Born: in the glorious year of 1979, when Dio joined Black Sabbath and Peter Pettigrew started passing on information to the Dark Lord
Colours: black, green, silver
Passions: writing, cooking, baking, witchcraft
Obsessions: quite a few, chocolate for one (hi Lupin!), but mainly a certain Potions master and a blond DE.
When I am not writing alone, I co-write with my favourite Ravenclaw star_girl. Look for sevs_starsisters to find our stories.
Published writer since 2014. Original fiction is good fun, but I find myself returning to fan fiction every now and then

Oh, I can't wait to see him play dress-up! He will surprise her indeed!By the way, your title is perfect. Cassandra herself is The Way Home.

I am loving your sense of place. I've never been anywhere at all even like Iceland, and this really makes me want to go (so I'm glad you're taking me along!).Methinks also that the cat knows more than a cat would....I love the pace of this, the gradual getting-to-know-you development. And if she is not a "real" witch (and I'm not convinced yet!), still the effect of her words on him was very well delineated.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Iceland is indeed a wonderful place. I fell in love with the landscape there many years ago. I you ever have the possibility, you should visit.Hm, Nicodemus is a smart little kitty, very smart. Now, let's go see whether Cassandra is a witch ...

Oh, I love this woman--and I believe Severus does, too! What subject does she teach those dunderheads and nincompoops? They are exactly right for each other!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Would be fun if she taught chemistry, eh? But actually she teaches English.Glad you like the pairing.Cheers. /M

Well, her name is Cassandra, after all, so perhaps she has powers that don't really require explicit answers....And yay, Minerva! She really did make up for her treatment of him during the worst of it.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
I've always liked Minerva and was very disappointed about how she treated Snape during their last encounter. Needed to give her a second chance, too.Tanks for reading and leaving a note. /M

Oh, dear heaven.... (Toujours pur--what was the story where someone had Hermione thinking that would be a very good name for a brand of orange juice?)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Orange juice? Oh Merlin! ;-)

Oh, yay. Those words are so important, as is Severus' realization that he will stay or go based on her decision. So wonderful!

He does have his bright moments ;-)Glad you liked.Cheers. /M

What a great start! I love both his curiosity and his reserve--and why do I think they might just share more than a country of origin? Onward!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Yeah, why would you think that, huh? ;-)Glad you liked the start. Hope you'll like the rest.Cheers. /M

Until Severus got back to Cassandra's from Hogwarts, I worried that she might get frightened again. I'm glad that she is not averse to the use of magic, and I'm sure Severus will help her regain control of hers.Nicodemus is a very astute familiar and takes his responsibility to Cassy very seriously. I imagine that he has carefully watched over her for the last ten years.I like the way you are bringing their story along, revealing bits of their past as they have learned to come to terms with each other's past as well as their own. Both deserve to be happy.Great chapter!Beth

I'm so happy they've said it, at last! Of course, I'm sure you'll come up witth a new twist in the plot to shoot it all to hell again, but that's your particular genius *wink*! Very good chapter.

Oh, Severus' words about learning to live with it are so true. Per's last sentence is also so telling. Good for her for suggesting they Apparate. *applauds*
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
It would be weird if all the pain just went away. And in Severus' case, his pain has made him into the man he is today. And the same goes for Cassandra.Per is a very understanding friend. He's grown on me. Initially, he was just a sidekick at the Goth Party. I'm glad he decided to stick around. Now let's see what Magic can do ...Glad you're still reading. Cheers. /M

I really like Per. What a guy, suffering the agony of a close friendship with his unrequieted love!! If you do an epilogue, could he please find someone? (Of course, it's your world, and you should follow your plan...) Severus is so compassionate. I love the way that he is giveing her time, and also that he's considered what she's going to feel, and what he's asked of her. Excellent!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of The Way Home)
Um, do you do Legilimency? Because I am currently writing the epilogue and have just been thinking about Per and what he is doing now. Spooky.I'm very glad that you like my little story. It means a lot to me./M

Wonderful chapter! Your attention to detail is perfect. You make it all seem so real. Makes me wonder about some of my friends -- if they are wizards in disguise. :)

Thanks for updating regularly it really enhances my enjoyment of this great story. I love how you have them being able to heal each other and face up to their own individual pasts.Just wondering on the name Cassie. For a while there I thought her name was Cassiopeia considering the Black's penchant for using the names of stars/constellations as first names, but it is Cassandra. How did you settle on the name Cassie/Cassandra?Cheers and lookinf forward to reading more.

Oh I hate it when Severus tries to be unselfish and acts the git because of it...

Cassandra and Severus have crossed a chasm this night. I believe she is willing to leave Iceland and return to Wizarding Britian with Severus. However, I sense that Severus is unsure that this would be the best thing for her... but what are they to do? Severus feels he must return, but doesn't want to ask anything of Cassandre that will cause her harm.Maybe, [Severus] thought, just maybe, there was a chance that magic would not divide them after all. This was a great chapter! Thank you. Beth

Woohoo! Severus is thinking about coming back to Hogwarts, and I'll bet Cassandra would come with him. This was a wonderful chapter full of thoughts of the future... and the hopes of this reader that the Potions Master and Sirius Black's little sister will soon be making their home there. It is time. Thanks, Beth
