Hermione Granger had a job that gave her everything she wanted. However, money can't buy the one thing she desires most, the love of the reclusive Severus Snape.

I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

I knew she'd be OK. I think 'Steve' may have done them a favor in the long run.

He probably did, but he's still the scum of the Earth!

Oh boy she's got a winner there. Ugg I hate predatory males. Hopefully Severus will arrive to save her.

Yup, she's in a bit of trouble. We can only hope Severus isn't too deep in depression to not realize that something's not right.

OH, I hope he puts that memory in a penseive(sp?) and shows it to her!

That's a good idea, but she'd probably crawl under the couch in embarrassment!

It did seem like he would never recognize what was staring him in the face!As for Steve, if Hermione hadn't awakened when she did, he would have killed him. He saved him because he knew Hermione wouldn't have wanted him dead.

What to I think? Well, I think your story is brilliant and I can't wait to read the next chapter!! Your Severus is just perfect: adorably snarky, touchy, clueless, brooding, brilliant and sexy all at the same time. Well done!
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Why thank you! Especially the comment about Severus. It's nice to hear that he's coming off the way I want him to. I have tried to make him seem realistic. He's such an amazing character, I want to do him right. Lol, no pun intended.

Awww, that was so sweet! I have a sneaky feeling, however, that our dear, insufferable Severus is going to blame Hermione's confession on her drugged state, and you, dear author, are going to make us suffer more!!! Also loved what Sev did to Steve. *snerk*
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Kizzy, do you really think I'm that mean? Well, I may be... I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Severus probably will blame her confession on her drugged state. It would be hard for anyone to fully trust such a confession given such a situation. And Mr. Snark is a bit insecure. That being said, I think you'll enjoy the next chapter in any case.
Response from kizzy7 (Reviewer)
A bit insecure, hehe. That he is! And no, I do not think that you are *truly* that mean... I'm pretty sure I sense a happy ending for my absolute favorite couple.

Great Chapter! And 'Princess', it suits her and i can really imagine Severus saying it. I hope he tell's her everything, does he?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Oh, yay! I'm glad that didn't seem contrived. I really liked that line.Does he tell her everything? Maybe. It would be foolish of him not to, but sometimes he acts rather foolishly when it comes to affairs of the heart.

I love this chapter! Severus is so attuned to Hermione that he can tell when she is in danger! Don'cha love it?Steve got what was coming to him, and he's lucky that Hermione came to when she did, or Severus would have hexed more than his bits.I had to laugh at the way she came onto our Potions Master. Poor Severus, he didn't know whether to melt or let her be. I'm glad to know that they will be talking in the morning, but I wonder just how much she will remember? If she has no memory of what happened or the things she said to Severus, will he be willing to remind her? Probably not... this is Severus Snape we're talking about here. And then they will just torture themselves some more until they're ready to burst. You know what the best part was? Well, I'll tell you: “I love you too, Princess.” I just wanted to melt.Well done!!!Beth

I do love that Severus felt that Hermione was in trouble. As for Hermione, those types of drugs don't leave the memory in great shape. She won't remember much of what happened the night before. You'll have to wait and see what Severus decides to do about that. I'm glad you liked that last line. I debated it, wondering if it was too childish a name for her, but every time I considered changing it, I couldn't. It made me melt too.

Oh my oh my! What will poor Severus do? Will he think she was too woozy to say the truth? Or will it give him some hope? Severus needs some love, please don't let them leave each other! Love this story very much.

Yes to both of your questions. Well, I guess there were actually three questions. I meant the latter two. But the real question is what will he do about what he's learned?Thank you so very much for your review.

Aw, Severus to the rescue! I loved this chapter. I wonder what Severus will say to Hermione tomorrow?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
I didn't realize that this would be a cliffhanger of sorts. Heh, heh. I love it! Anyway, after much thinking and soul searching, he will tell her...Yeah, right. I got your hopes up, didn't I? I will update quickly, so you won't be wondering for too long. Thanks!

Will her believe what she said under the influence?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
That's really the million dollar question here, isn't it? How can he be sure that she's just not spouting off because of the drug? He's got a lot of thinking to do, and I'm sure he's somewhat eager to see how she reacts in the morning. Thanks, sunny.

With him admitting his love and the number of time his heart has melted at the sight or thought of her plus her own admission of her love for him, I do sincerely hope that he won't play the noble and say he is too old. And if he does it anyway, I'll track him and slap his head until he sees reason. ;)
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
One would hope that after that little encounter with Hermione, he's been slapped upside the head enough to see reason. But we are talking about Mr. Stubborn 'I-hate-myself-and-don't-deserve-to-be-loved' Snape here. So... get your slapping hand ready, just in case.

Loved the chapter!!!! I'm hoping and praying that he'll realize she said the truth even though she won't be able to remember it.Great work!! Update again soon!gab

It's really hard for him to know right now. He's got a lot to think about. On one hand, it could all be talk, which would be depressing. But on the other hand... that would be too good for him to believe true.

Thank you so much, both for the new chapter and for Severus to come to the rescue! I am so pleased that Severus made sure Steve won't be hurting anyone else in the future, a very nice detail in your story!I hope Severus spends the nigth thinking about Hermiones words and most importantly, accept them for being true. I am hopefull though due to your words at the end of this chapter:-)) I look forward to read more!!!

Hope springs eternal, right? Well, I will update soon, so you won't have to wonder for too long. Thank you for the lovely review. It took me a bit of time to think up a proper consequence for Steve. I know Severus just wanted to kill him right then and there, but Hermione calling to him made him think twice. And of course he will spend the night pondering. What conclusions he comes up with will be evident when they speak in the morning.

Oh bugger – I hope he doesn't get one of his "you are too young to know what you are talking about" fits. Thank you for the quick update, I was really scared at the end of the previous chapter!

That would be awfully typical of him, wouldn't it? He's got a lot to think about. Hopefully his love for her will overpower his brain telling him how impossible everything is.

Lovely chapter. I love sloppy, loopy Hermione. She's more fun. Lol. Not to say that the date rape drug thing is ok. Good job! Cant' wait for more dear!

No, it's definitely not okay, but the results were good. Thank heavens for Severus coming to the rescue.

good chapter, although it seems kind of unfair to have Steve punished for something he doesn't even remember. But then, I believe in karma and that's the same thing.I'm glad Seerus didn't take advantage of Hermione. However willing she might have been, he couldn't be certain it wasn't the drugs talking. Good chapter!

Actions have consequences, whether we remember what we did to deserve it or not! In this world of 'pass the buck' there's really not much difference between him not understanding and others saying it wasn't their fault. One thing Severus Snape is, is honorable. And you're right, he can't be certain what her ramblings truly mean.

Little did I know I was leaving sort of a cliff hanger here. Heh, heh. It seems obvious to me what he'll do, but I wrote it, of course. And really, he could go either way, couldn't he? I know, I'm a big help.

Here he comes to save the day! Three cheers for Severus, and the fantastic bits-masher spell! Really good, and I'm so glad you didn't have her assaulted. That would have been a hard recovery. Also interesting way of getting the truth of her feelings out. And so funny, as well. Now, what will the sour, black bat do with it??? Can't wait to find out!
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Ugh, I just couldn't do that to her. I know in 'real-life' things like that definitely happen, but it's just so awful. And it definitely would be a hard recovery. She's been through enough with the war. She doesn't need more horrible things to give her nightmares! What will happen next? I'll get the next chapter up as soon as I can, so you won't be hanging.

That was great! I can't wait till the next chapter. Perfect revenge on Steve by the way... don't kill him, just make him regret he ever had anything hanging between his legs! Ha!

sounds like you have a head of curly hair yourself. true?
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Heh, heh. My curls come from a perm, which has been mostly cut off. My hair is dark brown and pretty straight, although it began to curl some after I had children. That was a big surprise to me. I had it cut shorter than I had anticipated a few months ago and want it to get a bit longer before I reperm it and wind up with curls up to my ears! My ten year old has Hermione hair though. She hates it, but I'm just so jealous.

have you read The Bestiary by Nicholas Christopher? (a book, not a fanfic).
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
No, I haven't. What's it about. I would guess a bestiary. Lol.
Response from mock_turtle (Reviewer)
It's about this guy who's obsessed with finding this rare book, which happens to be a bestiary--a compendium of animals, both real and imaginary. he spends the novel looking for it. it takes him most of the way around the world...rather interesting.

I'm glad that the ghost was friendly (for lack of a better way to phrase it) That Steve character, though, I hope Severus uses him for potion ingredients!

It would be nice to see Steve chopped up into precise cubes, wouldn't it? The next chapter will be up soon, so you'll find out what happens then.

Oh Crap. This girl just can't stop getting herself into trouble can she? I was doing a little dance when the ghostie ended up being cool and them leaving with the book. Then Severus obviously wants my foot up his bum and on top of it all Hermione is about to get raped in an alley....just fabulous. I hope someone manages to rescue her (hint hint!). Please don't leave me on this cliff too long! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Thanks Brena. I really don't think Mr. Snape wants your boot in his rear, but, he'd deserve it now, wouldn't he? I've said it before, the guy is his own worst enemy. The next chapter is moving up the queue, so you should have your answers soon.

I enjoyed your latest chapter, except the drugging, and that's not your fault! A friend of mine was actually drugged and raped early this year. We am getting past it. That's not as self-centered as it sounded. I am affected by it because I am her constant sounding board and "doctor." (not to mention I told her to stop hanging around with that crowd! survivor's guilt!)So it really can happen! so watch your drinks and if you lose sight of them, lose the drink as well. Thanks for continuing this tale. I am enjoying seeing them blunder towards friendship, and maybe something more.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
That's truly awful. It's really upsetting to know that this is a real problem, which I was aware of, of course. But still... just the thought of someone being so selfish and taking advantage of someone like that is very disturbing. I'm sure that such an event would take a long time to get over, if ever ultimately. I'm sure even once the feelings were controlled it would color your vision of people and drive your responses to things in some way. This is yet another example of how we must always watch our backs in our society. As for Hermione and Severus, they do blunder, don't they? Well, Severus will mull things over and maybe take a shot at love come this next chapter.
