Hermione Granger had a job that gave her everything she wanted. However, money can't buy the one thing she desires most, the love of the reclusive Severus Snape.

I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Oh gads, Severus used the Unforgivable? Hope Hermione is all right.

He did. He really didn't have much of a choice. St. Mungo's will hopefully patch Hermoine up to be as good as new.

I just had to write a comment...because the funny thing is that a couple of days ago, I myself was listening to Mozart's Requiem on my CD player and singing along with the parts that I knew well (and privately wondered if perhaps I wasn't a bit bonkers for doing so -- let's face it, it's not exactly the Top 40 and hardly the sort of thing to which most people could imagine singing along)! I should confess, however, that I'm actually not a huge Mozart fan and the Requiem is one of the few pieces for which I have a strong liking. Dies irae, dies illa...

Lol. You quoted my favorite part. I guess I'm not most people, because I love to sing along with it. I suppose having performed it before has nothing to do with it at all. Singing along to classical choral pieces just seems normal to me! (Maybe we're both bonkers?) Beethoven's 9th is another good one. Thanks for the review.

Well, I would love to do as you wish and finish this fic immediately, but I don't think that the admins would appreciate all of those chapters uploaded at once. However. I hope I can brighten your day a tiny bit by informing you that the next chapter is waiting to be validated. I certainly hope that the world can wait a little longer until this fic is completely finished! Thank you for your review.

Believe it or not, Severus' reclusive behaviors are the last thing on his mind right now. He'll deal with that after this major emergency.

Oh No! I hate cliffies! That was a great update and I can't wait to see how Severus deals with being in St. Mungos when hes trying to be a recluse! Anyways, I'll be patiently waiting for Chapter 8! Cheers ~

I'll admit that I too hate cliffies. But we authors live to befuddle our reader's minds, I think. I have sent the next chapter to SW, so, it won't be an incredibly long time in between updates. Recluse and St. Mungo's don't really jive, do they?

Nice bit of drama there. Pride comes before a fall as they say, and I guess Hermione's had a bit of a fall. Lucky Severus was there to catch her. Now she'll owe him her life and get all emotional. Good things could come from this, as long as she doesn't die or anything.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Good and bad things could come from all of this. But everything will probably work out in the end.

Great chapter, I loved Severus's protective side.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Thanks! He's protective, definitely. It comes out a bit rough from him, though.

Aww, poor Hermione! This was an amazing chapter, I didn't expect Lestrange to be hiding in his house.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Thank you so much! I'm not sure that Severus and Hermione fully expected to see him there either, but there he was. At least Severus did the bugger in.

Lol. Yup. Maybe it could be used to prevent teens from starting to smoke in High school.

"Suffice it to say that the prompt certainly wouldnt be fulfilled if this ended tragically. ;)"
Thanks for the tidbit of information: I won't need to pray all Gods tonight in bed for her life. ;o)

Thank heavens for that!

OMG... what a great opportunity for Snape to show some compassion, isn't it? ;-)
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Yes, it is. But will he let himself do so?

An interesting take on Hermione, but would she really bein the multi-millionaire class on a bookseller's profits, however successful? That's what it would take to own aMonet. And a niggle - it's "maitre d'" (short for maitre d'hotel).
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Okay, so I went a bit overboard with the Monet. But her real money comes from her quests. Some of the books she has uncovered are worth a Monet in themselves, so you can imagine that her reward for finding one would be quite large.I'll fix that maitre d' thing. I could have sworn I looked it up, but I find no evidence of my spelling anywhere. Lol. Must have been dreaming.

Glad to see an update! I know you have more on the way soon, right? Thanks for sharing this tale with us! I like your wizarding library. (Wish I haad one in my town.)
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Of course more is on the way. As for the library, it certainly would be nice to have one around. It would be nice to have magic too!

It is so good that they opened up like this to each other. His purging of his old hates and self-incrimination, and her being honest enough to admit that she saw the bigger picture of what was going on around her.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
I think her admissions helped him a great deal. Thanks!
*sigh happily* So romantic. When Cecil said, "She truly sees you as you are, and not how you picture yourself to be." I said YES. That is why this couple makes so much sense. And now they are off on another adventure. I'm very envious of your Hermione! A truly wonderful end to a very satisfying tale!
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
I think we all want to find someone who sees us as we truly are. Someone who looks beyond our human frailties to see the true person underneath. If anyone deserves that, it's Severus Snape. Thanks, hon. Glad you liked it.
Oh, such a romantic proposal! I love reading proposal scenes, and this one was perfect. I cried as well when my husband proposed (but then again, that's just me. I'm an unashamed crier). And I thought it was cute when Severus thought he was making her miserable. Oh, Severus!!
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Join the club... I too am an unashamed crier. I bawl at movies constantly. My husband just shakes his head. At least I have an emotional 15 year old to share my crying jags with. We just look at each other and give one another watery smiles. Lol.
So many lines I loved in this chapter. The "you can't start a relationship based on a love of books." ~snort~ I found that almost satirical, because so often in our fandom they are attracted to each other because of their love of books. Just made me chuckle!! And all of her friends are there for her, that's wonderful!! And then the emotional aspect for Severus as well, with Cecil. A very excellent chapter.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Well, I guess bookworms attract. Probably because they're the only ones in the library all day. Ron, Harry, and Ginny are adults now. Hopefully grown-up too. So, I wanted them to be supportive of Hermione. Thanks, kizzy!
What a wonderful ending for an enchanting story. Thank You!

Finished! No!This was brilliant, I'm so glad it finished this way. I may just even read it all again in one, I could easily go through it all again. Please to don't hesitate to write another like this *grins* lol.

Finished... yes. It's a bit sad to leave two people you've gotten really close to, but, life goes on. I'm not out of story ideas yet, so you'll be seeing me again.
