I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Thank you! At least he's actually gotten to the friendship part. The man is a turtle.

Great work!! I really like that he's thawing slowly. That makes it all the more believable...gab

Thank you! The man obviously has some insecurity issues. I don't think he would jump right into a relationship with anybody, no matter what his feelings are for them.

Progress! About time he realised he is not friendless.

Yes, it is. But you can't blame the guy. It's not like people were jumping up and down with joy every time he entered a room.

Possitive Mental Attitude... that's the key here. Hermione is wearing him dow, and I think on some level she can see that, she just doesn't seem to have conciously realised it. I like the portrayal of Sev's state of mind, it must be hard for one so abused by... well, by everyone, to ever accept simple, honest affection. Hopefully our heroine will teach him that letting his guard down is not always a bad thing. Sometimes the most wonderful things can slip in through the cracks in ones walls.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
You are so right! (about everything!) Severus definitely has a hard time with other's affections, simply because no one has ever really shown him affection. He certainly doesn't see someone as totally put together as Hermione ever being able to see anything worthwhile in him. That, of course, will be his biggest stumbling block. But Hermione will eventually help him to see himself in a better light.

Nice chapter, I love how they are starting to really notice each other and how they are worming their way into each other's psyche.

This story is so cute. I hope they realize they have the same feelings for one another soon. And what's up with stupid Pierre coming back? I hope he doesn't set Hermione & Severus' relationship back!! Stupid Pierre. Anyways keep those Chapters coming! Cheers! ~Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Stupid Pierre won't set them back. I will say that much. He'll be the catalyst for an interesting conversation. Glad you're having fun with this. They will eventually realize everything, it will just take Severus time. (No, not 50 years!)

Yes, he is. But he's just the catalyst Hermione needs to make an important decision.

Both getting snippy with each other, both over reacting, both apologizing to each other..... sounds like love to me!Severus spent two long days and nights in a hospital chair keeping watch over Hermione, not worrying about being recognized. Hermione went back to Lestrange's house to get the book for Severus. Soon enough, I expect, they will get around to expressing their feelings for one another. But I'll be there are plenty of adventures ahead of them, too.Great chapter, and I so enjoy this story. Good for you! You done good!Beth

Yes, it does seem like love, doesn't it? But certain snarky potions masters wear blinders when it comes to such feelings. Those will need to be stripped at some point for him to see clearly.Thank you for your lovely review.

yes but it was lovely to see them both admitting their weaknesses. thanks so much for the terrific update.

Thanks to you too for the lovely review. It was big of both of them to say what they did at the end, admitting such weaknesses. Perhaps they have a chance?

Excellent. I imagine this scene might repeat a time or two in the chapters to come, both of them have a lot to learn about co-existing with others. Hopefully they'll learn together.

It probably will manifest itself in one way or another. I do think the longer they spend in each other's company, the easier dealing with one another will become.

You are making it really hard to pick a story I like the most. There are some really awesome story written and this one is diffently one of them. I hold my breathe during the whole chapter. Amazing. Truly amazing.

You know when Severus yelled at her and was so furious I thought he would kiss her in the heat of the moment. I'm glad he calmed down enough to see he was indeed overreacting and all can hope now is that he will take the time to analyse his feelings and discover that he is a bit more than just caring for her. And because I particularly like this chapter and because you made a very quick update this is for you
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
Thank you for the pretty flower. I thought he was going to kiss her too. Maybe he would have if he hadn't been so irate. I'm sure he'll analyze his feelings at some point. He's a bit of a slug when it comes to recognizing those feelings, though.

Severus is such a kind soul hidden behind the scowl!Sitting at her bedside for two days! Someone who doesn't care wouldn't do that. he could've just left her in the hospital... and he was too shy to take her hand *sniff*Their big argument made me really scared and I thought that they'll be not friends again. But then, severus was just upset because she had tried to please him and risked her life for that... *another sniff*The apology with the flower was brilliant! It was so heartwarming, and so Severus, in a way, as I think that if he ever feels like apologising then he would do it in a simple way. Waiting eagerly for more!

He really is a concerned man with rather deep emotions. Hermione is lucky that his emotions didn't get the best of him. He actually restrained himself pretty well. I think he was very tempted to just throw her out and tell her never to return. Fortunately, he sat back for a minute and actually thought about everything that happened.

I think it is great that they were both able to see where they were wrong at. Having Severus admit he was wrong about anything was a surprise.
Response from debjunk (Author of All She Ever Wanted: Money Can't Buy Everything)
It really is a surprise to see Severus basically apologize. He's a tough cookie. At least he took the time to step back and analyze the whole situation.

I liked the chapter and am glad the Hermione is alright. I wanted to shout at Hermione along with Severus when she went and got the book anyway.Update soon!

She really didn't think at all, did she? At least she realized it in the end and it didn't ruin all of her devious planning to get Severus.

Thank you for the update, I am so happy you made them friends again by the end of the chapter!

Things weren't headed that way, were they? Well, Severus fought his usual responses a bit there, I think.

That was really enjoyable. I liked that she understood he was upset because he cared, but since they don't really know where they stand with each other, it heightened everything.

They're really just grasping around in the dark right now. But all in all, the whole affair could have gone much worse. I'm glad you liked it.
