress. :)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Hopefully, yes :-)/M
Oh, that was nice, and the ending was a lovely touch--no barriers and no lies.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
They now have a chance to start something nice together. Let's hope they don't mess it up. Glad you like the story!!/M
Oh dear! That is so sad. But... you still could want to bang their heads together! What does their past actually matter in this place and at this time? They have a future--both of them have removed themselves from the Wizarding world. Oh, I could just slap them!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Please do slap them. I think it would help ;-)/M
Hmmm... the plot thickens.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Yeah, it does.I am having so much fun re-reading the story while you're reading it!Cheers. /M
ooh! Cliffhanger! I'm so glad that I don't have to wait for an update.... *rushes off*

Lucky you ;-)
Wow! That was quite intense. Well written and enthralling.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Glad you liked it. I enjoyed writing it!/M
Wonderful story. Beautifully written. But I'm not sure why you felt the need for Cassandra to die. I guess I'm just a sap who likes happy endings. So glad Severus still had his daughter to hold on to.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
1. I hate happy endings.2. I like Severus just a tad sad (sadist, I know)3. The story is called The Way home, and they did come home. There will be a story about Severus and his daughter soon! Looking forward to writing it. Hope you'll read it.Cheers. /M
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. However, I will always find the ending twist to be a waste of great potential. I guess you weren't interested in writing more stories in this universe. IMHO that's a shame - especially after the scarily thrilling opening you wrote a few chapters ago. And the twist seemed truly unnecessary considering the title goal of the tale. Oh well. Like I said I enjoyed the reading but the choice of ending left me a bit baffled.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
I intended Cassandra to die from the very start. Her role in this story was to show Severus the way home, and that is what she did. He is at home now, at Hogwarts, the only place he ever truly belonged to.However hard I try, I just cannot write Severus as a happy family man. I have tried, I failed. My Severus will always be sad, I'm afraid. He has his daughter now, who he loves more than anything in the world. And looking at her will always remind him of Cassandra, the woman who gave him the greatest gift of all: the woman who showed him the way home./M
Response from ladyljd (Reviewer)
Yeah, Severus seems to inspire cruel treatment in many authors - especially the one who created him. At least you see him as alive. That's something I suppose.
Made me well up the second time round. Beautiful.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Are you up already?? ;-)Here, have a hanky!Love,M
I was very disappointed with the chapter. I suppose I'm one of those people who have decided Severus had suffered enough, he didn't deserve something like this as well. Oh, well, such is life.Livvy
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
I am very sorry to have disappointed you. And Severus.I am a terrible person, I know, but I just cannot write a happily-ever-after for Severus Snape. I like him sad. Gee, I am awful!Once again, I am sorry for having disappointed you, Livvy. Do keep your eyes open for the Yule Edition of this story. It might just contain a silver lining.Until we meet again. /M
I was really disappointed with this ending. They both had been through so much and now their family is torn apart all over again. Severus must be so hurt and so sad. Every person he loved died.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
I am horribly mean to Severus, I know that. And to you readers, too. But I just cannot write a fluffy happily-ever-after for Severus. I like him sad. (I'm going straight to hell for that, aren't I?)Keep your eyes open for the Yule Edition of this story. You might just find the silver lining there./M
Lovely. Sad, but lovely. And after all the pain she'd had in her life, I think it's wonderful that she died in the arms of the man who loved her, with a beautiful child to show for it all. It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all...thanks for the hankie warning, it was much needed!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Need another one? *hands over a hanky*I am very glad you enjoyed my little story. Thank you for sticking with it until the bitter(sweet) end. It meant a lot to me./M
Lovely, lovely story, even though I didn't expect that ending. LOL.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
I think no one expected that ending. I'm an evil genius ;-)Glad you enjoyed. And thank you for all our help and support. What would I do without your eagle-eyes?/M
AhkK! Not the way I was expecting this to end, but I'm very happy they did have some time (too brief!) and a beautiful child. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Thank you for sticking with me and the story until the bitter(sweet) end. It meant a lot to know that you were there.Until we meet again. /M
The story's ending was not what I expected, but it did bring them home, and Severus has his daughter and his life and the home he never thought to see again. You have written a totally believable story of the power of love and redemption, and I can't tell you how much I liked reading it. I love stories when Severus comes face-to-face with his past and must come to terms with it. The struggle is always hard, the sacrifices always difficult, and the rewards always worth it.Thank you for this beautiful story.Beth
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Dear BethI am very glad that you liked my little story.I like stories where Severus has to face his past as well. And yes, I would have liked to make this into a happily-ever-after-story. But I just couldn't do it. I'm a horrible person.Thank you very much for sticking with me and the story.Until we meet again. /M
You had to kill her off????????? Well, I liked the story anyway.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
I'm terrible, aren't I? Fact is, I like Severus to be a little sad, a fluffy happily-ever-after doesn't seem right for him.Thank you for sticking with the story. I hope you enjoyed it, despite the ending.Cheers./M
Sniff! that was so bittersweet! Lovely story. Thank you
